The Lore Master finished the stew and rang the dinner bell. She waited until everyone was served before giving the lecture.
“Please eat as I do a quick lecture. I doubt that anyone knows why the things that happened in the tunnel were a hard lesson that needed to be learned and learned well. I sent you through knowing that you would have visions and your senses tested. I too went through the tunnel the first time without knowing what was going on.
Here is the lesson that you should have learned. Never trust your senses when you are in a new situation. Do not trust what you do not know. In the world of magic there are ways to trick a person into thinking that something is what it is not. DO NOT FORGET THIS LESSON! It is very valuable lesson.
This winter we will be doing more with our senses including trying to fool each other into thinking that something is what it is not. Magic is a wonderful thing to have but for those who are not experienced in magic, magic can and will make fools out of each other.
Also going through the tunnel opened the magical core that is inside of each of you. I will teach you more of that when we start classes.
All food supplies will be placed in the large building in the crossroads. I have containers in there that will be filled so that each person will have their own supply of food. There are some kegs of various alcohols that I will allow people to have on special occasions. We need to focus on healthy eating. I will allow people to take the containers and buckets of food after we eat.
Tomorrow, we shall start the day out with the Introduction to Dragons. Speaking of Dragons, the hatchlings will soon be hatching. In fact, they will hatch early in the morning.
Remember to take the basket with you. I have them set up in the warehouse. Each basket will contain a blanket, two towels, container of fruit and one of meat – both are cut up into tiny bits. After you find your dragon- you will hear only one hatchling who has chosen you to bond with- dry it down, speak to it mentally, feed it a bit and bring it out of the volcano. Bring it to the main cave. All of the caves are labeled on the map which I gave you.
