Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

Dang @Darkmoon Angel! You had the RNG gods on your side that time. You rolled a 68 out of 70 for that attack!

Semi-Finals Round 2 !!

Angela waited patiently, studying Niko's movement's. It felt like minutes were passing as she coiled up, readying her strike. She would only get one chance at this.

Niko kept his eyes peeled for an opening as he dashed around the arena. He seemed, to have her out classed as far as how fast he could move his body, but something was off. Her eyes were only a split moment behind his movements.

Finally, Niko saw his opening. Or at least, he thought he did...

Angela caught Niko square in the chest again. Sure, she couldn't keep up with where he was at all times, but she found his pattern the pattern that even he didn't realize he was following. When he closed in for the kill, she closelined him hard.

Still, not one to go down without a fight, he managed to kick her hard in the gut on his way to the ground. The 'one-two' part of his combo had failed. The least he could to what hit the 'three' mark.
Also you two @FalloutJack@Darkmoon Angel,

Just like in a real life fight, there are no "taking turns". Just because Angela struck first to start the fight, doesn't mean that Niko can't be the first one to initiate this next fight. Whoever posts next, posts next; it's that simple.

Also, for future matches where I control a character, I'll keep my results post separate from my attacking posts. And I'll wait at least 24 hours between making a reaction post and an attacking post.

This also adds another level of depth to the fights. Making the first move means that your opponent gets to see your intentions first. BUT going first also means you might get the "slow reaction time" boost, if the other person doesn't reply quick enough.

Semi-Finals Round 2 !!

Niko's dodging maneuver didn't work as well as he would have liked. He was only able to change where her strike hit him. Instead of the gut, she hit him in the chest on the right side. At least he avoided getting the air knocked out of him.

However, his counter attack did also land. Just as he was getting hit in the chest, his leg caught her right leg just above the knee. Not only did this cause damage to her leg, but it also knocked her off balance, sending her for a tumble. Quick to react however, she was able to roll back onto her feet before Niko had a chance to capitalize.

This wasn't going to be easy for either combatant...
Okay everyone, @Darkmoon Angel@BladeSS4@FalloutJack,

I am going to make another adjustment, which I think will improve the way battles go drastically. Honestly, I don't know why I hadn't been doing it this way the whole time...

So, instead of your Power Level decreasing in correlational with your health decreasing, and instead of exhaustion effecting your health. Exhaustion now only effects your Power Level, not your Health, and this is the only way your Power Level decreases.

This should make you keep a closer eye on your Power Levels and Health won't drop so quickly. This also means that your characters now have two ways to loose. If either your Health or Power Level hits zero, your character will be unable to fight. Health hitting zero equals being knocked out. Power Levels hitting zero equal passing out due to fatigue. Either way, the end result is somewhat the same.

Edit: Power level hitting zero triumphs over health hitting zero. Meaning, if you use all your power but have health left, you will win the match if you lowered your opponent's health to zero. You will then promptly faint. If both fighter's hit zero health, whoever has a greater negative health looses. If both fighter's have health but hit zero Power, whoever has a greater negative Power Level (again) looses.

Nice posts. I'll respond in the morning
@Balthazar007 @Darkmoon Angel And the limit of time will only begin once we've officially started, correct? I've no trouble letting Darkmoon go first if that's the case, since the preceding post was mine.

You can wait for her post, but you don't have to. It's really on whoever wants to go first at this point.
Here we go, @FalloutJack@Darkmoon Angel

I made a quick setup post. Whoever wants to start the match may go ahead and do so. Sound the gong and begin. I will chime in every third post to calculate damage and such.

Semi-Finals Round 2 !!

The time had come. The last round of the semi-finals were about to begin. Nico Renzo (aka Eclipse) versus Angela Peirs (aka Angel), despite gender differences, the two were remarkably well matched. What Eclipse perhaps had over Angel in technique and natural ability, Angel more than made up for in grit and talents of her own.

In either case, one of them would be going on to face Bakuto, and it would be the battle of the century. Speed vs Strength. Willpower vs Training. Hair vs No Hair.

Trumpets sounded, signaling for the two fighters to emerge from the holding building. They walked out side by side and took their places across from one another. The crowd's cheering softened as everyone listened for the gong, to signal the beginning of the match.

Yes, only one.
