RISING UP TO THE CHALLENGE OF OUR RIVALS!

Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

"Osajyin!" Rin could see it in his eyes how much it hurt him when the Smergle yanked on his leaf. In response, Rin dislocated the wild pokémon's grip manually and barely contained the urge to throw the little monster. Turning Osaja's face over to check for any bruising Rin's face creased in parental worry. "Are you hurt? Are you okay?" the Bayleef did his best to look calm, but he looked ready to give up. "It's gonna be okay, buddy, use Synthesis for now, alright?" Nodding weakly, Osajyin's leaf shimmered a vibrant glow, but Rin wouldn't take their eyes off of him. Who knew a Smergle could be so vicious? Hopefully this draining move would serve it a little poetic justice and even take the little monster down.

Bayleef used Synthesis. Her light shined bright in the night. It was glorious, and JUST what the doctor ordered. A new vigor returned to his eyes. At the same time, Smeargle became lost in the moment. In truth, he had taken a lot of damage, and was only surviving in will power and bold anger. But this light, its beauty calmed his heart and made him forget and forgive the earlier desecration of his art.

In a state of bliss, he fainted.

Result: Bayleef's Divine Beauty

Liz was barely out of town before she heard the sound of a disturbance again. She looked around and spotted a Mienfoo causing mayhem on some vehicles. She sighed inwardly to herself.

Just can't catch a break with the trouble makers can I?? She thought to herself. "Let's go Phoniks, we can use a fighting type on our team, peck the hell out of it." Murkrow came out with a war cry, prepared for battle.

Murkrow charged through the air toward the Mienfoo, but her war cry worked against her. Just as her attack was about to land, Mienfoo's fighting instincts kicked in; Mienfoo used Detect at the last second. By using this move, she was able to twist her body out of the way by a matter of inches. At the same time, she pushed down on the back of Murkrow with a Tia Chi like maneuver. This redirected Murkrow straight toward the ground. Mienfoo watched with a naughty grin.

Result: Mean Mienfoo Counter Attack!

@Balthazar007

Rin regrets for me to inform you that Osajyin's actually the one who lost 11 power, not the other way around. Why you gotta tease me like that? ;-; Just kidding, lol, but too bad though. Looks like we still in this fight for the long haul! As long as that Smergle doesn't get any more crazy rolls that is!

Oh wow! I didn't notice that! I'll edit my post to reflect that. Thanks for being honest. lol
Liz flicked her hair in fustration. The man named Jackson took off on a motorcycle, Liz recalled Chloris and stopped at the Pokemon center. After her Pokemon we're feeling better she once again made her way towards the desert, she lost so much time again. She was sure she would see that jerkoff on the bike again, and next time he was going down, and than she was taking him to the police for his wanting destruction!!

At the edge of town, more trouble was stirring. Even from a distance, one could here the sounds of glass breaking and car alarms going off.

The culprit this time wasn't a human, but a naughty Mienfoo (Or should we say MEANfoo)......

Anyways, this Mienfoo had only recently learned the move swift, and was just testing it out... on cars. She smiled every time a windshield would break. The sound was like music to her ears.

"Bay," he assured and nodded his head. This wasn't really the fun Osaja imagined when he joined Rin's team. He hoped they wouldn't harass too many other artist in the future. Though who knows what these woods held. Osaja had never really explored too far from his nest, and that kind of change of scenery really intrigued him when he was stuck in that pokéball for the second time. So with another toss of his head, the Leaf Pokémon figured he'd just go with the flow. Apparently there were ups and downs with adventuring, but that wasn't really anything new to living life. Rin hooted encouragingly as if the louder they were, the more damage Osajyin would do. The Bayleef couldn't help but smile at this. For all of his trainer's quick bursts of temper and impatience, they still gave it their all from the sidelines with an undying will. So Rin's hollering may not have increased Osaja's damage, but it sure did increase their friendship . . . and Osaja had a good feeling that was worth all the ruined murals in the world.

Bayleef reared back to unleash a strong Razor Leaf, but for whatever reason, he decided to look away from his target. He seemed lost in thought as he looked over toward his trainer. The Smeargle took this opportunity to grab the leaf on Bayleef's head. He then pulled Osaja closer and tilted his head slightly, never breaking eye contact.

Result: Smeargle Gets Physical

@Balthazar007
You never answered my question from before.
<Snipped quote by Metamore>I'm assuming the latter, due to you not altering any of Smergle's rolls, but I just want to be sure moving forward.

[@Ceres22]
Don't think I'll forgive you for getting your badge first! Also don't be too confident Rin won't canonically beat Liz to it! You may have already posted your victory, but you received it on Day 4, so I still have time! I just need to run into something that's not Smergle ;-; ... and preferably Flying Type.. *prays to RNG Jesus*

Yes, effect moves are just attacking moves for the sake of this RP. ALL moves are created equally within RP battles. The only things that matters is the move's type.

...

@Cerces22
I know, I know. I just like to tease is all. As for the ignoring, I think I'll have to chock that up to Rin's hyperactivity. With all of their bouncing from place to place they'll shortly forget all about their Pokédex, in favor of taking it all in. Hopefully we'll be able to battle soon though! ...If I can ever escape this battle that is! Who'd know a move-less Smergle could draw out a fight this much?

@metamore

No it has moves, what is insulting is it refuses to use them and I think even if it hasn't landed a hit it's still winning this fight lmao

This Smeargle has been around the block. It knows about typing. It's not going to copy a move that will turn around and be weak against its opponent. Though, you are beating it slowly.
The man's Exadrill barreled under the ground, cutting off Chloris's magical leaf. Liz knew he would effectively continue this until her poor pokemon was defeated.

"Listen up Chloris, if the Exadrill goes under ground again,
close your eyes and feel the vibrations with your feet!! When it surfaces hit him with poison powder!!"

Exadrill surfaced and hit Bayleef pretty hard. Then, without hesitation, the man called out his next order, "Excadrill, use Metal Claw!" In a split second, Excedrill's claws began to glow with a silver light and slash at Chloris from close range. The metal claws dug into their opponent. The battle was over in an instant.

As Chloris laid there unconscious, the man called out in victory, "Haha! How pathetic! You're Bayleef is one tough customer.
Too bad his trainer sucks. But you've satisfied my appetite for today. I'll leave, but remember this name, Jackson the Destroyer, of the Brawlers!"
With that final declaration, the man known as Jackson skipped backward for a moment before mounting a motorcycle and driving away.

Result: A Quick Defeat

)
Just as Liz reached the edge of town, a loud explosion sounded. She turned and saw a man with an Exadrill loving it up. He threatened to keep destroying buildings until a strong trainer battled him. Liz looked off to the desert, she really should be going, this isn't her problem. As she turned away she stopped and thought about if it was her town. She sighed annoyed and turned around and went walking back to the man.

"Look, I am not from this town, but I can't let you destroy it. For this town, I guess I am going to have to defeat you, please don't waste to much of my time, it is annoying. Come on out Chloris, let's make it quick,
show me Magical Leaf."
Liz was bored before it began, but someone had to stop this fool.

The man was just about to sick his Excadrill on another building when Liz showed up. At first, the man wanted to laugh in her face; where did this little girl get her bravery from. That's when she sent out Chloris. He could tell that this Pokemon of hers had some power, for sure. His prayers had been answered.

"Alright girlie, let's do this! Excadrill, use Dig!"

Excadrill shot downward into the ground, at an impressive speed. This effectively allowed it to avoid the Magical Leaf.

Liz felt lucky that the boat had finally docked, after talking to man and hearing his creeptastic obsession over professor Rica, Liz felt dirty enough to want a shower. She hit the local PokeCenter and was disappointed to hear there was no gym or Pokemart in town. She didn't stay long, not even to visit the professor. She made her way South for the next town and new Pokemon. As she reached the edge she noticed that she would be traversing a desert, it was at this time she wished she had a water type pokemon to help keep her cool. She took her first steps towards the next town.

Liz was ready to leave the town when she heard it, the loud distinct sound of a building crumbling down to the ground.

Back in Yanso Town square, a man stood proudly beside the building his Exadrill had just destroyed. A few people were badly injured trying to escape, but luckily, no one lost their lives.

"What do you want?" Shouted an elderly man.

The rough looking man shouted back, "Get your hearing checked old man! I already said! I want to fight against the strongest person in this town!" His shouts were more toward the entire crowd than the elderly man. "Whoever you are, get out here! I'm going to keep knocking down buildings until you either come out or I get tired! What'll it be!?"

Thanks I didn't want to look for a gym if there was none lol

There isn't a Poke Mart either, only a Poke Center.
