This account is pretty inactive now. But I pop on from time to time to see if anything of interest pops up. I tend to drop out of things with writers block if I find myself lacking in interest, but do try to keep things long=term. Been offline for most of the last 12 months but hoping I might soon find something to get me back in that RP saddle.

"Quite the bizarre method for making a choice." Lance chuckles as Tawny reveals her reason for picking a spear. "Won't be so pretty if you need to use it though." When Tawny gestured towards the stall Lance glances over as he listens to her comment. "Well I guess we can. I got this covered, back in a sec. Uh... maybe you should hold this for a sec, seems to be making people uneasy." Lance removes the sheathed weapon which he'd had slung over his shoulder resting its tip against the ground before leaning it toward Tawny.

Lance then made his way over to the vendor stand wearing a smile on his face as he gathered an assortment of the sweets on offer before swinging the coin purse into his hand opening it up. He peeps inside as he fetches a few of the coins from its contents before placing them down on the stall. Little surprise but he wasn't really sure of the value of the currency he'd tried to hand over. "Eh... enough?" He asks as he looks to the vendor, who simply shook his head. "More."
"Well alright..." Lance stated before handing over more of the coin. Although he had no comprehension of the currency the amount of coin he was handing over felt a little like he was being ripped off. "There you go."

Lance goes to take the goods and leave when the vendor reaches over and grabs his cuff shaking his head. "More." Was this vendor serious. Lance smiles as he leans forward toward the vendor. "Look, hehe..." Lance spoke softly as he looked back to Tawny still wearing a smile. He turned back to the vendor. "I may not understand the currency, but I do understand when someones trying to rip me off.
So here's the thing."
Lance's voice got quieter with each word. "You're gonna take your coin, and I'm gonna take what I purchased. You'll let go, or I'll snap your arm in two." Upon finishing Lance yanked his arm free as he took his purchase. "Thank you and good day." He walked over to Tawny still wearing his smile. "So should we head back?"

@Raptra
Jake glanced up from his food occasionally to the watch the movements of the different individuals within the room. Such a wide variety of personalities, it was actually quite the display, ah an altercation. It didn't seem to take long for such an encounter to occur, though he had to wonder what exactly had brought it on in the first place. Perhaps different opinions during the war? Well if that was the case the hood he had up seemed to be serving its purpose well enough, plus thankfully he was graced with being far enough from the point of origin to be treated to any of the... debris from the fall out. "Well if nothing else this will be an interesting endeavour." Jake whispered to himself before deciding to ignore the goings on and return to his food.

Though curiosity remained on his mind as he kept an ear open for interesting goings on. "...it's kinda my job to know who pretty much everyone is." it'd be a moment after hearing this that Jake almost coughed up his full mouthful of food as he quickly covered his mouth trying to stifle it. Well I most certainly hope that's an exaggeration. Jake thought to himself. The next part of what the person said almost made it sound like they were some kind of noble, maybe they were... The status of Nobility and the council was hardly the business of the Lucshen, the Firestrom maybe, but for them it was often best to steer clear of the highers where possible.

Despite his lack of knowledge of who, well who pretty much everyone in the room was simply listening in seemed to be paying off on learning names. Self judgement on tones and posture offered small inclinations for some as to their status within the community. All the while he was able to avoid altercation of his own or any undue or requested judgement from those that would supposedly be his peers. Not that such judgement could be holey claimed as wrong, the misguided and written truth is much the truth for some after all.

An impressive feat of magic was eventually displayed as a means of breaking up the two opponents, even though a student had already volunteered themselves into intervening the situation. The way they spoke and look, must of been on of the teachers, right? The claim of a non-bullshit speech of one context, came across as a bullshit speech in another context as they asserted themselves of being in control of situation. Jake almost chuckled at the comment of school property as he recalled the donation plaque near the entrance to the common area. "But sir, surely most of this 'school property' was purchased with their families funding." Jake's thoughts had escaped him in form of speech as he blankly stared ahead of himself, almost as though he'd frozen in the moment. perhaps that was unwise. Jake, having somewhat recomposed, returned to eating his fill.
Jake thought it was questionable whether indeed this truck was even driving along a road. The number of bumps occurring on the journey was starting to become ridiculous, and to top it off the truck didn't sound like it was in the most road worthy of conditions. Whats with this shoddy piece of... Crack! Jake's head delivered a not healthy sound as a hard bump sent him head first to the pole raising from the seat in front. Recoiling he raised a hand straight to his forehead as he blinked several times, nothing quite like starting the day with a throbbing headache.

As he sat back with one hand to his head he had ultimately decided that it was probably best to spend the rest of the journey holding himself in place as he gripped the chair in front. He delivered a less then friendly glare at his neighbour who was chuckling at his misfortune. Of course it must of been satisfying to be sitting in the window seat, not that Jake would really know. His height didn't play him well for sitting in that position, lest his legs take up all the room of the adjacent seat. He sighed as he stretched his legs out down the gangway from his aisle seat, nothing like being tall to make any journey in a cramped vehicle uncomfortable.

Another bump, Jake rolled his eyes as to what had somehow become customary. The truck would hit a bump the students to stupid to still not be holding on faced the consequences and then in some uproar everyone then complained about the bump. Oh please, let this end soon. Surprisingly, not making a racket seemed to be the way to best draw attention to oneself on this journey, though Jake just sat there with his hood up on his top ignoring those that would soon be his classmates and peers. Had he decided to join in the outcome would likely be it'd be the one time everyone else remained quiet, or everyone would realise it was the first time on this journey he had spoke. Either way it seemed like that would be a lose-lose situation for him, so he may as well settle for what he has now: a headache and what seemed to be now a less than amused neighbour.

Eventually the truck stopped with a mechanical squeal, Jake gritted his teeth and squinted his eyes as the high pitched noise caused an unintended shiver, such a horrible noise. The students began to file out of the vehicle one after the other, Jake would soon follow suit forcibly by the need to let the person that had been sat at the window out if nothing more. As he exited the vehicle he gathered his luggage but remained firmly rooted where he stood as he watched all the other students heading toward the school before joining setting off toward the school as the last student of his group. "Well... this is something alright." Jake commented to himself as he checks out the outside surroundings. Truth was he'd never seen a building so big, his family wasn't exactly well off in any sense of the words. He slowly trotted at his own pace toward the building.

Once inside he saw the last student before him signing something before being handed some papers and being sent on his way. Guess that's the first step... Jake in turn walked over to the desk looking at the sheet the student before him had written on, oh great, a roster. Jake grabbed the pen as he stared at the sheet for a moment as though he'd forgotten his own name. He looked over his shoulder to check for other students. Seeing none he quickly squalled down 'Jake Lucshen' on the roster. "Lucshen huh? Sorry about that kid." The person behind the desk said before handing Jake the map, rules and schedule, Jake simply shook his head in response. "Please head to the common area." Jake quickly glanced at the map before folding it and stuffing it into his jean pocket before heading off to the common area as his eyes scanned over the rules and schedule.

"Welcome Students, huh? Well I guess we'll see about that." Jake whispered to himself as he saw the welcome banner above the common area entrance. There seemed to be a number of students already here and most seemed like they probably knew each other at least by name. Introductions was not really a good social activity for Jake, best a matter to be avoided if possible... Jake glanced around, until he saw the table of food. With a small smile he walked over, he wasn't going to turn down a free meal as he grabbed a plate looking at the offerings. Jake spent some time, humming to himself as he carefully places items on the plate almost artfully piling as much on as he thought he could stomach. Turning around with his mountain of food in hand he looked around for an available seat before strolling over to an available one not too close to any of the other students. He takes a seat rubbing his hands together before digging in.
@EchoicChamberThat's quite alright. That laugh isn't sarcastic it genuinely made me chuckle :P
Akira Kage

Akira continued to wonder the corridors on his search. He had no real way of deciding a heading for himself, for all he knew each step he took was leading him further away from what he seek. The section of the school he was in didn't seem to bear any remarkable designs, it just seemed like a normal school, for some reason he had expected more. "Come on where are you?..." Akira said to himself softly as he stopped to concentrate more on his ability to seek Arken's aura but to no avail.

As he begun walking again however he felt something. Someone was following him and their intents did not seem all that pure before he heard their voice call out to him. Feigning surprise Akira flinched as he stopped mid-step before turning around. His eye's checking over the one that had interrupted his search. "Ahh, Kitsune Lilith. Greetings, I am Akira Kage." He faked a perfect returning smile of sincerity to the creature stood before him. "I am simply seeking our... clearly illusive host, Head Master Arken. My late arrival was, as I believe to have been expected, though I don't believe he had expected me to arrive so close to his school introductions." Akira kept the conversation polite, in anything maybe he could bore his social partner he'd found himself with.

Akira thinks for a moment before speaking once more. "Though down here in these corridors there is not much to be found." Akira shrugs continuing. "Which does raise the question of why you might also be here? If I'm not mistaken I had passed you whilst making my way through the grand hall, so you clearly didn't miss the school hand-outs." Akira continued to offer his fake smile, as it was evident that he understood Lilith's intentions were not ones of niceties. "Anyway I must be off, need to find Arken and get my things after all. I'm sure I'll see you again soon." Akira finishes as he turns to leave before stopping himself. Showing a sincere smile for the first time. "Though a word of advice if I may... Always remember though your face can tell a beautiful lie, your aura will always betray your true intentions. Ciao." With that Akira turned once more and begun walking the corridors of the school once more, softly whistling to himself as he did so.

@The One (Seeking out Arken) @DragonKingUk
Akira Kage

It had felt like he'd been wondering around on the fields on the outskirts of the academy for hours. "For the record, heh... heading up early was a stupid idea. Some students have already arrived, managed to stay out sight though just as planned." Akira clicked the stop button on the small recorder as he slid it back into his pocket before lowering his face scarf and cowl. This island certainly was impressive, Arken had done well for himself. Though admiration for the person running the show, that was far from the reasons he was sent here. Such a shame, maybe in another universe things could of turned out a bit differently. The boy sighed as he kicked the dirt softly as he strolled back and forth, keeping clear of the Academy's main entrance but not so far that he couldn't head inside easily enough.

"Simply entry... just gotta wait for the main student body to arrive." Akira said to himself softly as he continued to pace. He stopped before retrieving a shrewdly drawn map from his pocket, unfolding it as he glanced around his surroundings once more. "What idiot even provided this..." Akira glanced round once more. "Can't trust those intel guys with even the simplest of tasks sometimes." Akira's head perks up for a moment before dropping back down. "Two more in the nest it would seem, no need to move yet." Akira retrieved the recorder once more clicking the record button. "Equipment confirmation check, as required..." Akira's voice was almost monotone as he goes over the scripted line. "Daggers two, one iron and one silver. Hand crossbow..." Akira glanced down at his waist. "pre-loaded for quicker engagement. And finally 10 bolts stashed amongst the personal effects. It has been... emphasised that no more than this is required, where possibly bolts should be recovered for multiple use. Any additional will be self made at site if needed."

"Now I guess, the wait continues. I wonder what's going on down there, fights may be? Hell they might be surprising everyone with no fights at all... yeah right." Akira moved over closer to the academy. Remaining out of direct sight from the grand hall entrance, but lent up close by. Soon he would move, or at least that was what he had hoped. "Wow... that's a lot of people. Hope Arken knows what him and his staff are in for." No sooner had he begun his makeshift resting place had his mind been flooded by the different aura's that had all entered simultaneously into the Academy's building, one of which was exerting a dominant level of power to the others, easy to pick out. "There you are Arken." With that Akira pushed himself off from the wall to make his way round to the grand hall entrance. There was no need for him to remain outside of the academy and with the number of students that would now be in there, he would be able to enter with little to no chance of drawing unwanted attention to himself.

He had not however planned for such a short introduction, by the time he was at the entrance Arken had clearly moved. "Damn it." Akira mumbled shaking his head, no point in worrying about it though he entered the building. As he does so a student leaves past him the level of anger emanating from them was pretty impressive. As Akira turns to look he's almost shocked by what he see's as he grabs his recorder. "So the intel was good, Sekhemi is here. Looks like his leaving... no skin off our noses his life expectancy will be shorter outside then inside this place anyway." Akira whispered into the recorder not wanting to draw attention for Sekhemi before heading inside.

This was quite the collection of weirdo's Arken had seemed to assemble. Though for a mystic academy this was the closes to normal Akira could expect. A lot of faces to remember, names weren't important they'd be easy enough to extract with a bit of 'friendly conversation'. The expected turn-outs had arrived to the academy, didn't look like anyone had turned down their invites, Sekhemi's continued attendance however seemed questionable a best. There were some that Akira wasn't so sure on, they were an interesting find but there was likely a reason for it, lack of interest from his associates being the most likely scenario in his eyes. "Oh great... What are they doing here." Three students in particular stood out from the group like sore thumbs, though to most of the students that wouldn't be the case. Were his circumstances different he might of seen fit to address them, but in this moment in time his most pressing matter was to find Arken.

It appeared that some of the students may have been planning to disperse themselves so they'd clearly received room keys and other effects from Arken already. "Hunting time then." Akira made his way through the student body as he headed further into the Academy he had no particular route in mind he was just trying to locate the man in question, he felt for his aura but clearly teleportation magic had been used, all that remained was the stagnating remnants of his presence in the Grand Hall.
"Royalty?" Irvine found himself asking as he looked at the unconscious person laying on the ground. Irvine had thought royalty were supposed to be quite powerful, this did not match what he'd just seen however as the man had received a rather thorough 'beat down' by some of the other students. "I'm not entirely sure... that was over faster than I originally could have imagined." There was almost a hint of disappointment in his voice as Irvine slid the shadow hilt back into its pouch. "Guess I won't be needing this after all."

Irvine watch as the person who had initially humiliated the man rushed to his aid following the beating. "Such odd behaviour, I don't get it." Irvine comments as he watches this person shout out at those that had ganged up on this unconscious royal. "Why can't people stick to their original intent? So much mind changing all the time..." Irvine would of potentially ranted on further but Leval was soon taken away from the royal by another student, leaving another student to deal with the wounded Sekhemi.

"Well I'd say this morning has been pretty eventful huh?" Irvine asks as his eyes grow wide as he sees something different in the distance. "Where did... what the hell is that?" Irvine asked as he pointed over at Rika, Irvine was pretty sure there was a more 'normal' looking student there before but what he was seeing now, that wasn't there before. "That sort of like you? You know, the whole shape changing thing?" Irvine rubbed his head before sitting on the ground. "You know what, I think this is about as much excitement as I could possibly handle within this small span of time. Whatever that is, so long as it's staying over there... I'm just gonna sit here." Irvine's shadow hood fades as a straight layer forms behind his back allowing him to rest against it.

@EchoicChamber
@The One Oh I know who might kill him from past experience :P
Epsilons speech in response to his concerned seemed... motivational? Was that the right word? "Thanks... I think? But I'm not sure the whole good thing really applies." Irvine forced another smile, the interaction was not something he was familiar with nor was the act of being something that resembled happiness. But to him smiling seemed a common interaction he had observed others doing so it was possibly something to try and get used to at least. "So, when do you think we'll be able to head up to the academy?"

As Irvine asked it felt somewhat like the ground was off-settled, like someone was shaking it, not so much a quake just a disturbance. That's when he turned to see the parade of animals and people singing as they headed onto the field. Wait they're not all students right?" Irvine asked openly as he looked to see someone riding atop the elephant. He looked again, several different animals, men with rather exotic weapons along with some... not so finely dressed people. "Hey Epsilon, is that guy what people would call a... 'Circus Ring Master'?" Irvine paused for a moment. "If that's a stupid question I've only really seen them from the outside, if at all."

Whoever he was his attitude was pretty rude, not exactly a great way to introduce himself to a potential audience. Not only that but his entrance seemed to have angered some of the other students. One of whom, a spell caster of sorts had made it their own personal objective to completely ruin the display. The animals now looked like they'd been living on the streets for longer than he had, and the tatters wearing people now had nice clothes. The nice clothes person was in tatters, this was all a bit much to witness happen at the same time but it was pretty impressive to watch. Irvine turned towards where the spell seemed to originate clapping his hands, before turning back towards the person that now seemed worse for ware in appearance. He didn't look to happy, if anything he looked angry. Irvine gulped,'Guess that wasn't all just a show' He reaches his hand for a leather pouch at his belt, retrieving the shadow hilt. The rather basic looking sword guard looked like it had been broken off of some ancient weapon. "Uhh, don't worry this looks useless but I swear it does stuff... sometimes."
