So Fiddlesticks thought Toony was a maid? Well, she did have the hips for it, and a dress, though none of that stupid frilly stuff or an apron of any kind. "You don't remember my name? Its Toony! I introduced myself at the meet and greet before this whole thing ya know... And I'm here for security, not cleanup duty!" placing a hand on her hips in a sassy pose. "And what part of me being a lady gave it away? The bust? the hips? The fact I call myself a lady?" she said, gesturing at herself as she talked before laughing a bit. Toony wondered if Fiddlesticks was getting into robophillia, the icecream coming in probably not helping matters. Those bees looked really useful though, Toony wouldn't dare spread her nanobots out as thin as Will does his bees, she wasn't made for it.
When the call for the FTL jump came over the speakers, Toony sighed. She wasn't too found of FTL jumps and made her way over to a wall to hold herself in place, throwing a carbon spoon over at Fiddlesticks when he requested it. she always kept a couple kilos of carbon on her at all times. "So what was going on here anyway? Trying to date this little robot? Heard something about that on my way here."
@Hylozoist Oh I remember that pilot. I can see why it never got funded. that looks expensive.
Also if you like tanks. here in the US, its legal to own and drive a tank down the road. Sure you need to disable all the weapons and the main cannon and change the treads to rubber treads, and I think need a trucker license, but you can totally do it.
Right, I've deleted my post, and am taking @TwelveOf8's advice. I don't mind discussing politics, but this isn't the right place for it. Sorry!
Fair enough, you can go look at that cartoon I found. I got a feeling they're trying a rick and morty kinda thing, but a lot less surreal and a bit more episodic than a full arc sorta thing.
I didn't know it was an adult cartoon til the end of the pilot. Most of that stuff was G rated material back in the 90s...
Alright guys, let's keep it clean here ok. No more polarising discussions alright? That goes for you two @Hylozoist@Archmage MC. Let's just all agree that the world is crazy and pointless and that we're all just doing the best we can.
Hate to have to be that guy but someone has to.
Here's a new topic. I think final fantasy 15 is fun.
P much. Just gotta wait for our robot overlords to take over and all problems will be fixed. xD
I already edited in something about the mario universe I found neat. Rosalina being taller than 2 meters is awesome, and Mario being barely taller than a meter is... odd to look at xD.
BTW, toony is now in that dating discussion with Fiddlesticks. I wanted to work a better ennuendo into my post, but I couldnt' get it to work right xD.
I jsut found a new cartoon that looks to show some promise! Its called Super Science Friends! Take a look evreyone, it looks right up @Hylozoist's alley. I know I was laughing pretty hard throught the pilot. It is a semi adult cartoon though.
Toony's face visibly sank a bit as Vanessa dismissed her probing and just sat there, constantly shifting her legs and posture. Wherever she was from must've beaten all the fun out of her, something that really needed to be rectified. But that time wasn't now, as Toony was sorta getting a bit bored. It was obvious that she was a lot more orderly than Toony though, which anyone would think is kinda weird, considering Toony was an AI technically.
"Well fine. If you don't wanna have a nice chat, I'll go find someone who does." Toony said, hopping onto her feet and walking out to find someone else. She wasn't sure if she wanted to see what was on the bridge, or mess with Fiddlesticks. She heard voices coming from both sides, and it was weird for Fiddlesticks to be talking to himself. She decided to make her way over there. When she approached the room, she could hear Fiddlesticks mumbling something about dating, then a more robotic voice asking for him to pose as something for its... date?
Popping her head into the room, a mischievous look on her face, toony said to the pair. "So whats going on here? Are you flirting with the vacuum there Fiddlesticks? It is really cute."
Sorry about the lack of posts on my front over the weekend; Saturday and Sunday seems to conspire to make sure I don't get much time in front of a computer. However, I've got some spare time this morning to do things, and part of my plan for this morning involves "catch up on what I've missed, post things and try to resist the urge to get back into bed and go 'eeee, warm'".
<Snipped quote by Archmage MC>
Brexit is still happening, but the negotiation hasn't formally started yet between our government and the EU. At some point, our Prime Minister is going to trigger Article 50, where she'll go "so, hey, uh, we're leaving", and then there's up to two years of negotiations, and then we see what happens. It's all a bit of a mess, because our Tory government didn't really plan ahead for the vote to leave, there's been some legal challenges about whether parliament should get to discuss and vote on any deals made, and so on. Anyway, the date for the negotiations to start is probably going to be towards the end of March. It will likely be not a very pretty negotiation.
As for why we attempted it, and why it happened, it's hard for me not to be really biased, and I'd urge you to go and read up on reasons why people voted to leave to get a more rounded idea. I live in London, and like most of the people in London, I voted to remain (Boo! Hiss!). It's not so much a failure of the liberals - consider that the official stance of our incumbent right-wing Conservative government was to stay within the EU, and I doubt anybody would consider them "liberal" in any sense! - but rather a combination of economic inequality across the country, our slightly strange relationship between the media and politicians, and a general sense of people's distrust of politicians and politics.
It's a difficult thing to write about fairly, really, because I'm sad about how the whole campaign was run. The "remain" people didn't make a good case for why we should stay within the EU, likely because the cases for why we should remain didn't fit particularly well into good sound-bites, and the European Union had always been treated as something like a scapegoat by our tabloid newspapers, who'd basically blame everything on the EU. The "leave" camp made ridiculous promises that they couldn't keep, and after the referendum they all pointed the finger at one another for saying these things. I voted to remain mostly because there was no coherent plan for what leaving would actually get us, and the way in which the leave campaigners generally ended up hiding behind patriotism and anti-immigration didn't make me feel particularly confident.
Then comes the problem after the referendum; there was no really clear case for why we should leave, promises made about what we could get should we leave turned out to be not worth the bus they were painted on and our government was quite clearly unprepared for it. During the campaign, there was a rather unpleasant anti-immigrant aspect to the whole affair (see: Nigel Farage's Breaking Point poster, the assassination of MP Jo Cox by a neo-Nazi) that wasn't seriously tackled by the Remain campaign. Presumably they were concerned that they'd be told off for saying that everyone who wanted to leave was a racist who hated immigrants (clearly this isn't the case), but the Leave camp didn't do a particularly good job of distancing themselves from those people, and the Remain camp didn't do a particularly good job of holding them to account about it. Everyone focused on other subjects; sovereignty, trade, jobs, etc. etc. Nearly everyone seemed to find discussions about immigration distasteful.
Move forward to now, and the most important thing for our Prime Minister isn't sovereignty or jobs or access to the EU market for trade, but rather controlling our borders. Despite the fact that there were clearly other reasons for why people would vote to the European Union beyond "we've got to keep the immigrants", keeping out the immigrants has become the highest priority. We were constantly told that this wasn't really a referendum on whether we should let people from Eastern Europe live in the United Kingdom, and then after the referendum, the people in charge of deciding what the most important things are in the negotiations sat down and went "okay, this was clearly about not letting people from Eastern Europe into the country".
So, anyway, it's going to happen. Article 50 will probably be triggered towards the end of March, I'd guess. There's two years of negotiation time at most, and then the United Kingdom is out of the European Union.
Yep, sounds like Brexit happened due to liberals screwing up the EU like they're trying to do with the US. My theory on why its happening is because, doe to lots of regressive left wing liberal thinking on taking in all those refugees from countries that msot of the world is at war with due to terrorist organizations like ISIS.
The problem wasn't taking in the immigrants. The problem was taking them in, WITHOUT checking their past history or background and THEN, due to liberal 'your a racist' thinking, Not keeping tabs on what could possibly be an ISIS spy since doing that would label you a racist, and letting said immigrants get away with things citizens couldn't get away with. Thus ISIS was free to insert spys into the refugee camps, have those spies immigrate into the EU, and bam, you have all those bombings because terrorist organizations have a free in due to abusing how naive most liberals are.
The people in the UK saw this, and said "Nope, we don't want that in our backyard" and voted to leave. Trump is on the same page, but since here in the US the millennial generation (Which I'm a part of, I think?) who grew up with Clinton and a bunch of liberal presidents (Obama being the WORST of the bunch, more or less pushing the above problem in the US and outsourcing a lot of US jobs in a time where the millennials were impressionable teenagers) And you have this huge mess of an argument over Trump over here in the US.
Heck, Trump is actually being pretty decent, if a bit rowdy. a 3 month immigration ban from ISIS and other terrorist controlled countries that we're at WAR with so the government can sort out who is a spy and who is legit. Yet the liberals who weren't told to think logically that were raised since Clinton, can't see something like that. Its as if they've never seen a war veteran or someone who came back from Desert Storm who was in a wheelchair or had PTSD or brain damage.
But yeah, the past week or so of looking into politics has me really irked and the problem stems from liberals calling having a huge voice now and calling everyone racist, when people just wanna make sure that we only take in people who actually need the help and not spies. But I'm sure thats why Brexit is happening. Shame the economy has to suffer so badly for it, but thats probably what the terrorist organizations are trying to do and they have everyone in a lose lose situation due to all the problems I've stated. >.<
Could get into how a lot of the regressive left liberals who have a loud voice are more racist than any extreme right wing person which there are very few of nowadays if any, but thats a whole different topic altogether >.<
Man this year is shaping up to look rough. But if something good happens, things might settle down. Always nice to talk politics with someone who knows whats going on :D. Sorry about being super jaded.
Oh, something weird I learned. Did you see Mario Odyssey? They put Mario in real life NYC/London (Not sure which), and Mario comes up to people's belly buttons. xD And Bowser looks like hes going to throw a broadway play. It looks really neat.
Also speaking of weird height differences in Mario land. Rosalina is like 7"9. shes taller than Waluigi. Thats awesome.
@Archmage MC okay? Umm... Slightly concerned about that part... But okay
Yeah, Its a trend with female characters in general I notice with google images. You wont see anything over PG13 usually at worst though xD. Steven Universe isn't immune to this either, but I see a lot less for that one the times I was looking for a gem than say, a video game character oddly enough.
Take a look at them. I don't think they have any DBXV pictures, but you can google those. (with safe search on probably, might get a lot of lewds of Team Four Star's majin female character by accident)
@Hylozoist Hey, you like in London. Question, whatever happened to Brexit? And why did you guys attempt it anyway? Was it because of the liberals being super stupid?
