Personality: While Le-Matoran are usually quite cheerful and excitable, but Nongu's time as a Toa has sobered him. He has seen so much good and bad in the world, and he's come to view the world from seemingly opposing angles in order to see the facts at the heart of a matter. Being in charge of the village's supplies, his mind is often focused on numbers and the needs and wants of the Matoran.
Backstory: At one point a simple messenger on his home island, Nongu became a Toa alongside Ranga and Watiri, protecting Matoran across the universe before settling down on a particular island and becoming Turaga. On Avsa Nui, he is in charge of Ora-Koro's provisions, and he can be found busying himself in the village.

Equipment: Badge of Office
Personality: A calm and level-headed individual, Ranga puts the Matoran of Ora-Koro before himself. He is patient, with years of experience put to use leading the Matoran. Though a realist at the end of the day, he does his best to see the world through "glass half-full" lenses. Aside from supervising the Expeditionary Guild, he occasionally helps to repair masks, weapons, and tools.
Backstory: Long ago, Ranga was a Toa of Fire, working alongside his teammates Watiri and Nongu to protect Matoran across the universe. They eventually settled down on a particular island, and gave up their Toa Power, becoming Turaga. For some time, the island they lived on was peaceful. That all changed when six warlords attacked, enslaving Matoran to serve their own goals. The only option was to flee, and so the Matoran and Turaga left the island on a boat. Time went by and they arrived on Avsa Nui.

Entry 9: Forest Mantis

A close relative of the Metru Mantis, Forest Mantis are large, predatory insect Rahi that will eat almost anything they can catch. As their name implies, they hide in the underbrush, preferring to find a spot near a watering hole or a game trail and patiently waiting to ambush prey. Their bladed forearms are not only incredibly powerful, the barbs on the inside of the blades can inject a venom that makes prey drowsy and easier to consume.

Pakaru's assessment

I don't like bugs. Never have, never will. But when you scale one up to 1.5 bio [6.75 ft/205.74 cm] tall and give it blades for forearms, and make it an ambush predator, you have me running for the hills. Forest Mantis are noticeably more aggressive than Metru Mantis, and they've attacked Matoran on several occasions. The best way to spot a Forest Mantis before it attacks is by keeping an ear out for a distinct clicking sound they make when anticipating prey.

I would love to write opposite a tsundere character, with all the romcom shenanigans that implies.

Still looking for that, but I would also be really happy to play some campy military sci-fi in the vein of Helldivers and Starship Troopers.

Entry 8: Kadinoko

An odd snake Rahi with a stout body. Despite their rotund appearance, they are able to hop and glide short distances thanks to a pair of small wings. Unlike most snakes they make a distinctive squeaking noise. On most occasions, they are rarely seen. However, once every seven years, Kadinoko swarm in the hundreds in the area around Ora-Koro. There are multiple theories as to why this event occurs, but none have been proven so far.

Pakaru's assessment

These Rahi continue to be an oddity among the wildlife of Avsa Nui. Despite being venomous, they are harmless to Matoran, as their fangs are both too small and located in the back of the mouth. Some find them endearing, to the point that there's a small club dedicated to studying them... and selling cute, marketable plushies of them. Regardless, they are a slight nuisance when they congregate every few years, to the point that you can't walk around Ora-Koro without potentially stepping on one.
