“So you’re saying, neither you nor anybody else here knows where we are?” Alice asked, letting her arms fall in exasperation.

She groaned, looking back to the other people present, “Well, that sucks.” Mentally chiding herself as she realized just how much of an ass she must have seemed, not that she harbored any deep philosophical remorse or anything.

So nobody knew where they were, and nobody knew anybody else; and by the looks of things there was quite the diverse gaggle of people around her. Just what had happened?

She looked to the man in the suit, eyeing him appraisingly. He didn't seem as though he was about to suddenly go on a murderous rampage and start killing people willy-nilly, which was comforting. Though the fact that he was dressed in an expensive suit threw her off, as did the dress Lily was wearing. It made sense- relatively speaking, considering they were all in a random forest with no food- for her to have the jacket she fell asleep in (in a forest), but the expensive suit? Light summer dress?

Alice had no real inkling of what might be “normal”, but even she could tell that most people wouldn't sleep in a suit, or nice clothes in general. Of course, most people wouldn't sleep in a jacket that weighed in excess of ten pounds even without filled pockets, so perhaps she was being the tiniest bit hypocritical.

Faking a cough into the back of her hand as the silence stretched on, she turned back to Lily, putting her left hand up in a halfhearted peace gesture, “Sorry, by the way.” She rasped- coughing for real this time as the mutilated tissue in her throat rebelled like it often did. She doubled over in a hacking, painful cough, bracing against a nearby boulder to steady herself, already raw throat sending out fresh waves of pain.

“Sorry about that, too, you wouldn’t believe how many people thought I was a smoker or something.” She choked out as soon as the coughing had subsided, her voice considerably raspier and more painful sounding, wiping a few involuntary tears from her eyes with her arm. “I can talk later if you do so desire, but do any of you know where the hell I could get some water? It’s killing me here.” She asked, glancing around for a convenient river or other reasonably safe water source.

One eyebrow rose rapidly as a thought struck her at the last moment, and she turned back around “You were going to ask my name, right? I’m Alice, can’t say whether it’ll be a pleasure to meet you or not, sorry.” She hastily said, coughing slightly as her throat protested the far-in-excess-of-normal amount of talking she was doing.

Old Hoof is nothing compared to what's going to happen to Silver Scalpel if she finds out that what Meelo told her is true. So far, she's pissed off beyond (mortal) comprehension, but she's still lucid/clever enough to not rush in and just kill him. She's a Guardian of ponykind, and wants information first. If, however, she finds out that he actually is trying to achieve fake ascendency then she'll want to mete out Divine Punishment and, well,

Long story short: Don't make the powerful cosmic beings angry with you.
And posted! Finally!

And I hope you don't mind my pegasi at Ponyville, Bright_Ops, I felt the need to branch out a bit beyond one location.

And Thea's divine anger hath been roused once more.

Damn, what is with these ponies and pissing her off?
Summer Winds shifted somewhat uncomfortably as the alicorn tidied her armor. It wasn’t that she feared incineration or divine punishment- enough alicorn lead drinking contests had dispelled that notion. But she couldn’t help being thrown off by Sweeper’s… eccentricity. It wasn’t the informality or lack of some divine air that confused her, Armifera- or whatever name she went by in other cultures- was certainly informal as well, but she didn’t have the same bubbly air about her.

When speaking to Armifera, one was still distinctly aware that she was a being capable of extreme destruction, an impression the alicorn herself did nothing to dissuade. Sweeper though… not so much. Summer could tell the alicorn had power in some way, shape, or form, but she lacked the aura of “I can flatten a village if I need to” that Summer had come to expect was a standard alicorn thing.

Apparently not.

“It’s uh… really something?” Summer offered lamely, before coughing into the back of her hoof. “Yeah it’s… how is hair a spoil of war?!” she blurted.

Somewhere near Ponyville

Two pegasi flew through the air, their armor and the direction they came from clearly marking them as well trained, disciplined Stormwing soldiers. Or... at least well trained.

“Why are we even flying out here? It’s not like anything will have changed since the last patrol! Ponyville’s just a mosquito breeding ground now, why do we have to keep flying patrols to-” the cool blue stallion cut off his speech as he swerved to dodge a ball of ice thrown his way.

“Comet Trail, shut up, you’ll be doing the world a big favor.” The crimson maned, dark gray mare flying near him seethed, shaking her hooves of the moisture from compressing the cloud she’d snagged into a snowball to throw at her griping companion. “At least flying border patrol you didn’t have to deal with Trottingham.” The mare shuddered at the thought of something that could wound an alicorn, she’d seen the wounds on the alicorn who’d set up camp in Stormwing.

Of course, the alicorn- Armifera, the mare remembered- had nonetheless managed to drink a whole tavern under the table, so it wasn’t as though she’d been seriously injured.

“Steel, coming up on Ponyville, prepare for the same exact thing. It might knock your horseshoes off.” Comet Trail snarked, taking a moment to roll his eyes.

Steel Storm huffed, keeping her eyes on the rapidly approaching septic swamp that was Ponyville. It always saddened her to see it, associating the toxic morass with pictures she’d seen of a bright and happy town before the war threw her head for a loop, or three.

She scanned the ground below, eyeing it for anything suspicious, though it all seemed to be the sa-

“Comet Trail, hide!” She hissed at her partner, frantically searching for somewhere to hide herself. Her gaze alighted on several trees the way they had come, well back from the water, and she bolted for them.

Comet Trail looked around bemusedly, “What’s her problem…?” He muttered. Glancing down to the lake, the large stallion soon saw the alicorn standing in on the water, and gulped. He clumsily dashed for several boulders by the water, peeking over them at the alicorn on the water.
Ignore this, accidental double post. Sorry.

Eldritch, Frenetic, Monochromatic... Are you three waiting for the others to post? Just asking 'cause you're all free to go first if you want, seeing as we're all in the same little "convo". Doesn't matter who goes first.

Actually I was writing up a thing over on In Nomine. I was planning going to grab a bite to eat, look over a bit of IRL stuff, and get to work over here. The lack of new content's been bugging me.

Hey guys. I'm really sorry for the disappearance. Moved to a new city and well things got kinda hectic. New job and new apartment all the while had to wait forever for the new internet hookup. Anyway it came out of nowhere quite literally so sorry for no heads up. Though in all fairness I didn't know it would take them WEEKS to hook up the internet. Bloody wankers. Any way so if it isn't' too much trouble I would still like to be part of this.

Ooh, I know what that's like. It's good to see you back though~

I don't quite understand why Torrential is pissed off, he hasn't been on earth for thousands of years, why the hell should he give a shit about some guided ecosystem change? Hell why care at all about Ponyville in the first place?

That's what I was wondering.
