Appearance:

Personality: Sweet, innocent, and caring. Sadie is a natural caretaker. It is just who she is. Whenever she sees anyone hurting or in need she can't help but try to take care of them no matter who they are or what they've done. Although she does at times neglect to take care of herself and if anyone mentions it she will get upset. She makes friends easy, but she won't abandon her closest friends.

Occupation before the breakout: Student

Skills: Natural caretaker. Very friendly. Can find/bring out the good in people.

Fears/Incompetencies: Being alone for an extended period of time. The death of a loved one. Will every now and then have a mental breakdown.

Equipment: A bookbag with some water, food, a change of clothes, a few medical supplies, hair brush, toothbrush, two and a half tubes of toothpaste, hair ties, and a winter jacket.

History: Sadie wasn't born a Hill. She was adopted into the family. When she was really young two men killed her parents and injured her and her brother when trying to kidnap them. Fortunately the police arrived to save the children and arrest the kidnappers. Sadly Sadie's brother died in the hospital. When she became stable she was moved to the Children's Hospital. She quickly became attached to a volunteer there by the name of Alex. Because of no close or distant relatives she was gonna be put into the foster system, but Alex begged his parents to adopt her so that wouldn't happen.

When the trio watched as the guy who had been previously knocking on the door was yanked in and the other man looked out the window, Alex said, "Crap. This could be bad. You two stay quiet." Both nodded in agreement as someone came to open the gate. Alex slowly drove in and parked in the spot next to the other newcomer. As the three got out of the truck Alex grabbed his sword and slung it on his back.

When he entered the building he was surprised when the first thing they did was check his and the other guys arms. Then a girl about the same age as him came up barking off at the guy who brought them inside. It was a little funny to him that someone his age was in charge. As she told them the story of the previous day, Alex wasn't surprised at all. Being a school they were a massive target for bandits and looters. He was surprised at the news of a baby. Maybe that meant this place was safer than it looked. He didn't show any reaction on his face though. The past few days he'd seen many horrid things but nothing so far made him back down. Sadie and Micky, however, had looks of concern on their faces.

Alex followed the girl and already had a list of things in his mind that they were doing wrong, but it still seemed safe none the less. As she showed them their rooms Alex shrugged off the fact that the fighters were meant to be downstairs and the non-combatants upstairs and he was being placed in the upstairs. Didn't matter to him. These people didn't mean much to him. Sadie and Micky's protection were top priority, and if this place was safe then staying here for a while might do some good.

He was about to speak up when someone he never expected to see walked up behind the 'leader'. *Erin McGarth? Haven't seen her in years.* The last time Alex had seen this girl was when he was barely a teenager. They were introduced by her aunt and she was one of the few that he would interact with. At the time she seemed hurt. He did his best to hang out with her because he enjoyed seeing her smile. Sadly his family moved after awhile and he didn't say goodbye. He regrets it now seeing as he won't be able to easily avoid her. When she made her requests of the woman in charge Alex was surprised. The once young scared girl seemed to not be as afraid now. Guaranteed it has been a few years. He wasn't gonna let her go alone though.

He turned to Sadie and Micky whispering, "You two stay here. Be safe and stick together. I'll be right back. I need to figure some things out about these people." The two gave a worried nod and went to their new room. Alex turned to follow Erin without caring much about what the leader had to say. It's not like he'd let anyone get hurt on his watch. He did turn to say to her, "Look, you don't have to worry about me causing trouble. I just want to keep my family safe, but if anything happens to them. Someone will answer for it. Just sayin'. Oh and by the way, if you want I got a few supplies in my truck if ya wanna check it out. Stick to the bed though. I'd appreciate it if you didn't mess with the cabin." He caught up with Erin and said, "You ain't gotta worry about me. I can do my own work. Can easily do Sadie and Micky's as well. Could even do yours if ya needed me to. So small world ain't it Erin. Never thought I'd see you again. Sorry for disappearing without a word. My family moved and I was to nervous to say bye to anyone. So, I guess I should say bye before I say hello. Anyway where we headin' for some gear?" Alex regretted that he was about to try and use Erin to get info, but he wanted to know if this school was truly safe. He knew Erin would eventually see through his slightly cocky facade, but he'd know what he needed to know before that would happen.

Day 11 5:30 am

A young man was standing by a Honda Civic in the Velocity Paintball Park's parking lot near Ramona California. As he finished siphoning the remaining gas a faint growl could be heard coming in his direction. The man looked around the car to see two of the undead shambling towards him. Slowly he reached to his back and unsheathed his katana. He waited for the monsters to get closer then when they were only a few steps away the young man by the name of Alex jumped from behind the car and quickly stuck the katana right into the freaks mouth. He then lifted his leg and kicked the second one in the knee breaking it. He pulled out the katana and 'placed' it inside the skull of the walker that had fallen to the ground.

After ensuring that the two were dead he pulled his katana out and wiped the blood off just before sheathing it. He quickly searched the bodies but all that was on them were the tattered clothes and useless ID's. Alex took them anyway in case he encountered anyone who might have known the two. Most likely a pointless act but Alex did it anyway. In a way it helped him keep his humanity. He picked up the two gas cans he'd been working on. One full but the other only had a fourth of what it could hold. Alex walked over to his Toyota Tacoma and placed the containers in the bed of the truck. He tied them down to the other supplies he'd been gathering. He'd been lucky so far that he hasn't had to encounter many raiders so he was well stocked. A few gas cans, a coil of barbed wire, a set of tools, and even a generator. Unfortunately the generator didn't work. Alex didn't know what the issue was, but it looked like some sort of belt was snapped. He couldn't focus on that at the moment though. He would deal with it later.

Alex walked to the front door and hopped in after setting his katana in the passenger seat. Before starting the truck, Alex turned in his seat to check on his brother and sister, Micky and Sadie. Both were sound asleep. Alex had to do his best to take care of them, and he would. In his mind heading as far north as they could get would be the best option. Aiming for Alaska was what he decided on. He knew that the cold would be difficult, but a low population meant the likelihood of running into one of these things would lower significantly. Alex turned back around and decided to close his eyes for a few minutes and then he would hit the road again. However, Alex unintentionally fell asleep.

Flashback to Day 1

Alex along with his siblings, Ollie; Sadie; and Micky, were walking through a hiking trail to see the Cedar Creek Falls. They were in a small group on a hiking tour. "Wow. this place is so beautiful." Came from Sadie and a few others in the hiking group. Indeed it was but little did these few know but within the next few minutes this place would turn into a graveyard. Most people sat at the edge of the water and enjoyed the view, but a few of the people who were around Alex's age decided to climb up the rocks and jump into the water. Alex and his family were watching the waterfall and chatting when one of the guys fell on top of another. The tour guide quickly ran to the limp form to check on him, but quickly noticed his neck had been snapped.

As the guide gave instructions to the people around, the presumed dead's body started jerking around. The majority of the group began gathering around the body while some stayed where they were. Suddenly the body shot up and sunk it's teeth into the neck of the person closest to them. Many of the onlookers gave a loud blood-curdling scream. Ollie ran forward with a few others and knocked the once dead body away from the bite victim. Someone decided to put it in a head lock, but the creature started tearing into the arm holding it.

Something was wrong. Horribly wrong. Alex yelled to Ollie, "Ollie, let's get outta here." The older one turned to his brother and shook his head in agreement. The Hill family along with a few of the others in the group began running back the way they came. As they reached the parking area Alex noticed many more bodies around than they had started with. As Alex and his family were running to their truck, Sadie screamed due to one of the creatures grabbing her. Ollie quickly darted towards the thing and knocked it down he grabbed Sadie and they started to run to the truck. Sadie and Micky quickly got in, but before Alex and Ollie could climb inside the thing grabbed Ollie and bit him on the shoulder.

Present day 8:30 am

Alex jolted awake to a walker hitting the driver side window. He quickly started the truck and drove off. Those moments that the outbreak started were all Alex could see anymore when he closed his eyes. Those memories were why he couldn't sleep, and why he had to keep his family moving. It was on him to protect them. He would do whatever he could to keep them safe.

He drove slowly once he entered the city when in the distance he could hear someone yelling. He decided to check it out in case someone was in trouble. The scream lead him to what seemed to be the high school. As he pulled up to the gate Sadie and Micky started waking up and Alex noticed a guy banging on the front doors to the school. He watched the guy not knowing if he had been seen or not.

Appearance:
5'11" with dirty blond hair and blue/green eyes depending on the lighting. Fairly muscular but rarely show emotion on his face.

Personality: (Introverted/Sensing/Thinking/Perception) To most Alex appears cold and standoffish, but those who know him well realize he is just a quiet guy. He can seem rude but that is only because he is very direct and rarely lets bias change how he deals with things unless he REALLY dislikes someone. He is fiercely loyal and if someone hurts or wrongs someone he cares about he will defend them, but he rarely defends himself. He loves bringing characters to life and enjoys making people happy despite not seeming like it. Ever since the outbreak he has trouble trusting people and it takes a lot for them to earn it. Until they have earned his trust though he won't take his eyes off them. He does however pretend to trust them and he is very convincing.

Occupation before the breakout: College Student

Skills: Good shot. Fairly decent at fighting. Good actor. Great driver. Stealthy. High levels of Perception(except for when it comes to emotions like love or sadness)

Fears/Incompetencies: Large numbers of people. That someone he cares about dies because of him. Will every now and then 'stick his foot in his mouth'.

Equipment: A katana he inherited from his grandfather. A bookbag with some water, food, a change of clothes, an Atlanta Braves Baseball cap, some duct tape, and a zippo lighter. A Toyota Tacoma. A Tanto.

History: Alex is the second oldest of his siblings. When he was younger he connected fairly well with others, but eventually someone really close to him betrayed him. Also almost all of the friend groups he has ever been in tend to have a large falling out leaving him to have to decide which side he would join. He never could choose so he always got left behind. Over the years he closed himself off emotionally to others and rarely opens up anymore. He went to college in California. He and his siblings were at Cedar Creek Falls at the start of the outbreak.

Injuries: Currently has an injured left shoulder via a bullet wound.
