Interesting how the "Contractor" wants the magical girls to work together instead of not caring/encouraging discord like Kyubey did in PMMM.
Elise held her sword with both hands and her eyes locked on the younger-looking girl, who turned out to be a lot more patient than she assumed. It caught her off-guard a bit. Then she started using her magic, and Elise realized she could actually kick her ass right then and there if she wanted to since there was a lot of material for the girl to use on her, but chose not to. This girl wasn't just talking for show, she meant what she said. She was confident, and Elise respected confidence like that.

She made her sword disappear. She decided to go along with her, not because she was afraid of the girl, but because she was honestly intrigued at the chance of meeting other magical girls she could pick a fight with. Maybe one them will.

"Alright Rea, you got some stones. I like that. I'll take you up on your offer; might as well check out the competition in a single trip. I'm Elise."
This is brewing up into something alright.
Yeesh, is this a competition to see how much worse can Lorenzo go?

BTW, what's the source on Lorenzo's pic?
"R-Roger. Congratulations on the promotion," Elora said in a hurried tone, and then left the room. It was great that Sigma took the situation under control, and in such a cool way too. She was inspiring, Elora thought to herself as she went through the corridors in a brisk pace.
On her way she passed by Serah, who seemed to have a break down; she must have heard the gunshots. Elora wanted to stay with her, but she had Utano to find, and she wouldn't let Sigma down. Instead, she continued running, but shouted behind her: "Ian's still alive. They're taking him to the med bay." She was blissfully ignorant of the horrors he was about to go through.

Her intuition told her to go to the women's restroom, and there she found Utano. She approached her, and attempted to comfort her, though she didn't really know how.

"Umm, Utano? Hey, It's okay, Ian's going to survive. He won't die. They're taking him to the med bay as we're speaking. Sigma's making sure of it, and I completely trust in her." She paused for a moment, and took a look at herself in the mirror. "I'm also scared, I really am, but running away never helped me. It only made things worse. Trust me, I've done that a lot." She made as much of a smile as she could after having seen someone shot right in front of her. She hoped she succeeded in calming her down, even if a little bit.
Raindrops. The tears of the fallen. Elise's thoughts ran across the dark cityscape as she strolled through a plaza. She was just finished cutting one of the "primordials" The furry thing mentioned. They were a good challenge to her, and had plenty of blood to reap. They would distract her from pursuing her goal, but she wanted to have a bit of fun every now and then. There wasn't a better way to pass the time to her.

This city reeked. It was full of weaklings who either begged in the streets or used guns like cowards to steal from others. She's been here for a couple of weeks, and already she's seen plenty of things. She was sickened by it all. But there was something to Miso City that she couldn't help but feel attracted to. Maybe it was the sense of danger lurking around every corner, maybe it was the skyscrapers she could climb to the top and then jump off of, but nonetheless she would stay here until there wasn't anything left to fight.

While she was walking with her sword slung over her shoulder she heard someone talk to her. That was unexpected, since normal people shouldn't have even realized that she was there. She glanced over at where she heard the voice coming from, and on top of the light pole was another magical girl, just like her.

Standing on top of a light pole, Rose called down to the girl, "Good evening, miss. I must regretfully inform you that you are hunting on my turf. An insult that can easily be overlooked if you agree to join forces with my group. Less danger hunting Primals, and evenly split rewards. Plus friends if your into that. What do you say?" Rose made no threatening action. Her two swords were still on her hips and she gave no indication on her powers.

Elise lifted her sword from her shoulder with unnatural ease, and planted it on the ground. She placed her hand over it.
"First of all, I hunt wherever there are these 'primies', and I don't care if it's your turf or not. Second, I work alone. I don't split rewards with weaklings. They belong to those who earned them. And third, your dress is ugly."

Elise smiled smugly as she lifted her sword, prepared for any attacks that would be launched her way. And she believed she would attack; girls easily lost their temper when their attires were critiqued in any way in Elise's mind. Elise wanted to fight, but she didn't want to charge first; she had a better chance of winning when she checked her opponent's moves before countering.

So I woke up, and lo and behold, it SOMEHOW turned worse. Geezer be bustin' kneecaps now. Goddamn this guy. I thought he was gonna be the quirky, comedically pervy professor guy you would see in a mecha shounen or something, but I forgot this is based on EVA. Anyway, thanks for the explanation post, Gnar.
Elora was a bit startled when Sigma tapped her shoulder during the briefing, but after she turned her head and saw it was her who did it Elora calmed down. Her presence helped soothe her emotions during Lorenzo's talk, and she was glad she didn't distance herself to keep a public image of a stoic soldier or anything. Antwon talked back to Lorenzo like she expected of the rude boy, and Elora recoiled a bit at how strongly the professor reacted to it. She was worried that he would actually break his shoulder, but little did the shy girl know that the worst was yet to come.

Then Lorenzo said something confusing, and Elora had trouble grasping what he said. They failed the moment they started fighting? Did I misunderstand what the mission objectives were? He even warned against forming teams-
The realization hit her, and something started growing inside of her, an emotion she hasn't felt in a long time. It caused her heart rate to accelerate, and breathing to turn faster. Elora wondered if it was fear, but no; fear would make her legs shake, but this caused her legs to stand even firmer. And then she understood: she was angry. She was angry at the professor ordering them to fight each other, and then scold them for doing like he said. If there was some kind of lesson to be learned here Elora didn't learn it, and could only think of the suffering she went through in vain.

Her anger however soon subsided when Lorenzo promoted Sigma to squad leader, and Elora calmed down. She wanted to congratulate her as soon as the briefing ended and took a few steps to follow after her, but before they left the room Ian spoke. There wasn't anything inherently wrong with what he said, at least that's how Elora thought, so it came all the more shocking when Lorenzo pulled out a gun and shot Ian down, causing her to scream: "Ian!"
Any lingering anger Elora had was swept away in that moment, replaced by dread. She couldn't do anything but stare in horror as the bloodied boy was lying on the floor, Iskander using some kind of first-aid technique to help him. Utano took it even worse than she did, and ran away. She heard her scream somewhere, and felt pity towards her, not wanting her to go through this kind of stuff since she knew how badly she would take it. Elora wondered how she could take this so well herself, and didn't run away like she did. Maybe she was already getting desensitized to the senseless violence? That thought scared her a little bit.

While Ian was prepared to be taken to the med bay, Antwon passed by her, gave her a couple of pats, and said he was impressed by her. She was honestly happy about the positive reaction, and how it came from the most unlikely source considering how he treated her when they first met. She wasn't a burden, she was a part of the team like everybody else. She could yet be friends with everybody, even him...one of these days, she added as a mental note. She decided that once she saw Ian safely escorted to the med bay she would change her clothes, meet up with Serah and Sigma, and congratulate her for her promotion.
Goddamn he's even got purple hair, I've never been this angry at an RPNPC before, it's amazing.

EDIT: I'm honestly now thinking how OOC it would be for Elora to blow up like I did. It's really tempting to do.

I'm going to post in the morning, gotta cool off before I do anything I'd regret.
Wow, Antwon really pissed the geezer off.

EDIT: Wow, he first chewed Utano out for not fighting, and then his reason for everyone failing is because they fought? Goddamn that pisses me off, what a hypocritical piece of shit.

As a sidenote, grats to @AtomicNut for getting SL.
