“You have such cool things at your house,” Samuel said as he meandered through the living room. He was looking at his family's old sword bestowed to his great grandfather in honor of his service.
“What that?” Peter just laughs, “It’s nothing special. Great grandfather gave it to his son and his son gave it to his and someday it’s going to go to me by my dad.”
He just shrugs and looks a bit disappointed. Samuel flops onto the couch and grabs some popcorn from the bowl sitting on the coffee table. His curly ginger hair messily falls into his eyes and he sighs. At thirteen the two boys were beginning experience a form of boredness they weren’t entirely sure how to process it. When they were younger they had tree houses as a pirate ship, and sword fights in the backyard. Now they watched movies and played video games.
“When did we get so boring?” Samuel asked.
“Puberty,” Peter shrugged.
“I guess, now all I can think about is how big Jessica’s breast have gotten,” Samuel jokes, Peter makes a noise.
“Gross, don’t be a perv,” Peter scoffs.
Samuel gives an airy laugh as the door opens. Both of the boys turn around to see Peter’s eldest brother walks past them. Both of the boys give each other a funny look. Samuel turns to Peter, he whispers, “Did he come home last night?”
Peter, “No.”
“Do you think he’s doing something he shouldn’t?” Samuel ask.
“Not sure,” Peter shrugs.
Peter frowns and just watches as Killian waves a hello lazily towards him before disappearing upstairs into his bedroom. Both boys look at each other in wonderment. While the fantastic dreams of yesteryear have disappeared, the suspicious behavior Killian had presented made an old childish wonder crawl back up. Bubbling inside of them with curiosity.
They were like detectives trying to work out where Killian may be going. They felt like kids again. It took away the samey boringness of an ordinary life ’and turned it upside down. Upside down with no conclusions though. Like flipping over your backpack to find the homework you swore you did and it never coming out.

Killian Grant, 19, was found dead today in a parking lot of the local corner store. No witnesses to the heinous crime, the young man was found soaked in his own blood and appeared to have bled out. The devastated family speak of Killian drifting away from the family, but said nothing further to our reporters. Chief Deputy says he will find the one responsible for this heinous crime.
Professor Reginald found dead in alleyway today. The Knight Captain believes it the work of an assassin. Why Professor Reginald, teacher at Belles Collines’ cathedral was assassinated has many scratching for answers. The long lived man at fifty was fondly admired by his students. His teachings were respectful to God and many of his colleagues said he was a very faithful man. The Knight Captain has opened his murder case in order to find said assassin.
A death in 2014, is tied to a death in 1714. A Professor at the Belles Collines’ church has been assassinated. On the same day, in a different time, a boy Killian Grant has been found dead. Murder or assassinated by an organization looking for a way into 2014, the death of both was a message. But to whom? Why no other than the Janus Vigil.
How do these things correlate? One’s a death in 2014 and another three hundred years ago. Simple really, Killian is Professor Reginald. And if you’re saying one is a 19 year old boy and the other a 50 year old professor in 1714 then we’ll just have to further explain.
Our families all have a history. And our bloodline goes back many many years, some more than others. The family heirlooms we keep in our houses may actually be a key to another dimension or another timeline. In this case You Are the Janus Vigil.
This RP is about individuals who take on their past family lives in order to solve the murder of their allies. And to protect the keys from getting out of the wrong hands. These heirlooms are an object of a much older magic that spans centuries ago. The Janus Vigil was said to form by the King in 1300 when magic was beginning to die from the land.
They are the guardians of the past and the future. But they are very special people who hold a residual energy that no longer exist in either of their times.
This RP takes place in both 2014 as the Modern Ancestors of these Janus Vigil individuals with their family heirlooms as keys to 1714. And will take place in 1714 as they take on or lives inside the conscious of their ancestors of the Janus Vigil.

And I premade the battlmages before I started the RP, they are roughly half and half with gender, it just so happens that we have a LOT of guys and they are picking colours that have girls :)
Pink, red, purple, are girl colors
blue, orange, green, are often boy colors.
It's just weird. :P

Two things;
1) I explained in his IC post that Yue kept the ring in his pocket and hasn't worn it yet. Unless the ring just attaches itself to the finger and they cannot take it off. He wouldn't be allowed to wear a ring in his current family circumstance. I mean he may have taken it out here and there to inspect it and that's how the teacher noticed it. But elsewise, unless the ring attaches once they try it on. Yue hasn't worn it yet.
The second thing take it more tongue and cheek;
Do you have an aversion of giving male battlemages? That's another Male character with a Female Battlemage. :P
