So many questions ran through Oliver's head, but the primary one was why him? He wanted to believe this was all true, but he just couldn't fully believe. Not yet at least. With all the others accepting the request to join the team the last one was Ollie. He didn't want to disappoint them, but he didn't know if he was strong enough.

His thoughts kept drifting back to his parents, and he thought to himself, *What would they want me to do?* He knew that they had wanted him to live his own life. Not controlled by Galatec. He realized that the only way to do that was probably with these people. If he went back he would die. No other option. He just hoped he wouldn't mess things up. "I'm not sure how much help I'll be, but I guess it's the only thing to do. I'll help. Just tell me what to do, and I'll get it done."

Basics on how the group works

OK this is a basic rundown of how the group at San Clemente High School works. Each month everyone votes on who they want to be a part of a five person council. The five with the most overall votes are the leaders for that month(everyone only gets one vote). The five then determine who will run what for that month. The five areas are Scavenging, Security, Supplies, Inner Management(keep peoples morale up and punishment if need be), and Walker and Foreigner Control(deals with the walker cleanup mostly and people who aren't apart of the group). No one person is allowed to run the same position two months in a row. No one person is allowed to be on the council for more than five months in a row. Every Monday Wednesday and Friday the council meet together to discuss any recent developments and on Saturdays they give a weekly update to the members of the group. Any time a new person shows up they ask them the three questions that are asked in the show to new people in addition to, "Is there someone after you?" and if yes then, "Why?"

Each person typically has their own way to run a division but they are all very similar. For Scavengers the person in charge picks three people to run their own teams. People can be on multiple teams and anyone can be on the team. Security just picks who they want watching the defenses and how often and the rotations. Supplies picks one person to assist them in taking care of the supplies and does continual counts of the items they have and determine the rations for the month. Inner Management just deals with the people. Works kinda like a psychiatrist really. Also determines punishment based on what occurred. Walker and Foreign Control typically just takes out straggling walkers outside the school and key locations around the city. Also deals with anyone who isn't part of the group.

Current leaders of group

Charles is a trustworthy ex-drill sergeant. He is very friendly to all the children. When he isn't instructing those under him people describe him as a child at heart.

Sandra is an older woman who was the Principal's secretary. She is strict yet kind. She doesn't tolerate rude behavior and is very organised.

Jefferson was one of the teachers at the school so he knows the ins and out of the building very well. He is called a stiff and loves making up useless protocol. He means well.

Dominic is a ex-conman but tells everyone he was a train conductor. He is very selfish but hides it. He really doesn't care about the group except for his little daughter.

Ollie is Alex's older brother. He was a pro baseball player. He is a leader type of person. Determined, hard-working, and cares about his siblings and the group.

So far that has happened is the current month's leaders were picked. Ollie was put in charge of scavenging and picked three people to lead teams. Sent Megan south to set up check points and watch a wall that has been built at Oceanside and to watch Camp Pendleton which is infested with Walkers. Sent Roberto east to do normal scavenging. Sent Alex north to intercept Dana Point survivors and help them if they can be trusted. Alex picked Clara/Erin (Demon's character) and Haru (an npc attached to Clara/Erin) to be on his team. They reached radio contact with Camyllia (Aintitfun's character) and are in a firefight with some drunk men. I haven't gone into great detail of what is happening back at the high school yet but if you need me to I will quicken my process on fleshing out Dominic (My planned second character(maybe)) and doing a post for there.

brrzt brrzt brrzt From down the hall, "Alex. Turn off your alarm!"

"Yeah, it's to loud." Alex's little sister and brother walked into his room annoyed that he is somehow sleeping through one of the loudest alarms that one could have. Sadie shuts it off then hands Micky a squirt gun, "Payback time." The two started spraying Alex with water and the once sleeping Alex became a really alert and annoyed Alex. "Ahh. What the heck. Come here." Alex said as he jumped out of bed and bolted for the little buggers that were his siblings.

The chase had begun and they were running through the house until Alex caught Micky. He took him to the ground and they rolled around laughing. Sadie walked over to them to spray Alex again, but he quickly grabbed Micky's squirt gun and shot it at Sadie, "Booyah. Gotcha both." As Alex stood back up their mother walked out of the kitchen and said, "Alright. Stop making a mess in my house. Sadie, Micky, go get towels to soak up the water. Alex, did you forget something?"

"Uhh, I don't think so. Fed the dog last night, took out the trash, if you're talkin' about breakfast I can just eat brunch."

"You will eat breakfast, but that isn't what I am talking about." What? Then what could it be? Alex had done all his chores and even helped Micky and Sadie with theirs. What did he forget? Then he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. It was a text from Ari. Wonder what it is,

Guys, its time. get over here. me n Lizzy have cookies.

"Oh, crap. The road trip." Alex quickly ran back to his room and got ready. He did last minute packing by just shoving random clothes into his bag. He had already put essential things in his truck last night and bolted down the stairs once he had everything, "Bye. I'll call at stopping points. Later." From in the house could be heard the usual things one would hear from family before going on a trip. Alex chunked his stuff into the back of his truck and hopped in.

When he arrived he saw that Theo was already there. He parked the truck off to the side and walked over to the door. He entered the house and followed the beautiful smell of fresh cookies. In as serious and monotone a voice he could make he said, "Alright, children. I need to see your permission slips now." Then he reached for a cookie and stuffed it in his mouth keeping his usual straight face the whole time.
