"Whatever you say." She commented to the dating part laughing. Listening to the rest of her sentence, Demetry paused for a moment, biting her tongue and looking up at Roxy. " Being nice get's you no where in this world. " She yawned, and shook her head. "Trust me I have tried countless times and all it did is get me used. Which would you want to be the toy or the user?" Eyeing Roxy up and down, rolling her eyes. She held her wrist with her hand.
"You still have hope for this world, but I lost mine long ago. There is no in between. You are used, the user, or the savior." She looked Roxy up and down. "You are a savior but with every hero their light only lasts so long. Sure I would love to be different, better than human, but as long as we live here, where we have nothing it is not possible." She sighed shrugging. She remembered when she was that naive, but it was over now. "Everyone learns at some point. I'm not saying it's right. I know it's not, but there is no point to change it. "

Harper can be selfish at times or so it seems, but she does care deeply. She is bossy, rude, and don't forget neglectful but it is all a mask she uses to push people away from her because she doesn't want to get hurt. She is curious, and wants to know everything about anything. She listens into drama, and tries to figure people out based on such actions. For the better or worst, she figures out what hurts the most in people and when she is mad she uses it against them. She says they deserve it, though after a few hours she regrets every word said.

Strengths:

• Can take slightly more damage than most because of her dad
• She knows some ways to dodge
• Creative

Weaknesses:

• The walls she puts up
• Trust issues
• Her temper
• Doesn't know any combat other than blocking

Likes:

• Drawing, feels like she can get everything out with it.

Charlotte Gartic -Mother -Dead
History: A great couple once, now shattered apart. Her mother, Charlotte, soon fell ill with a deadly disease. She wanted to live, and her father, Danniel, wanted her to stay alive. They got to various fights, all dwelling on the same subject, while Harper was at the age of five. Her mother wanted to live out the rest of her life, and ignore the sickness she had. Her father wanted to believe she wasn't going to die, she wanted her mother to get some rest, and help herself. He pointed out the fact she had a daughter and such, but Charlotte ignored it.
A few weeks later her mother was forced to follow the instructions her husband had given her,but it was too late. By the time she did this she was already lying on her death bed, besides her was her husband and her daughter. Harper cried on her mothers shoulder, and her mother said her last words. " I love you Harper, the road will be tough but you will survive." Charlotte barely made out the last words. Harper felt her chest stop beating. 'Mom! Mom!" She screamed, but there was nothing. Her father had to pry her away. Nothing was the same after that.
Danniel, after the incident had started to drink. It started small, but he quickly became a heavy drinker, with a bad temper. Harper, looking like a spitting image of her mother, was where it came out. Danniel would scream at her, shouting and crying. He began beating her, and kicking her. In the beginning Harper let it happen, but with every hit it got worst. She began to block and such.
This continued on for between three to two years. It lasted till the first sign of her power came out. She altered her fathers memory of her mother dying into a happy one. A quick and simple change she wasn't aware of, or wouldn't be aware of if it wasn't for a pounding headache and the flash of the memory.
It only made it worst. His anger increased, and the night that she did it she got a hit to a face. A hit that she could not conceal. She tried with makeup, she didn't want her father to get caught with such an awful crime. She still loved him, how he was before. Despite her trials of different makeup nothing worked.
The next say in school was hell. Harper was sent out of the room and out of school immediately. She made some lame excuse but not one teacher bought it. Social Services showed up at her house, her father answering the door. Harper sat in the back round as they demanded to come in.
The Social Service men were anything but friendly. Harper acidentally used her power once again on one of them panicking. The man reacted to memory immediately. He looked at his partner, "Why are we here anyways. " His partner gave him a weird look but just explained, not really knowing what to think of it. Her father ended up behind bars, and she was sent to another family.
After this accident, her powers became more prominent and she became more aware. She began to learn to use them to get what she wanted and out of trouble with them. Her web of lies and minipilation ended, when co-workers of her foster parents began to realize changes in there behaviors.
What Harper didn't realize was that memories can change a person, and when you change a person, people realize.
Her foster mother, hearing rumors of the kids with powers and with what everyone was saying to her since Harper entered her house put the pieces together. She picked her phone up, and told the IANN people in a phone call. In a matter of time they were there, ready to collect Harper.

Demetry took a step back from Roxy. She laughed slightly shaking her head. " Relax. I wasn't actually going to hurt him." She stated, though looking at Roxy she knew that wouldn't cut it. "If I wanted to fight I would of come prepared to fight." She huffed, placing the knife back into the casing the hung on her pants. "You're no fun. I could of got an easy way out of my chores from some idiot." She waves to Isaac. "No offence."
She eyes the Roxy up and down shaking her head. " Do you have a crush on him or something? I mean he is pretty pathetic but just wondering." She shrugged, laughing afterwards. She knew that she wasn't saying the nicest things in the world but she couldn't help it. When you steel a girls bait certain questions need to be asked. "I mean you are pretty cocky about your fighting skills, maybe not so cocky about your dating skills?"

Demetry nodded smirking a bit, knowing exactly how she was going to play this fool. "Yea. That is completely right. She reached down at the side of her pants, near the bottom gripping the wooden handle. " My name is Demetry. She paused for a moment stepping towards Isaac. She kept her eyes on his face and grim smile. Demetry, pulled out her knife. She laughed as she placed the blade between her fingers, running them along it flat side. "And do you know what happens to those who figure out this truth?" Removing her fingers she made a slicing notation at her neck. She pointed the knife at Isaac. "Then of course I could spare you." She paused. " If you do a few things for me."

@KatherinWinter Okay. I love the show, just really bad at keeping up with it. I started on season three, watching from antenia so I obviously didn't get much. I am starting from the beginning now.

I am definitely interested in the idea and the description you have given of the book is amazing and is currently going to be the next book on my list. I do have one question, do the colors of the abilities have to do with the characters past or activities. Basically something in their childhood affect what the ability be, or do they have little to no correlation.

If you have more questions on what I mean by this I can explain my idea for a character in PM's for sure.

In a future society everyone lives in poverty, and there are a select few that are chosen to go to a perfect place. At the age 16 everyone is given an opportunity to change there life and get into the promised land. The catch is that each test more and more people are eliminated, till the end.
