If you're not trying to romance the Pokemon, what's the fucking point?

Can't help but read 'woah' as a regular 'wuh', but 'whoa' as a deep, masculine 'HOO-AH!'

That's patently untrue. I planted some potassium the other day, and no matter how much I watered it, all I got was explosions.

According to the IRC, I'm a low-grade troll. They're probably not wrong.

Current plans for unspecified time frame that should end up being really soon

-do shit in space (section done)
-hide Heartworm from Jvan (done)
-email Astarte (halfway done)
-catch up with diaphane's kids (should be a short section in the context of the space shit, already planned it all)
-put things in the caliginous mangrove (planned but not started)
-give agriculture to the urtelem (planned, still has plot holes)
-deal with urtelem/sculptor cultural norms about zombification (still gotta plan that out)
-make creation sheets for all that shit (not even gonna try that yet)
-introduce a bit of culture-related tech (lol nope)

Dropping this here to remind me to get in gear instead of dicking around with ancient Linux games from my childhood.
Did

Did Basheer and Murmur just have a rap battle?
Oh yeah, one in one hundred...hmm. That'll be pretty widespread.

It'll be more of a problem once communities grow larger. At the moment I think we still have nomadic groups and foraging villages, which won't have a particularly high population.

If each community has, say, 100 adults, which I'm guessing is fairly sizeable before agriculture hits the market, then each community will probably only see one adult zombie every generation. If these poor kids have generations only about 20 years apart each, then that's maybe a zombie every twenty years.

Compare to a bronze-age city with 500,000 people and the same birth- and deathrate, which makes about 250 zombies a year, or about one every weekday. Far, far more if plague comes to town.

Also, fun idea: Because the death rate for children tends to be MUCH higher than that of adults, most of our undead will be young children and infants, which their parents and family would be forced to destroy.

E: Another bonus! We might have a bit of culture going on here as sentient species tend towards burning the bodies of their dead to prevent reanimation instead of burying them where they could, with time, dig themselves up again.

That'll be fun to go into. I feel like I might do something regarding that soon enough. Might round up the corpse issue of Grotbrawl at the same time.

Or we will just throw him at the core of Jvan and watch some metaphysical nonconsensual sex take place.

In a bizarrely unexpected move, exposure to Thulemiz will actually turn Jvan into a spindly spider-legged goblin newt with great, blind white eyes, who waits in the eternal caverns for the cycles of the world to pass him by.

Fuck man now I'm nostalgic for Achozaal.

I don't know jack squat about music but this is neat.

A steak pun is a rare medium well done.
You have piqued my curiosity.
@Antarctic Termite, we have another fanfic for you to write...

*rolls up sleeves*

Well, shit.

I am so looking forward to getting into the game. >_<

You can write up a little side-story or teaser any time you like, or introduce a mortal character. We're happy to see what you do.

One thing I really think you would like to give a chance is the Fallen London / Sunless Sea games. Especially Fallen London, which starts tame, but over time gets more and more wicked.

(jitters in British)

I'll probably give it a looking-over when the holidays roll around in a week's time.
Just a note for anyone who wants to read something while waiting on posts and such!

If you like science horror and weird fiction, there's nothing I can think of right now that's given me more cause to look over my shoulder than the Interface Series. Think Jvan, but actually spooky, among many many other things. Its descriptions are acutely human and all the more chilling for it.
Yep, right up there with my jar of cis tears.
