The night had been going far better than Liam expected that it would. So far, no one had tried to drive him out of the building with pitch forks or torches. Things were turning up for the better as he managed to keep relatively calm and not summon any beasts from the lowest hell. Things could be so much worse for Liam. He could have made a fool of himself. Then up strode Bruce Wayne. Things could turn on the head of pin right now and it all depended on which one of Liam "Masks" he was going to wear. There were so many different faces that he needed to wear at one time. For now he had to be Gotham's prodigal son or Lazarus returned from the the pit. Either way, he had to hide who he truly was and that bothered him. Still this was Bruce Wayne.
" Oh, Mister Wayne! It is just wonderful to be back. If you have time I would like to talk..." He said as the lights went out and all hell broke loose. Liam didn't look for too long as suddenly the Batman showed up in the same room as Bruce Wayne. All of his theroies about the true identity of the Batman went out the door. He was about to do something when the shots started. Things were just going to hell. Liam ran out the door towards the bathroom pulling his mask out of the pocket of his suit. To most people it looked like an old dish rag but it was so much more. Liam placed the mask on his face as he moved his hands to start the spell. If anyone say it, his hands would like insane hand movements. As he did that, Liam started to mumble in Latin.
"Et abscondam faciem meam ad peto obumbratio." He said as the mask shimmered and the spell took shape. Liam suddenly would cease to exist and he would be Kid Solomon. Liam ran into the room just as the batarang flew through the air. Liam raised his hand and quickly stammered a spell in Greek. His Greek was not great but the magic worked at least.
"Προστατέψτε τον! Εγώ διαταζώ!" He yelled as the Commissioner would be pulled to the side away from the approaching bat thing. It was all Liam could do without more time to plan. He turned his attention to the Batman. "I could have sworn you were a good guy. I might have been wrong though. How's about you go after people who can actually fight instead of old men." He taunted as he hoped the others would stop the thing from killing him instantly.
Well! I do like this plot idea!I am always a sucker for medieval fantasy and Would enjoy the third pairing. I generally like to play in MxM pairings. I tend to like playing whatever you want me to play. It all depends on the exact setting. I have a few ideas for a character.
May 15 th, 2019 - 15:32 | Titans Tower - San Francisco Bay
The gulls wheeled and screamed as they danced around San Francisco Bay. The Sun was shining over the beautiful azure water and everything seemed to be perfect in the world. However, at the new Titans Tower things were a bit more chaotic as it was Moving Day for the only current Teen Titan, Liam McNeil. The current bearer of the Seal of Solomon was used to moving all over the place every other year or so. Ever since he was a child, Liam had been shuffled from place to place all around the world. One minute he would be in Prague and the next minute, Giles would be shuffling him off to Alice Springs, Australia without warning. Every time he had been moved, Liam had been taught some new local magic or something. In Prague, Giles had taught him how to summon demons or in Australia he was taught how to survive in a hostile environment. His whole world had revolved around learning more power instead of being a normal kid. He had never been exactly normal as kids his own age. It was difficult to be normal when you had a ring that could bind and control demons or unruly spirits. he had been taught the rules of magic since before he could walk. His family cared about these rules and still Magic had cost them everything. The Price of Magic had been a painful lesson for a ten year old boy to learn on his birthday.
Ever since that horrid night, his whole world had been turned upside down. That whole night had been a blur. A fire and screaming into the night. Liam screaming into the Shadows to give him the power he needed to survive this and the Thing in the shadows responding to his request. Liam had survived the fire by some miracle. Before the fire trucks had even arrived, Liam had been spirited away from Gotham city. His family's butler Giles had made the choice that his young charge was not safe in the city. Someone had it out for family and Giles had decided not let this person or persons get another chance to get his ward. From then on, the two of them traveled the globe always one step ahead of whoever was chasing after them. The life had not exactly been the most normal one but at least that he had not been murdered by a demon or killed by some thug.
Then, Batman had told him that he was going to be moving to San Francisco because the team needed to be more out in the open. Currently that "team" was more of a solo group but that didn't matter. Liam could handle things on his own but it would be nice to get some backup now and then. He figured talking to Batman was not the best idea so he would stay quiet for now. There were more younger heroes out there and if Batman didn't have time to recruit, then Liam would go on his own recruiting kick for more people. He had a couple ideas for new people if the Batman couldn't. Liam McNeil always had a plan.
The little walk down memory lane helped Liam as he carried his numerous boxes into his rather Spartan room in the Tower. Since there was no one else here, Liam had his pick of rooms and that meant he wanted to choose one a bit far from the main group of rooms. Most people did not take well to someone else screaming in Aramaic at 2 am in the morning. So he needed to get his room all set up before doing anything else. he was hoping to try out the gym before anything since he did have a lot to prove. He was a magic user with little to no other skills that someone would expect for a super hero or whatever he was. He only hoped he would not prove to be a disappointment to the people counting on him. As he kept cleaning the room, a single invitation to a Gotham party fell from one of the boxes. Liam had decided to keep the invitation because it represented the time when he shifted from just a kid with magic to something better. As he looked down at the paper, he started to remember what exactly had happened that night. It was as clear in his mind as a picture.
Gotham City / United States of America:
June 23th, 2018 - 19:25 | The Kane Ballroom - Gotham Heights
The tuxedo suit felt like it was starched to the point where it almost could draw blood. The whole outfit felt like it was trying to kill Liam as he tried to walk through the crowd feeling like an outsider and technically he was. One of Gotham's prodigal sons had returned to the city and that caused a bit of a stir among the upper crust. The gossips whispered about him as Liam wanted nothing more than to just disappear back to Tokyo or wherever Giles had decided to take him.
Giles had been adamant on Liam returning to Gotham right before his sixteenth birthday. There was some sort of family tradition involving the bequeathing of the Seal of Solomon and Liam was then bundled back to the city he had fled from all those years ago. The rumor had been that his entire family had died in that fire. Then out of the blue, Liam materializes as if by magic into the city's elite as if he had never left. Anyone with a suspicious nature would have found that rather odd.
Liam wandered through Bruce Wayne's Gala clearly looking rather uncomfortable with all of it. He could look at demons with a smile but walking through the Gotham Elite scared him more than anything. The whole thing felt wrong and Liam had his Mask hidden in the tuxedo. he smiled as he walked through crowds smiling to everyone. Something felt wrong but he couldn't place why everything felt so wrong.
Dude, we do not care about his weaknesses. He is the combination of a physical character and magical character with the powers of both combined. That is my issue personally. He can do so many things and be an expert in them. Both of the power sets combined are a huge power boost.
@AngelofOctober Might I advise removing some of his powers? It does seem like there’s quite a lot of powers there. Magic and the strong wolf form? I mean one of Jose could easily go towards your guy being a protector type. The werewolf might work a bit better solo. Then you could go for the whol Protector thing but still have the cursed thing. Just my two cents as an outsider.
Day Job: Running the streets of Gotham trying to do good is his night job. He's currently a student at Gotham Academy and occasionally looking in on the Gamily business of importing and exporting.
Powers:
Magic: He needs to use spells to cast his magic but his magics are powerful. Due to his half homo-magi blood, he is quite the powerful sorcerer or some day he will be. Today he is just a decent sorcerer. He usually uses his spell book as a focus but in a bind, he can use his blood as a focus. His spells are varied so long as he can pay the required cost. Usually, animal blood will do.
The Seal of Solomon (Summoning): Liam doesn't see calling outsider beings or demons to help him to do as a bad thing. A creature that can help him is a good thing. The Seal of Solomon allows him to do this. His Magic summons the creature from whichever place it came from and the Seal binds the creature to his service. Liam can only keep on creature at a time for now.
Blood Magic : He is skilled at the use of blood magic. He can do more "dark" magics with his blood spells. Using this magic, he can place curses or weaken his enemies if he has time to set up.
Weaknesses: "All Magic Comes with a Price, Dearie": His spells are powerful but they require an offering of something equal in value. If he wants to raise someone from the dead, he must sacrifice someone else's life for the person. The stronger the spell, the more costly the price. If the price is too high, the spell can take a bit of his life.
"One Cannot Rush True Magic": Liam needs time to set up his spells and if his magic is interrupted then it does not work or worse. The spell might backfire or cause something to happen. With more practice he could control this but for now it is a large issue.
Skills: Liam can read and write in: Latin, Greek, Aramaic, and Hebrew. Despite his magic, he is quite good with his fists. Not going to punch out a powerful person but he would be good against regular thugs. His tutors thought it important that he can fight without his magic.
Appearance:
Liam will eventually need a better outfit but for now Spandex is not his thing. The Mask manages to hide his appearance unless he takes it off willingly.Even people who know him intimately cannot see through the illusion even if they see his tattoos.
BRIEF Bio:
The Wind Spirits sings the song around the ruins of an old Mansion in Gotham Our wisdom flows so sweet. Taste and see.
TRANSMIT - initiate Gotham signal - RECEIVE - initiate the Solomon frequency - THINK OF THE CHILD - initiate the sob cadence - WITNESS - Kid Solomon.
Do you see the burnt mansion ruins over looking Gotham City, Sweetling? We do. We see everything in Gotham. Do you see the impossible claw marks on the door? Or can you hear the cries of anguish from the empty building? We can hear them crying and we know what happened. Would you like to know? We shall tell you the story.
Initiate the History Cadence
Liam Connor McNeil was born on the Eve of All Hallows (Halloween) and from that day forth he was far than normal. The McNeil's had been one of the prominent old families in Gotham and had always seemed to be oddly successful. When ever it seemed that their business was about to fail, they seemed to always bounce back and oddly a servant or two would disappear. It was was so ironic that they would lose a servant and get what they wanted? It is funny how things work out for the morally wrong?
This cycle of success and failure continued for years until eventually, one of his ancestors decided enough was enough. The family would no long sacrifice innocent blood for their own gain. The family was no longer richer than God and all His Angels but they were still wealthy enough to be considered the Upper Crust of the Gotham Elite. The gossip had always been that the McNeil's were an odd lot who never quite fit in. Their Import Export business was still profitable and they did a good deal of business with the Waynes and that made them rich.
Liam was born during a full moon an Halloween and that was seen as a good sign in his family's eyes. His parents were both magical and it appeared that Liam had more power than both of them from birth. Someday, he would lead the family and everything would be fine. From a young age, he was taught the lessons of magic and how to use it. These lessons were important to the young man. Then things got bad for the young man quickly.
Initiate the Trauma Signal
On his tenth birthday, things got worse for Liam. His parents tried to summon something that they did not control. The creature got loose when the wards broke. Then the screaming began waking Liam up from his sleep. We watched as the boy ran through the mansion as hellfire broke out around him. The screams would be with the boy till the day he died. We saw the boy go running out of the house while it was consumed in Hellfire. We watched as the ever faithful butler Giles came to the boy and pulled him away. The loyal servant took the boy away from the destruction and taught him magic all around the world. The boy did not return to Gotham for years. The city for the most part thought that he had died in the fire.
Initate the Now Signal Now we see our Sweetling using his magic to try and fix Gotham. The Man in the Bat Suit can only fight crazies in masks. It takes the right kind of person to fight a ghost. The Man Bat cannot punch a ghost to death since it is a ghost and all that. We wonder if Kid Solomon can even be a hero despite his family's twisted past. Can someone with a wicked past be something good? Only time shall tell us.
Story Arcs: The Price of Magic: Magic has a price and Liam has racked up a large debt. The Outsider holding the Debt is willing to ignore it for the proper sacrifice. Can Liam give up His morality for his own life? Should he live? (Solo/ Team)
Blood on the Neon Floor: Someone is kidnapping teenage club goers in Gotham and draining of every drop of blood. Liam believes that it is something to do with Black Magic but this is something he can’t do on his own. Liam's ex boyfriend was one of the victims and it felt personal. He needs all the help he can get and so he would swallow his pride and ask for help. (Team Up)
The Alignment: "When the stars were right, They could plunge from world to world through the sky; but when the stars were wrong, They could not live." : Someone is attempting to summon The Nameless One from the Source Wall. Summoning an Old God to Earth is never a good thing. It will take more than a single young Sorcerer to stop them. (Team Up)
Supporting Characters: All Arcs: Giles Stonier: Liam's family butler. The older man's job is to teach his young charge about Magic as he had been ordered. The man never seems to age.
The Payment: Zurzazak (The one holding the Contract), anyone willing to help Liam not to lose his soul.
Blood on the Dance Floor: Doctor Gotham , his cult, and any team willing to help Liam stop them from causing mayhem in Gotham.
The Alignment: The Nameless One, and more but no spoilers.
Secondary Character: Denny Colt: The Spirit (I have a modern twist idea for him.)
Additional Notes: Liam prefers men over women and most certainly has a type of guy he likes. He has a weakness for the hero type of guy.
