Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Had a bit of Internet trouble, but it's all fixed and I'm getting back to RP posts.

Cool beans. I'm looking forward to your first IC post. Let me know if you have any questions.

Hello friends,

I left out one fairly important detail in that last post, but no biggie. That detail would be where your first stop will be on the bootcamp tour. Bundle up, because when you look at your ticket, you will see a final destination of Norilsk Airport, Russia.

Feel free to take your time getting there, or you can get there all in your next post. That's up to you all. Also, I couldn't think of anything important to post regarding Pokemon World characters yet, but if you'd like me to come up with something, let me know.
The Pokemon itself slowly approached him, and after a moment of judging the man in front of it, spoke. "Kingler?" Forest grinned and reached out, patting it reassuringly.

"It's alright, buddy. I won't hurt you." The Kingler seemed to relax and even nuzzle his hand.

Forest's interview seemed to be going well, but honestly it was hard to tell, with such a one-dimensionally happy interviewer. Then came the moment of truth, the moment Forest came face to face with a large Kingler. As Forest and Kingler sized each other up, Jacob (his interviewer) watched carefully. It was actually in this moment that Jacob's one-dimensional smile faultered, momentarily turning into a genuine soft grin. But before Forest could see this expression, it vanished behind the normal professional smile.

Three weeks later...

It was still early in the month of April, April 6th to be exact. There had been no news on Forest's results, or anybody else's for that matter. But considering the tests lasted till the end of March, most people were understanding. Then, right at noon, 12 O'clock on the dot, he recieved the call. "Congradulations!" It was a recording Professor Oak's voice. He had passed the tests! Acording to the message, everything would be explained in an email that was sent to him at the start of the phone call....

(Quick Note: The following "email" is recieved by all human characters. In other words, this applies to @Zarkun, @Cerces22, @LuckyBlackCat, as well our fourth person (assuming we get a fourth person).)

Greetings (Your Character's Name),

Congradulations! You are on your way to becoming a part of the world's first Pokemon trainers. But before we hand you Pokeballs and your first Pokemon, we must be absolutely sure that you are ready. While we expect the life of a trainer to be fun and exciting, it could (and probably will) also be dangerous.

For this reason, we are going to hold a seven week bootcamp. Everyone will be split into seven groups, each with about 50 individuals from across the globe. You will be a part of "Group 3". With your group, you will travel to seven different locations across the planet, to experience different ecosystems first hand and hone the skills needed to be the best Pokemon trainer you can be.

Your journey, should you accept, will begin May 4th. On that day, you will catch a flight from an airport near you and be taken to your first training site. You have until April 21st to respond to this email. If you do not respond, your spot will be forfeited. If you respond and affirm your commitment, you will recieve your plane tickets via email within 24 hours. If you need special accomidations to get to the airport, please let us know.

We hope you are still on board!

Sincerely,
(Your Character's Nation)
& Nations of the World

(Quick Note: Notice that this "email" is structured to apply to everyone in "Group 3". This is the group of which all player controled characters will be a part.)

I work a double tomorrow. I'll reply to posts again Tuesday afternoon or Wednsday afternoon (after work).

I didn't work today, so you can guess what I did... That's right. I continued placing Pokemon on the globe. I'm currently 85% finished. All that's left are Legendary/Mythical Pokemon.

Oh yeah!
If no one else posts by morrow I will toss one up and now that Circe is accepted, is bootcamp in DC as well

No, the bootcamp is not in DC. All will be explained in my response to Circe opening her email, but spoiler alert...

The bootcamp doesn't take place in one location. The bootcamp phase of this RP will take us on a tour of the world.
Whew, been really busy with a new job, but will have a post soon.

Sounds good!

When you do post, feel free to include anything all the way up to when your surprise interview Pokemon is revealed.

I know I already told you via PM, but for everyone else, @LuckyBlackCat's character will be at a London testing site, and the surprise Pokemon will be a Granbull (Not as sad as the one in that picture though.)
"I always wanted a Pokemon, since the first game came out it caught my attention. And with the t.v. show stole my imagination, traveling the world, catching pokemon and having an adventure with friends. This is my one chance to follow that childhood dream. I understand you can make that happen or take it away. Please don't crush that little girl's hopes." She said calmly to the therapist.

Kathy listened to Circe with a tight lipped expression. Circe's child-like wonder did not seem to be going over well.

When the Beedrill was released and Circe held out a hand, Kathy's lips parted, and her eyes grew slightly wider. She was about to warn the girl not to touch the creature, but decided against it at the last second. Instead she watched as the Beedrill allowed itself to be petted. As Circe spoke, with one hand rubbing the Beedrill's head, Kathy remained straight faced. But truth be told, she was amazed...

About four weeks later...

Circe hadn't heard anything about being accepted or not as a trainer. Every day for the last week, those that were accepted would recieve a phone call. Their pictures quickly went up on the news. There were no calls telling anyone they were NOT chosen, but each day, fewer and fewer people were being announced.

Finally, Circe's call came while she was at work. "Congradulations!" The voice was Professor Oak's again, another convincing recording. "You have been selected for the oppritunity to become a Pokemon trainer! In your email, you will find everything you need to know. I look forward to meeting you in person someday soon!" And with that, the recording ended...
@Zarkun@Cerces22@LuckyBlackCat

I'm going to respond to any and all posts this Sunday.

As for the recent topic of how we will proceed after bootcamp, that will stay up in the air until bootcamp is closer to being finished. I'm sure we'll think of something, maybe even pick up one more player between now and then.

BTW, I'm 65% done placing all Pokemon on the globe.
@Balthazar007

You know me Balthy, IDC either way, once we get past boot camp I think this will pick up a lot of steam

I think so too. :)
