-Ruby- Because those connections are still there, but broken into two strands. With significant mental skill, like Data has, we can manoeuvre them together. It's like, the two parts of the mind, they're attracted to each other, because they've been taken away from their natural state. They had the power sucked away from the connections. They want each other, but they can't have each other, so all we do is give them what they need so they can have each other.
