There's a difference between the ability to be social, and the desire to be social. I function perfectly fine going outside and talking to people, but that doesn't mean I *like* doing either.

Pilk seems to be trending, so I tried it. Anyone who tells me this is a good drink is no longer a person I wish to associate with.

Synchro

In scene: Masaru Chinen, Hyousuke Murakana, Emi Fujino & Keitaro Asano

Emi carefully watched the duel between Machi and Kanna from the stairwell up to the main building, keeping her distance so she wouldn't be mingled in with the crowd. Her head was comfortably resting in the palm of her right hand as her eyes scanned the two duelists from afar.

"Leaving me to scout out the competition... I'll get back a you for this, Hyousuke," she mumbled to herself, her glare fixed on the moment Machi looked to be ending the duel. When the smoke cleared and Kanna's monster was still on the field, Emi couldn't help but frown. How did a hothead like Machi ever get to the first place in his dorm?

While Emi was brooding up on her perch, Hyou was busy dragging Masaru all across the island. The white-haired one of the duo casually held his arms behind his back while a whistled tune escaped his lips. The other half of the pair seemed to be getting more irate with his counterpart every passing step. The two of them were walking down the path towards the earth dormitory, the cool shade of the trees tempering the mood just a little.

"Somehow, I feel as if following you around was a bad idea. I'm not here to socialize with the first years, Hyousuke!"
"Don't be so uptight, man! I managed to wrangle us away from those dark dorms well enough. My first guess might've been wrong, but maybe Kei is somewhere around- hey, did you hear something?"

Hyousuke stopped in his tracks, causing Masaru to bump into him and recoil backwards. The synchro dorm's ace covered his nose in mild pain, glaring back at his companion.

"Fngh! Watch where you're-!"
"G-GHUAAA!"

Both of them tensed up at the sound of someone's screams echoing in the forest. They briefly put their differences aside as their eyes met, nodded at one another, then ran to investigate. What they found was both their objective and the worst case scenario, all rolled into one. Keitaro stood there, a full suit of blue Armor monsters equipped onto himself, staring down a badly bruised Keita, the fifth best duelist from the water dorm. Keita's field had a Gagaga Gardna on it as he breathed heavily, a mere 300 lifepoints flickering next to him. Masaru and Hyou quickly motioned their hands in front of their eyes to activate their Duel Tattoos, able to quickly check out Keitaro's 1600 lifepoints.

"Tch...! You're pathetic...! This entire duel you've been doing nothing but hide behind your monsters! It's too late to be sorry or fight back, though. I'm through with this. I activate Fissure from my hand!"

The ground beneath Gagaga Gardna split apart, making the warrior fall in and get destroyed. Keita's field was now wide open, and it didn't look like he had another set card or anything in his hand to protect himself.

"Keitaro! What the heck do you think you're doing?!" Hyousuke yelled from his vantage point while Masaru just sighed and slapped his hand against his head. Keitaro only gave a cursory glance back in the duo's direction and spat towards Hyousuke. That's the only answer he bothered to give before looking back and revving up the gauntlet on his right arm. The display next to it flashed 1000 ATK points.

"Get ready, wimp! I'll use my Burning Knuckle to Direct Attack!"

Keitaro's Overboost and Active Guard both opened up their jet-boosters as the delinquent was launched forward, pulling back his fist only to ram it straight into Keita's gut. Spit followed the already-beaten guy as he was launched back against the tree that was behind him, the shock from the impact rustling it and causing a plethora of leaves to scatter downwards. Keitaro's armor cards vanished off his body while Keita's deck was scattered in front of him, the badly beaten boy being crumpled up against the tree and unable to fight back. Keitaro walked forward and picked up a single card from the pile. He turned it around to show Keita that his Gagaga Cowboy was now in the delinquent's hands. Keitaro chuckled and grinned as he looked down upon his defeated adversary, pompadour casting a dark shadow over the left half of his face.

"You lost, so this is mine now. Got it?"
@Tenma Tendo There's someone contesting the dark slot, but we can wait until both of you get a sheet up and decide on the best one. I'll have to bring this up with sat, but we're not in any rush atm so I don't think he'll mind.

EDIT: did bring it up with sat, he seems to be fine with it
@FoxSoxs Just off your WIP I already want to point out something.

This isn't the IRL game, so you don't need to go off IRL deck standards. Floodgates like the Solemn brigade, mirror force cards or even just Allure of Darkness aren't reccomended. Allure doesn't help you since you can just choose what to draw into anyway, and it's a +0. Try to go for more interesting cards; I recommend gimmicky stuff like Three-Strike-Barrier, Fusion Guard, Defense Draw, Half Unbreak, Power Wall, ...

Considering we're scripting, situational cards often wound up with much more interesting effects to play around with. There's not much point to going overly meta, as you actually pigeonhole yourself into a few select, boring plays. Just look at the completed Machi Vs. Kanna duel for reference; Despite it being Nekroz, Kanna still used a bad card like Sealing Ceremony of Suiton for that dramatic end, and Machi used a card like Double Attack which isn't even that good. Or hell, just the premise: In no sane world should Jurrac give Nekroz that hard of a time.

Also, try to show you run some non-cyberdarks. It'd be pretty silly for the resident dagon-equip deck to not run any dragons, ay?

EDIT: I also kind of, uh, just noticed the space above 'age' was a character name. I think it'd be preferred if you took a bit of a lighter colour that's easier on the eyes, because it's not really readable. The previous guy had the same issue -w-'
I'm always up for yugioh rps. I'd like to play the Earth dorm.

ye, the slot's still open. Give us a dorm in the main thread and we'll see if you're alright.

EDIT: Noticed your profile pic is a trickstar. As long as you're aware Links aren't playable in the RP, you're good to go.
@FoxSoxs I'd give you an answer, but well...

Cosmos summed it up pretty nicely, lol.
BUMPING AGAIN

Alright, for anyone reading in future, let me run you down on what's happening here:

This RP is pretty slow, but not dead. The three players that are around are all still RPing, there's just been a lot of background stuff going on that made us all go pretty slow. Also, having five characters makes things a bit more planned out. The RP didn't progress very far yet, however. We've had some issues with two players dropping us without warning, and while I was willing to take over one slot, the other I was less comfortable with.

We currently still have slots for two players wishing to join in future, which we'd really appreciate! We could use a bit more character variety, as the issues we've had stem from people not willing to post and interact with each other. The two slots that are open are Earth, which has not had an accepted applicant yet and Dark. We're willing to let someone retcon the dark dorm into their own original cast since they haven't done much yet, so don't worry about the fact there's already an accepted sheet! You're always free to just pick up and play those five accepted characters too, of course.

Hopefully someone is willing to join us!
I've been lurking, but maybe I should get a post up?

Then again I kind of... wrote myself out completely, unintentionally. Oops? Though Emi and Ryuuji are still in limbo, so I can do something with them.

Plum hasn't shown up in fucking forever and isn't responding

Dark is up for grabs for those who want to take it over.

I am never, ever trusting the TVTropes crew with anything ever again. 'cept tojin, he's consistent.
Ando Yamagata

Ando was stunned from when Davis nearly headbutted him, absolutely speechless as the boy cussed him out. He was clenching his fist in that moment, only a small provocation away from socking them, but the ultimate conquest's attention was turned to Alice before the situation could escalate. It didn't help that their half-assed boasts amounted to nothing as the three-way dance unfurled between the hacker, assassin and conquest. In the midst of all that chaos, at least one normal person decided to speak to Ando, offering to go to the cabins to cool off

"You know, I'm glad at least one person seems to have their head screwed on the right way over here."

Monokuma addressed the crowd again to announce his own departure, leaving the party with the hint that someone among them organized this entire thing. Ando held his hand to his neck and cracked it, one eye closed in a rather aloof posed.

"Tch. Ridiculous. The only plausible candidate turns out to be nothing more than a clown with a theatrical side. This whole thing's a joke," Ando mumbled in annoyance as he checked his student PDA again. He navigated to the map, scanning the view. The small cluster of 16 rectangular buildings represented by a bed would probably be a safe bet to which way his objective was located. Ando looked up and noticed his immediate view was blocked off by the trees, so he'd have to walk there to find out.

"Cabins, right? I could do with being anywhere other than here," spilled out of the ultimate guitarist's mouth as he lazily turned his head back to Hibiki.

"You better not pull anything funny. I don't intend to play whatever game this bear's set up for us."

After Hibiki had been warned, the duo set off in the direction of the cabins to go check those out.
Taka Tsuin

Taka simply blinked at the entire happening around him. The girl he'd been talking to moments earlier turned out not only to have been lying to his face, but also some kind of crazy lunatic who rattled off death threats like it's nobody's business. Not only that, but she also ran off faster than a panther upon being confronted on her behaviour. The scruffy guy and the white-haired girl didn't look much better either, as the former's grand declarations fell flat and the latter seemed to want someone dead already. The other two people he'd actually spoken to weren't the friendliest type of people either, so Taka took away some very negative impressions from the entire situation.

It wasn't all terrible, though. The stage play between the hacker, assassin and conquest was pretty silly to look at, and it actually took away some of the oppressive atmosphere that had been hanging around in the air. At least, the cross-dresser's nerves had been calmed somewhat.

"...Guess I shouldn't stick around," Taka mumbled to himself.

The boy put one hand in a side pocket of his uniform, looking over the crowd again. The most normal looking people all seemed to be busy with their own thing, aside from the brown-haired, glasses wearing fellow that's distanced himself from the rest of the group. Not that Taka wanted to find out what they were like; he's had enough of randomly being chewed out for today.

(...Those five buildings on the path to the gate bother me. I should go check those.)

After a quick nod to himself, Taka set off towards the talent labs.
Ayu Usui

Ayu was both not paying attention and attentively taking in everything that happened around her. The fact of the matter was that her stream of thought was processing the going-ons surrounding the girl, but the entire event wasn't very interesting. Only the relevant information was parsed through; that being Alice's time limit and Monokuma's Q&A hour. Considering the students were being left to their own devices, Ayu didn't feel much like sticking around. Every single one of the people around here got on her nerves one way in the other, and she'd already found a negative label for each of them. Well, except for Hibiki- he had proven to be pretty alright. Ayu can also gather he's not the type of person to randomly bother her, and that's nice. The more people that leave her alone, the better.

That desire to want to be left alone was exactly why her feet were well on their way of carrying her out of there. She didn't pay much mind to her hairs falling in front of her eyes or her sweater slipping slightly further, because the girl couldn't care to fix it. Her eyes were out of focus as she navigated on auto-pilot, her surroundings becoming a bland and uninteresting blur. She just shuffled into the forest; didn't seem thick enough to stop her. There was, like, a fire at the center? The map at least showed a little flame. Maybe that could keep her warm. Warmth is nice. She also doubted anyone would go there; who would chase a fire? Well, she did, but that wasn't much of an issue. It kept people at bay.

She liked it when people were kept at bay.
