Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Jack's temper was boiling under the surface. Most of the crowd had left at Mori's threat, but a few had stuck around. Not only was he put in an embarrassing situation, but he had been interrupted before he could have his fun tearing down Indigo. But all wasn't lost.

He waited till things calmed down before he spoke. "Okay Mori. You can let us go now."

Seeing no reason not to, Moril let the twins down. It was finally time for Jack to play his trump card. He only wished that more people had stuck around to see this.

He stepped toward Indigo slowly, with a respectful bow of his head. "You did well Indigo. I'm impressed you came so far in such a short time." His words seemed sincere, but the glare in his eye said otherwise. He then closed them dramatically and lowered his head in a sigh. "It's too bad though, all that talent going to waste on someone as horrible as you." A slight smile flickered across Jack's face, but dissipated quicker than it appeared. When he looked up, he looked genuinely disappointed. "You heartlessly abandoned one of your Pokemon last night, didn't you?"

Indigo's face went pallid. "What?"

"Don't act dumb. You abandoned your Bumy. I know because I had to take it in." Jack said, shrugging and shaking his head.

Indigo put his hands to his face, gawking. "Y-You've got Hero? Where? Where?! I have to apologize to him!" He shouted desperately.

"You didn't recognize him? Male Burmy evolve into Mothim." Jack said, as if comforting a toddler. "You've messed up pretty bad, huh?" A queasy feeling rolled over Indigo. No... Not like this. That Mothim was Hero? No!

"I know it was a mistake!" Indigo shouted. "Please, let me at least apologize to my pokemon. I have see him. I have to see Hero!" He looked to Margo and Mori and Jill and finally Jack. "I know what a huge mistake I made. Believe me, I know. I was stupid! SO stupid! But I regretted it as soon as I did it. I know that doesn't fix anything but Hero has to know how sorry I am!"

"First of all, he's not your Pokemon anymore. You threw him out. Plus, he was the only pokemon you took out. He needs his rest," Jack said with a cold smile. Indy's eyes began to gloss over. "Don't cry, Indigo. Maybe, after Mothim gets better, I'll ask if he wants to see you. But you were pretty awful. So don't be mad at him if he says no." Slowly, he began ticking off his fingers. "I mean, you called him ugly, useless, and you abandoned him right after you caught that Vivillion, like you only had room for one bug Pokemon in your life. I don't know why, but I expected better of you, Indy."

Mori ran his fingers through his loosely held ponytail of dark rivulets, saying nothing. Truth be told, he and Indy had never been too close. And while he wanted to help, while he wanted to be a mature adult, he had no idea how exactly to approach the situation. This was the first he was hearing of this scenario. "Indy--" he started.

Indigo whirled on him. "I don't need to hear it, not from you."

Damn, well, it's not really my place I guess... Mori thought. Seeing Indigo's scrunched up face and knowing that he couldn't do anything were both terrible to experience.

"I want to go," Jill announced suddenly. As much as she hated to admit it, her own brother was getting on her nerves. She'd seen this manipulative side of him before. He got it from their mother. It was starting to make her feel sorry for Indigo.

Jack recognized the tone in her voice and decided his work was done. "Yeah, we should get going." The twins took a few steps before Jack turned back. "You ready Mori?"

A part of Mori wanted to stay and check on his little brother, but he did have a job to do. As long as the twins weren't getting into trouble, he was supposed to follow them and help them however he could. "Yeah. I'm ready" he said. But before he could take a second step, he turned his head back to Margo and Indy. "Watch after my little bro, would ya?"

And so, they walked away. What little crowd had remained parted to let them pass, then dispersed to get back to their regular day.

Catching up to the twins Mori asked Jack, "Shouldn't you heal your Pokemon at the center?"

Jack put his hands in his pockets, and with a satisfied smile on his face, he spoke quietly. "Naw. I have plenty of potions."

Jill rolled her eyes, took a deep cleansing breath, and placed her hands behind her head. She was just happy to be on the road again.
Honest, and truly, I apologize to EVERYONE for my recent post bc it was so long and I literally don't even know why, I'm so sorry lmao.
Nothing really important, I don't think so carry on, don't worry about it, pls.

@prettydrops

Let me know if I need to edit Mori please! I tried to not do TOO much with him in order to keep him in character and I didn't want to mess him up too much lmao

It was long, but it set up Margo's relationship to Mori nicely. Well done.

@prettydrops, Do you want me to go next? Or you? Either way, the post will look quite the same. Lol

Alright, I've added a bunch of places to the 1st IC post. I hope you enjoy the read. It took a while.
@Balthazar007dope! Thanks!

I'm assuming your next post will summarize the results of the battle and catch your timeline back up with Daniel. The silver lining behind your defeat is that your close battle with Jack means you should have no problem with Mbali, the head coordinator that he beat so handily. That's what Jack would tell Indigo after their battle, before they turn their backs and walk away. Or would you rather I do their exiting post? Up to you.

Edit: Oops, I forgot. We have a new character to introduce. So actually, I think you should summarize the battle and introduce the new character. Margo can then react to the character, considering he's sort of her "rival". Then I'll do their exiting post. AND THEN, you or iKatamalicious can catch your timeline up with TheForgottenArc's.

Sorry to hold you up TheForgottenArc, but you did sort of run ahead of everyone else. lol. Hopefully we can catch up quickly.
After some final words of encouragement from Margo, Indy squared his shoulders and made his way outside. Already, a sizeable crowd had formed.

"Hey there, Jack. How are you?" Indy called out, trying to be friendly, and gauge Jack's attitude. The crowd was chattering so excitedly, Indigo was both baffled and annoyed. If only they knew how awful he was...

Jack hear Indy's call, but he was in the middle of answering a question, so he ignored it. "Yes, yes, I defeated Mbali with great ease, but we all know that head coordinators and gym leaders aren't allowed to use their strongest Pokemon against new trainers. I'm sure things would have been different if she were allowed to use any Pokemon she liked. Still, I'm happy we were able to win yesterday."

At the word 'we', Jill simply nodded her head in agreement and smiled. She had glanced over her shoulder at Indigo a few times while Jack was speaking. Now finished, she placed her hand on his shoulder to get his attention. "Look who it is Jack! I think he's ready."

Pretending to be genuinely surprised, Jack held out a hand to shake. "Oh hey there. How long have you been there? You should have said something. Are you ready to battle?"

While Jack spoke with Indigo, Jill worked the crowd. "Do you all want to see Jack at work?" They yelled their affirmation. "Are you ready to see how he won his first medallion?" They grew even louder. "Well this is Jacks next challenger." She motioned to Indigo. "Fun fact: this is actually a rematch. Of course, Jack was the winner last time, but who knows? Maybe things will be different today?"

This got the crowd going even more, as people started speaking up in the chaos. "There's no way Jack will loose!" ... "Who is that guy anyways!?" ... "I hope this is a good battle!" ... "Jack! Jack! Jack!"

At the sound of his name being chanted, Jack turned to wave, acting slightly embarrassed and modestly flattered. In actuality, he didn't care. It was just another day in the life of a celebrity. He turned back to Indigo and considered saying, "Let's get this over with." But then he caught sight of Margo. Not knowing whether she was a fan or not, he opted for a more polite, "Are you ready?". His smile radiated sincerity.

@Balthazar007 have their levels improved enough that they might be able to see different pokemon in the locations they have been to? just wondering! also, were you going to reply as Jack at all, or no? just because it feels kind of weird double posting xD and are we allowed to level up during the timeskip or no? because I just assumed we weren't allowed to but idk. just figured I would ask! maybe we could put total hours trained or something? and the intensity? then you could call it from there? or something?

Answer #1: Actually, I'd rather reveal Pokemon based off other another criteria, not how powerful you've become. Instead, just talk to locals: townspeople and trainers. They can tip you off to new Pokemon. Also, there is an educational book in the next city's grand library that will "teach you" about how to track stronger, more elusive Pokemon.

Answer #2: I'll have an IC post up in about an hour.

Answer #3: Yes, you all may level up during the time skip. In fact, I believe that everyone in this RP understands what it takes to level up. If it's okay with you all, I no longer want to "award" level gains. If you feel like you've done enough to gain a level, then go ahead and add it; that simple. It's not like you're competing with one another. Just be reasonable, and sloe down progress gains as your Pokemon get stronger. I can step in to slow you down if I feel the need, but I probably won't.

Answer #3b: I will however "award" currency and prizes from battles and such. That will never change.

Bonus Info: You're both strong enough as is to defeat the gym leader/head coordinator. But you can wait till you get back and steam roll them.

Bonus Info: Also, you have permission to catch a couple Kanto based Pokemon during the time skip, if you want. Just clear them with me first.

Bonus Info: I'm going to go ahead and add some more locations to the map key today. I.e. I'm going to reveal the other two routes that connect to Shamba town and the places where they lead.

after today's IC day...

I was wondering if we could time skip a week or two? (maybe even three?) perhaps indigo, dan, and margo just kind of vacation for awhile and hang around shamba? I ask because, while I don't mind rping out every single day, it's also gonna take forever indigo's pokemon to evolve because even tho the levels are 'correct', he's been only training for technically 5 hours a day or so for a few days. I just feel like real pokemon world wise, pokemon wouldn't evolve that soon. i feel like it'd take like... a month. and that's just stage one. when combusken turns into blaziken eventually, i feel like that should take even longer.

So I guess I'm asking if we can just timeskip for two weeks and say they kind of just did whatever? Maybe they just hung around Shamba, did some odd jobs here and there, connected more, and just took it easy? we can spin it however way we like. maybe they even went back to visit Dan's mom? basically today's IC day would end, and they would wake up and it would be two-three weeks later. everything's the same, they still have the same amount of money, levels, etc. just the time line has pushed forward. (just to keep things simple).

if that's too inconvenient though, or that doesn't seem feasible, then i don't mind! i'll just make indy's pokemon evolve as we rp our IC days out. i just figured i'd ask tho xP sorry i don't mean to be a nuisance! let me know what you guys think!

If that's what you all want to do then go ahead. That doesn't mean Jack and Jill are going to sit around doing nothing however. If you take a week off, they'll put some distance between ya'll. Though, to be realistic, they too will have to take a break at some point.

Also, if the level gains are becoming unrealistically fast per day, I can start being more stingy with how much training it takes to level up. Just let me know.
@prettydrops

Also, remember for when Jack is in front of a crowd, as is the case here, he will put on a kind hearted gentlemanly front. If he insults Indigo, it would be in the form of a backhanded compliment or something subtle. He has an image to protect.
@prettydrops

Oh, and in the dramatization of the battle, be sure to accentuate the beauty of the battle more than the raw power displayed, in keeping with your character's contest oriented theme. You were probably already planning to do this, but just making sure. :)
But I was SO CLOSE lmao ugh balth i hate you :/ ngl, i figured id lose anyways but when i actually got close to winning... lmao

Good try though. At least you took down Mothim pretty easily, if that's a consolation.

All your Pokemon gain one level.
