Berry stumbled through and out the other side of the silver curtains of the portal with a disorientating twist in her stomach and a ring in her ears. At any other time, Berry would probably have complained about it and how they really should try to make it more accommodating for the older generation. However, considering she had just spent goodness knows how long running from The Grit coupled with the sky splitting in two and her friends turned to stone, Berry was just glad to still be alive to feel somewhat uncomfortable.
“Oh good gracious me.” She murmured and clutched her chest feeling her heart beat frantically.

Her gaze wandered around taking everything in around her from the stone walls, to the strangers she had nearly walked into, to the robots guarding The Queen. Berry’s eyes widened to the size of saucers. It was The Queen. The Actual Queen!

“The Spire?” She breathed in awe and looked above. Stunned by the idea that directly above them sat hundreds of tons of brick and metal. “Oh good gracious me.”

Feeling utter terror rise once again in her throat Berry took a deep breath and pushed it back down. She hadn’t become a successful performer by letting fear and nerves get the best of her, and she wasn’t about to start now. As they say: The Show Must Go On.

“Your Majesty.” She stepped forward, holding her chin up high and hands held neatly by her hips. “I do apologise for how rude this may sound but I must ask; Do you have any idea what is happening?”

Whilst she asked she kept an ear out for any other movement from the portal behind her, hoping the others she had travelled with had survived their journey to where one of the robots had said there were weapons. She kept waiting. Her stomach squirmed with worry.

NAME: Beatrice “Berry” Bugh

ABSTRACT: Your dear old gran

DETAIL: Berry used to be a young traipse artist for Mungo’s ‘Travelling’ Circus and during the height of her fame people would say there wasn’t a street in the upper districts that Berry hadn’t walked over. In fact, during the current Queen’s Coronation she had been asked to perform, and had astounded the crowds below traversing from the highest spire of the Queens Spire to one of the Academy’s, without a safety net or lines in place.
But of course, as with everything, Berry got old. Her joints didn’t move quite as smoothly as they used to and the old wounds from several nasty falls over her career began to play up and he was reluctantly forced to retire.
Since then she’s led a somewhat less-than-exciting life living in a small apartment in the lower residential area over a small shop. While Berry has tried her best not to become the typical ‘old woman who’s not quite all there’ quite frankly she does have some difficulty operating some of this new-fangled technology.

APPEARANCE: A dear little thing who is surprisingly a lot quicker than she looks. Berry likes to keep her hair tied up in a neat little bun atop her head and maybe a small bit of blusher on her cheeks to help bring out her green eyes on her days out. Other than that she dresses plain and simple settling more for comfort than looks, with a warm cardigan and tasteful flats.

MAGICAL INVENTORY:
She knows a sigil that can be used on doors to keep them from opening, unless the door itself is broken of course.
Another is embroidered onto an old piece of leather, back from her days performing, that sticks to wherever its applied to on the body and reduces any swelling and pain in the area.

NORMAL THINGS:
Keys, money, cards, phone, and other such things in her stylish handbag

“merci beaucoup.” Charles nodded politely and sorted the information away. “Bien que j’aimerais travailler avec Vatta, s’ils acceptent, car je pense que j’ai pu trouver quelques informations.” He paused and held up a finger. “Pardon me, I was speaking French for a second there.” He chuckled before starting again. “I was thinking I could work with Vata, whenever it is we get a free moment.”

He followed to where Rosalind had indicated to the man look slightly uncomfortable around the giant rock monster. No. Gargoyle, like the ones on old churches and buildings of grand design from around the 12th century. A small part of Charles mind chuckled at the thought of this gargoyle having a channel their spine for water to come shooting out their mouth if it were to rain.

“Name’s Charles, I work for TRIDENT as an information gatherer.” He reached out across the table to shake Vatas hand “So what I was thinking was if the two of us worked together at somepoint; You doing the deciphering and I getting a hold of anything we need to fill in the blanks, hopefully we might be able to turn up something of use. Sound good?”

although tbh the thought of playing as a Grit does interest me, may-haps if the opportunity comes up later in the story... :3
