Have some half-dragon/bat, with their usual bat-like wings or a goat with their horns.
Then have both of them misunderstood what the other is, so the angel is some bird person while the opponent is some demon.

The deadline is pretty much only used for when you have or want some semblance of progress other than that single fight. So usually only for a tournament or if you're involved in an overarching 'plot' of some sort. Otherwise, the only limit is your patience.

I'm probably going to mix Bloodborne's Moon Presence and the Nekron's Nightbringer Shard.
Cloak that double as tentacles and the hood is fused to the top of the head, skeletal torso, four skeletal arms underneath the 'cloak', eyes all over but the face (which is either infinite void or a skull like you said), one huge eye on the torso. Can't decide whether it would have legs or not though.

Well, trying to make a char based on 'Grim Reaper is an Eldritch Abomination/Great Elder One.'
Got some base for the powers, but exact appearance eludes me.
