Characters are only as good as their players. I can't help you fight against Spectre because I don't know how to do so. I'm still in the process of developing Crystal Technique. I'm sure someone else here would be able to figure it out, though.

Who's to say that Rythian's win condition wouldn't be fulfilled in return? Magic is too fickle to risk it. For Ridge to live a short time thinking his brother is still on the loose is better than Ridge being trapped in his own mind, watching helplessly as Maelstrom rampaged.

I might know why you think you had to do that, but let's hear it.
Before they fought, Ridge and Rythian made a deal. If Ridge won, Rythian would let us fix him, but if Rythian won, Ridge would let Maelstrom out. Even though it was a draw, Ridge's win condition was still fulfilled.
