FetzenReal quick, I'd just like to say, this is not a "Seven Deadly Sins" the anime remake. Though, admittedly, I'm sure its influence can be felt at times.
I am looking for three people to join me in a new RP. The story will be your typical adventure tale of powerful individuals having to come together to stop a common evil. Only, instead of noble heroes, we have more anti-heroes. Each one of them is as infamous for skill and power as they are for their respective sin. They are respected, feared, loved, and hated, all at the same time.
I have some decent plot ideas, but I'd rather not focus on that at the moment. I want this to be a character driven story (as good stories should be). So instead, I'd like to introduce the characters...
In this story, we will have seven powerful individuals that characterize the sins. I have not named these characters, assigned genders, or given them detailed backgrounds. I will leave those things to whoever claims whichever character.
Greed (The Gunslinger) This character is a firearms expert. They're probably a bounty hunter or were at some point. Basically, they are motivated by profit and not afraid to kill.
Lust (The Martial Artist) This character is master of the martial arts, practically all of them. Their skills are legendary, but so are their lustful ways.
Gluttony (The Brute) This character is large and in charge. They use their might to obtain all the things they desire: alcohol, food, money, and more. You don't want to grapple with them.
Wrath (The Berserker) This character is second in size only to the Brute. They have a hard time controlling their temper, and when they loose control, no one is safe.
Envy (The Mage) This character seeks to be the most powerful magic wielder. They are jealous of Angels, Demons, and any other being that was born with more magic affinity than them self.
Pride (The Angel) This character is a warrior angel, wielding divine might to smite those they deem unworthy. Passing judgments and acting on their own accord has gotten them in trouble.
Sloth (The Demon) This character is straight from the nether realms. They are quite powerful, but they've become bored over the centuries, and don't care much for their demonic responsibilities.
There you have it. I'm open to others tweaking and customizing what I've written, but only so much. I tried to be as vague as possible to allow wiggle room, while still laying down a skeleton.
So, as I said in the beginning of this post, I am looking for three writers to join this RP. Each writer will control two of these characters. I will take whichever character is left. Half of my posts will be that character and their actions. The other half of my posts will be plot moving posts.
Now, I'll go ahead and touch on some plot points.
We can begin this RP as soon as the first character sheet is up. That character will start off in the fictional city which I am working on behind the scenes at this moment. This city has a modern day, grungy feel. Technology and magic exist side by side here. Think, "What if the stories of the dark ages were true and continued over into today's time."
There will be an oppressive government, organized crime, and plenty of other dark themes. At the same time, there will be plenty of lighter themes such as sporting events, street festivals, and basically all the other distractions that give a city character.
As we progress, I will prod and probe some of my plot ideas until something sticks. Basically, I'll constantly be looking for ways to piss our main characters off and turn them against each other. While at the same time, I'll be presenting obstacles that can only be overcame by teaming up.
Finally, since I'm only accepting three people into this RP, I'm going to make my guidelines clear.
- First: I will be choosing my cast of role players tomorrow (Friday December 6th) before I go to bed.
- Second: I will only consider those that I feel confident in their writing skills. So if I haven't role played with you before (or in a long while), please link me to another roleplay where you were/are recently active.
- Third: I want everyone to commit to writing at least two posts per week. If this will be a challenge for you, don't reply.
- Fourth: In the same vein, I don't want anyone posting more than once per day or writing more than three large paragraphs per post. This is in the casual section for a reason.
