Geo would let out a awkward groan as the knife plunged into Geo's shoulder-blade. There was a sensation of touch and pressure pushed to the player, but as a relief of game-design there hadn't been a sharp sting of pain. A small relief that Doc probably had felt far less when the spear had pierced into them earlier. The spearman was a warrior type class, but still early level against a stronger mob.

G3O_VAN took 4 damage
Fortunate that he wasn't a caster class, or the damage may have been severe in comparison. Still a a fair chunk.

The blast of light causing a distance between the knife bandit & Geo was a grace. As it came rushing by the avian slid back a few steps into a defensive stance. His spear at his side, and his off-hand placed ahead for balance.
A quick glance brought relief that it was DOC who sent it, and not some sudden aberration of a new mob that was unexpected.

"Thanks for handling the other guy quick enough! That beam, wasn't meant to heal me right?"
Geo called out, he didn't exactly see the skills effects when it procked. The enemy certainly saw it as dangerous, so it was fairly certain.

"On it!"
Geo called back as the bandit surged toward him. Thankfully dodging & defense leaned toward his gameplay style, especially with agility being one of his primary stats. The sperman was already moving when the knife-bandit surge toward them. He was quickly back-stepping toward Doc's general direction. Not enough time to make it to them before the Bandit was basically at his side.

He was rushed since the bandit's could use skills at all.

The rush of movement slipped behind Geo which made defending quickly unlikely, not an option. He didn't have time to turn around, and he was already going backward. A mixture of old talent, and a bit too much of movie influence kicked in. Something, that the game would make easier to do than elsewhere.
Geo would stab his spear into the ground, and kick his body upward.

The avian's wing like arms flapped to head in reverse. As his talon feet would throw up & backward in a inverse pole-vault. While Geo had intended for it to try and sail him further over-head, he hadn't quite gotten the height right. On the other hand, it was perfect for his sandals to kick at roughly face height behind him, and throw the rest of his body back and upward.
A harder position to stab at downward in knife grip, but normally likely to cause a tumble than harm if it weren't moving at quick speeds~.

Typing up a post soon, thanks for your patience
Ivor would look back at the hot metal behind him. The cover of the vehicle probably wouldn't outlast a dozen shots or so from those clay, putty like monsters. But it could at least hold out for a few. He needed to get in a different position as these ET's were headed for them, being prone on the ground only held up for the earlier shots.

One of the ET's had been drawn to Eric as their previous shot had flew by it. Ivor caught a glimpse of it running too close for comfort. He shifted toward a half-kneel to an awkward tackle! Throwing his shoulder into slam into an enemy ET, and hopefully out of its charge toward Eric.

There would be a flash of pink light from Ivor's armband as he made contact with one of the ET's. The light emanating from the armband crystal would spread across the soldier's uniform, manifesting a pink outfit around him. A helmet sprouting soon after and clicking itself around his head with a black visor.
The transformation happened in a flash, but it seemed as if Ivor could actually damage these strange ET's. Maybe there was some step that would trigger it for Eric as well!

Especially as more ET's began to focus their approach on Eric & Ivor. The two were going to be surrounded soon, and may need to fight their way out.
Ivor typically kept his rifle on standard-fire, focusing on accuracy versus fire-rate. The initial distance of the ETs, made it important for the first few shots. He knew these things could take a beating from standard gunfire. He had been betting on the 'eye' being a clear spot to target, until they could find another weak-spot.

A quick glance at the armband showed it faintly glowing in the combat engagement, but it hadn't particularly done anything yet.

The soldier believed in the rescue's pilot ability to patch people up. Plus it was a relief to get a relatively green combatant in a safer spot. It made it easier to keep firing without looking over his shoulder as much.
He'd adjust the rifle to take a cover shot back at one of the firing ETs. Needing to get its focus away from the rescuer treating one of the guards behind the truck. Ivor's defending cover fire would fly true, pin-pointed to the attacking ET's "eye". Should be lucky enough to at least stun the monster for a minute, unless something else blocked it.

Ivor was only lucky enough to get the shot since ET's were moving closer to the group.
Starting to charge toward their ragtag attackers. It didn't seem like they coordinated among themselves, versus simply running straight toward Eric & the others. It would be a couple minutes until these ETs would be upon them.

"They're running at us head-on. Closing in from being spread out."
Ivor would call out, before getting ready to place his next shot.
Before spitting out something between gibberish, and swear as one of the ET's shots hit the truck door behind him.
The metal of the truck's door glowing with orange heat.
