Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Round 1 Concludes!

The next match went fasts too. In one corner, there was a young girl who went by Ace. Trained from birth as a prodigy, she had only been fighting on the professional circuit for one year. She hardly ever took a hit due to her speed and reflexes. In other corner stood a very well known man indeed. Rocky (named after the famous movie) was the undisputed boxing champion of the world, also known for his speed and power.

Both contestants started off strong, but then Ace kicked it into another gear that Rocky couldn't match. Her hits found their mark with expert precision. It didn't help that his attacks were so predictable.

When it finally came time for the last match of round one, the crowd had long since forgotten how to sit down. They cheered as the contestants were introduced over the intercoms. First was Angel, the blonde girl behind the hood that nobody knew. Her opponent was a French man named Bonizo, another relatively unknown fighter. The crowd didn't know who to cheer for.

@Balthazar007 Sorry for not replying sooner, but yeah, I've just been waiting for my match.

That's fine by me. :)
@FalloutJack
Kyro tried an all out assault and failed miserably.

@Darkmoon Angel
After FalloutJack finishes up and I sum up the match before yours, then it will be your turn. You can still try to get a post in before then, since you haven't posted in a while. But you can just wait till your match too. It's up to you.

@BladeSS4
And of course you can post about what's happening too.

Eclipse vs Kyro

Kyro wasn't about to go down without a fight. He could tell that his opponent outclassed him physically, but so did master Micheal. Still, one wrong move, a little luck, and even men as powerful as these could be hit. All was not lost!

Then... it was.

His attack was avoided almost entirely. Eclipse's leg crashed into his gut, and his double handed strike to the back of his neck. Somewhere in it all, he managed to scrape Eclipse somewhere on his torso, but it was nothing more than a glancing blow. He fell to the ground unconscious.

Three paramedics came out with a stretcher and took Kyro out of the arena. The crowd's cheers came to a halt as everyone held their breath. The paramedics stopped just as they exited the arena so that Micheal could take a look at his bruised and bloodied student. He placed a hand on the boy's chest and closed his eyes, clearly saying a prayer. Then he signaled for the paramedics to keep going. As they walked away, he looked up into the ring, at Eclipse. The referee held up Eclipse's hand to signal him as the victor, but the crowd did not cheer. They seemed nervous about Micheal's reaction.

Finally, Micheal bowed in respect and walked away. Seeing this as a permission to cheer, the crowd came to life. They cheered long after Micheal was out of sight and didn't stop until shortly after Eclipse was gone as well.

Eclipse vs Kyro

The opening attack was over as quickly as it started. Kyro, had good form, but good wasn't going to cut it. Compared to his opponent, he was moving in slow motion. His attacks barely hit, and when they did, they only hit the parrying hand of his opponent. Eclipse, on the other hand, had no problems finding his mark.

Kyro wiped blood from his lip as his eyes became enraged. He charged at Eclipes much like before, only this time, he didn't act like he could out run his opponent. Nor did he look very prepared to defend himself. He was focused on one thing only, getting his fists to land, and hard.

Eclipse vs Kyro

Kyro confidently stretched as the two combatants waited for the referee's signal. His eyes stayed trained on Eclipse as he did so. He was already planning, running through scenarios in his mind.

Then the referee signaled with his hand for the two combatants to approach on another and bow. After their bow, he instructed them to take a couple steps backward, before taking many more steps backward himself to stay out of their way. Then, the gong rang true. The match began.

Kyro charged forward, eyes focused on his opponent.

@Darkmoon Angel
And you can post whenever. No rush though, since your match comes later.
@FalloutJack

It's your turn to post, whenever you get the time. We just need a time laps of what your character was doing/thinking up until his match. And you can end with him stepping into the arena.

Round 1 Continues!

Following Bakuto's epic victory, the tournament only got more intense from there...

The second match of Round 1 was between the two MMA world champions, a highly anticipated match indeed. Jackson, the champion of the men's division was the overall favorite, but his opponent Fantasia was not to be taken likely. In fact, despite the size difference between the two, the match was quite even. For every high powered move Jackson pulled out, Fantasia countered with blinding speed. Still, when Jackson's attacks did hit, they did more damage. In the end, it was Jackson by a hair.

The third match of Round 1 was between the King of Europe himself, the kickboxer named Wallace, and his opponent Lee, a relatively unknown martial artist from Asia. While Wallace had a larger fan base going into the match, there were rumors surrounding Lee, heroics about him saving small villages and towns from multiple invaders. At the beginning of the match, things seemed even, with both combatants going toe to toe, matching each other's moves almost perfectly. Then, all of a sudden, Lee struck Wallace with an attack that sent him flying out of the ring, even though his punch appeared to stop short a good foot in front of Wallace's chest.

The fourth match was the most highly anticipated match of the round, not because of the reputation of both fighters, but more so, the reputation of one, Micheal, the reigning champion. He had one the last two tournaments, making him the champion for ten years running. A master of every known martial art (as well as a few unknown ones), his name had become synonymous with victory. His opponent was Ivanik a mysterious fighter with a dark aura, rumored to be a killer. Their match began with a flurry of blows. Between Micheal switching between fighting styles and Ivanik's unpredictable yet calculated movements, this match was looking to be much closer than anticipated. That was until Micheal retreated to the corner of the ring in a mad dash. There, he took a deep breath with closed eyes. Ivanik tried to attack in this moment, but when his fist was mear inches from Micheal's face, the savvy champion moved his head just enough to avoid the attack and get in close for a dangerous match ending blow. Despite being hit multiple times, Micheal walked out of the arena without any signs of damage, while his opponent was left on the ground twitching.

After a brief intermission, the tournament continued with another highly anticipated match, the first, and only guaranteed, "girl fight". In one corner, Rica stood quietly, another mysterious martial artist. She was seen talking to Lee multiple times backstage. In fact, neither one of them spoke with anyone besides each other, but their conversations were always short and under hushed breaths, making their relationship as mysterious as themselves individually. Sammy, on the other hand, was a much more "known factor". She grew up with a dark past as a backroom cage fighter in the USA, eventually becoming a dangerous name on the international stage. Then, one day she retired from that life and began to use her skills to break up their dark industry she became so famous for. This match, between these two female warriors, was very intense, but again, it was the mysterious martial artists that won. Rica walked off the stage with many cuts and bruises, but at least she could walk.

And then there was the sixth match. In one corner, there was Niko, the wiry, relatively unknown youth with a hazy past. In the other corner stood Kyro, an up and coming legend in the martial arts world, following in the footsteps of his master... Micheal, the champion himself....
