The snow of the Alps reflected so much sunlight during this time of year. Sunglasses were pretty much essential at this time of year, and especially up at this altitude. Elizabeth Dorian had found herself in a helicopter somewhere in Europe. To think that she was just a snowboarding and ski teacher a few years ago up in Canada. And now, she was sitting in a helicopter with GoPros attached everywhere. It was a definitely surreal experience.

Nearing the dropzone, Ellie put her sunglasses away and prepped her goggles, which were resting on her helmet. Looking down at the fresh, powdery snow, a smile parted her lips as she knew how sick the carves would be. Her Arbor snowboard dangled off the edge of the helicopter, a white Aperture snowboard jacket and black snowboarding pants completing her outfit for the day. With all the GoPros that were hooked up to every single thing that had a strap, they were bound to get some sick shots for sure. Ellie was eager to get on the snow and get going.

Once the helicopter dropped them off, Ellie took a moment to put her goggles on, before looking at Seb and flashing him a smile. "Let's go!" She beamed, before wiggling to get herself some traction. This felt like some of the peaks that she had carved in back in Canada, but the view was much, much better than anything else. All you could see were the beautiful Swiss Alps and nothing but pure white snow. Ellie started to roll forward and the going started to go.

Lowering her stance, Ellie felt the snow kick up beneath her and some of it even spraying onto her face as she collected speed. She started going in a serpentine pattern as she carved down the snow. Finding a little hill of snow to jump off of, Ellie changed directions so that she could fly off the hill and do something cool. Climbing up the hill, Ellie lowered her stance even more before flying off the peak of the hill. She grabbed her snowboard and did a 360, before landing pointing the right direction. She continued to carve, now observing Seb to see what sort of cool trick he'd be able to pull off.
Ellie soared through the sky, the wind blowing through the hair that was hanging from the helmet as she kept an eye on the objects in front of her. She had a big smile on her face, her body splayed as if she was a bird and soaring through Los Angeles airspace. From the look of things, it looked like she wouldn't be winning anyway. The car Kimberly drove had the ability to accelerate like a bat straight out of hell. It would only be seconds before this would finally be over, and they'd have to figure out a way to get the hell out of there before cops got all over them.

The distance between her and ground started to get closer and closer, and Ellie's internal altimeter was starting to go off. She had to pull the parachute eventually, and take the inevitable loss. Flaring off the speed, she shot a little upwards, before pulling the chute and safely floating back down to the Earth, where man was supposed to be. She put her feet on the ground and ran forward as her parachute lowered, before collecting it and running toward Kimberly's Impreza after hearing some sirens.

Kimberly simply held her right foot down as hard as she could as she sprinted down the streets of Los Angeles. The flat-four rumbled the streets of Los Angeles, and if anyone were within a block radius they could hear it without a doubt. The engine was just that loud. She kept watch on the two folks high up in the sky above her, making sure she was ahead of them and taking another win home today. They might've reached terminal velocity, whereas her car only kept going.

Watching the parachutes open, Kimberly slammed on the brakes and pulled over, before trying her absolute best to locate Ellie and Seb. She could already hear sirens and that meant they needed to get away as fast as possible before things got a little rocky. Kimberly reached over and opened the door for either person, waiting for them to get in as fast as possible so she could retreat into an alley and hide. If they got away fast enough they would be able to have a clean getaway.

This time, she had Ellie in her car. The Scottish-Canadian jumped in and tossed her parachute pack in the backseat. As soon as the door shut, Kimberly took off. But this time, she was careful with the amount of throttle she used. With how quiet it was right now, any sound could've given away their position. She was very deliberate with her gear selection, actually choosing to go at lower speeds and avoiding main streets so that the cops wouldn't be suspicious at all.

Ross's approach was entirely unnecessary, honestly. Kimberly kept calm and turned into an alley like it was nothing. Finding a little sublet, she turned the car into there and turned it off, going completely dark as she heard sirens get closer and closer. They wouldn't think to check down this alley at all. Kimberly sighed and lied back in her seat, looking up at the dark LA sky. She got on the radio. "Yo, we're clear over here. I'll see you back home."

After a twenty minute wait, Kimberly turned the car back on and proceeded on the way back to her house, knowing that as long as they played it cool and Ellie had a good enough disguise, then they'd be able to go home scot-free.
Kimberly followed Ross down the stairs and walked into the weirdest conversation she had ever heard. Apparently, Ellie and Seb were planning something very, very weird, but at the same time Kimberly lowkey wanted in. Jumping off the top of a building and flying down at terminal velocity was something that instilled fear into the driver, but she wanted to see Ellie do her thing in person. She got a front row view of what she did best, so it was only fair that she got to see what she did best up close too.

Coming up behind the couch, Kimberly raised an eyebrow after hearing a slight glimpse of the conversation. "You're telling me that you guys are gonna jump off somewhere?" Kimberly lowered herself on the couch, "Count me in."

The fact that things had gone so smoothly this far into the "operation" was a miracle. The security guard didn't even look twice at the fact that two people showed up in the middle of the night just checking the place out. Maybe he didn't feel like dealing with it, or maybe just didn't care enough. Either way, things were going surprisingly smoothly and Ellie wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Seb was rambling on about something and Ellie had spaced out, following behind him and looking around. The building looked just like any building under construction would. Which was good, meant there was probably a floor that would be perfect for them to jump off of. Without any context, that might've sounded bad. But, it just proved how wild the things that Ellie and Seb did were. They were a different breed. For whatever reason, the part of their brain that screamed danger didn't seem to work. Instead, they embraced the danger and harnessed it into fun.

Arriving at the top, Ellie set down her disguise and placed it somewhere it wouldn't be found until way down the line. She started unpacking her white and gold suit. It always took a while to put on her suit, but it was all worth it. The tediousness was there for a reason. She couldn't afford to make any errors when it came to preparation. It would be next-to-impossible to survive a fall from the heights they would be on. She made sure every strap was secured and every single bit failsafe was operational. For such a dangerous activity, there sure was a lot of precaution.

After checking Seb and having Seb check her, they were all pretty much set. The GoPro was on and the helmet was in her arms as Seb signaled for the drivers down below. Putting her helmet on, she stepped up on the window and looked down below, hearing tires screeching and the sound of engines bellowing down below. She looked down at her watch, counting down the thirty seconds it would take before she was able to go flying and race the cars down below.

Kimberly's famed STi hatchback was sitting along a sidewalk somewhere near wherever Ellie and Seb had gone. Kimberly was leaning against the B-pillar of her car, going on her phone with a song playing through the car's speakers. Any minute now, the two could've come on the radio and given them the go. Kimberly provided the walkie talkies, which had an incredible amount of range. For the time being, both she and Ross were chilling downstairs. It had been a while since she had been able to use her car like this. Prior to today it had just been sitting in the garage collecting dust while she favored other vehicles. Now, she was using it in a race which was beyond great.

However, the two were taking forever to get set up and Kimberly was starting to get slightly impatient. She was tapping the clutch pedal with her foot, anxious to get going already. Despite the all the racing she had done today, she was still ready to do some more and get the show on the road. Suddenly, Kimberly heard some feedback on the walkie talkie and she got a little startled. Seb came on the radio and told them that they'd be getting their head-start now. Kimberly smiled and put the car into gear, before peeling off and darting down the street like they were told to. The song changed accordingly to fit the mood.

After thirty seconds had passed, Ellie looked back at Seb and gave a thumbs up, before jumping out and spreading herself out so that she would be able to catch the air underneath her. And soon enough, she was flying through the streets of LA, tearing through the air in between buildings as if she was a living jet. Ross and Kimberly's cars were the only two cars around at this time of night, so soon enough, would she be able to catch up to them.
To quote a famed Orangutan, Kimberly was finally across the line and had officially won the race. Crossing the line, Kimberly hit the brakes and turned the car around, pointing toward the other cars which had just arrived. The female racer had a huge smile on her face, fumbling the buckle on her harness as she clambered out of the car and proceeded to reap the benefits of her victory. It had been a nice addition to Kimberly's racing career, to be able to win a race as big as this.

She stepped onto asphalt and was greeted by a figure emerging out of a totally innocent looking murdered-out Mercedes Benz GL63. Kimberly glanced toward Ross as the individual gestured toward the SUV. This was a little shadier than she thought, but she told the individual to wait for just a second as she celebrated for her husband. She ran up to Ross, jumping up onto him and planting a kiss on his lips. "I did it! Holy shit!" She cheered, embracing him. The fact that Ross was somehow managing to hold onto her 5'11" ~150 lb frame was something amazing, but the fact that she won this whole thing was even better. Getting off of him, she looked toward the suited individual. "I'll be right back." She said, getting off of Ross and awkwardly jogging toward the individual. The sound of cars coming to see that the race had been won already was amusing to the winner.

She stepped inside the Mercedes SUV, where a female figure was sitting in the seat next to her with a bag beside her leg. Kimberly sat down on the rather comfortable leather seat, and the female figure put a hand out to shake the winner's hand. Kimberly complied, and then the female figure began speaking.

"Hello Mrs. Rossi. It's come to my attention that you, out of all the people who have entered this race, have won it all. Of course, those efforts will be rewarded." The woman pulled up a laptop and popped, revealing something very, very nice inside. "$10 million dollars, all in a Swiss bank account with your name on it. I know that you and your husband will enjoy this nicely." She smiled, closing the laptop and moving them toward Kimberly. "I know how the United States is stingy with these things, so we've took the liberty of pulling our own strings and associating the account with you. However, Mrs. Rossi, I do have an interesting offer for you, too. I've got to be frank with you, this race wasn't organized by us just for fun." She chuckled, "I have a job that needs to be done in Las Vegas, and you and your husband have the skills that I want in my drivers. If you choose to participate, I can assure you that you will be rewarded handsomely. Much more handsomely than this race."

Kimberly looked at the lady and down at the bag. On the first hand, ten million dollars was enough for the rest of their life. But... if they were to get more of that, then they'd be able to move somewhere very nice and be able to live a very, very comfortable life with everything they could've ever asked for. Kimberly looked down at the suitcase once again. "It's okay if you don't want to participate, but I urge you to take up my offer. I'll give you time to think about this. I will follow up with a text message tonight." The lady's lips parted to a smile, "Enjoy, Mrs. Rossi."

"What do you think's happening in there?" Ellie asked curiously, after Kimberly had entered the SUV. "I've seen many movies, and that means something fishy is happenin'." She sat down on the ground in front of the RX-7, before seeing Seb walk over to the car as well. Ellie reached up and pulled him down, wanting him to sit next to her. "That was fun, wasn't it?" She smiled, "I mean, I think you got quite a ride. We were on your tail and it was just intense the whole way. Pedal to the metal." Ellie chuckled, "You're okay, though, right? Ross's car kinda hurt my back but I'll be okay."

Looking up to Ross, Ellie put her arms up and pulled him down as well. "How ya feelin'? How does it feel to lose to your wife?" She laughed, "Don't feel too good, does it?" Ellie was being a little harsh, but it was all in good nature. "At least she's nice enough to share the prize money. I hope."

Kimberly disembarked from the SUV with nothing in her hands, walking over to the sitting trio. She sat down next to Ross, putting a hand up over her mouth as she whispered. "Ten million in a Swiss account. But there's a little something that the lady told me... and I'd prefer to talk about it once we go home." She trailed, before she backed away, a smile returning to her lips. "I'm a winner, and you're a loser." The teasing began now, and it wouldn't end for a long time.

A few hours had passed, and everyone was at the Rossi household. Kimberly had hooked up the Swiss account to her and wired some of it to her checking account already, and they were celebrating with some very expensive catering. However, Kimberly and Ross were in their bedroom, where Kimberly was sitting on their bed and about to break some news to Ross.

"So... the lady in the SUV told me the most interesting offer. She said she had a job for us in Las Vegas, and she told me that the reward we'd be getting would be way more than what I got today." Kimberly looked down at her phone, and then back at Ross. "I got a feeling it's one of those heist type of deals, y'know? But, if we sign on and we get it done, we don't have to worry about money for the rest of our lives, Mia's life, and her child's life. But at the same time... if it goes down south, we may never see Mia ever again." Kimberly put her face in her palms. "I really don't know, babe. What do you think?"
The flight from Vancouver to Philadelphia was not exactly the smoothest of flights, to say the least. Charlotte was expecting easy skies and something smooth from the journey, but she was very wrong. Needless to say, Charlotte was very eager to get to the studio and start coming up with some stuff she could use for her upcoming EP.

Her rental car pulled into the parking lot for the bar, the local radio pounding whatever Top 40 hit they felt like playing. Charlotte wasn't entirely fond of this hit, but it was better than driving around in silence. Exiting the car, she grabbed her backpack and set out for the bar. Her backpack had only the essentials: her laptop, her MIDI pad, and a pair of her favorite earphones. It wasn't what she wanted, with her full setup a county away, but it had to do for now. She couldn't afford to move to Philadelphia just yet, so she had to rely on going back and forth for the time being.

This was the first time she'd actually been into the recording studios since she had signed with the record company. And based off of the sign hanging on the door, it didn't look like she was going to be getting any help soon. She walked into the bar, finding one person nearby working on his own project. She could hear some other people, but since she wasn't exactly aware of where things were, she had to make do at one of the booths.

Sliding into a booth, Charlotte got set up as she placed her backpack on the seat next to her and proceeded to get set up. She couldn't exactly find a power outlet anywhere near, but that was a bridge she'd cross when she got there. The MacBook Pro flashed to life as she logged in and opened up Logic Pro X. Being the cool application it was, it opened up to her previously saved project and Charlotte got to work from there. She put on her headphones and immediately started to tap buttons on her keyboard and touchpad to make tweaks here and there.
Cassie cursed to herself as she found out that she wouldn't exactly be lifted out of this bucket. A lot more climbing would be involved, and with Cassie's now injured leg, things were going to get a little more difficult. Looking up at the sky, she was trying to figure out a way to get herself enough momentum to lift herself out of the bucket. Taking into account the surfaces she was surrounded by and the given situation regarding her body, she had to suck it up and get herself out by doing some Houdini-like magic and acrobatics.

Taking a page out of Sam Fisher's book, Cassie backed up a little bit, giving herself enough room to get some speed. Just putting weight on her left leg hurt, but she'd have to suck it up and get through it. She started running toward a corner, before leaping toward it as high as she could. As she reached the apex of her jump, she put her legs out and stopped the jump in the corner. The corner wasn't big enough for her to completely extend her legs, but she could utilize it somewhere else instead. Adjusting the position of her legs, she pushed herself up high enough to reach the edge.

Cassie finally pulled herself out of the bucket and landed on the platform. Hobbling over to the ladder, she was happy to see that it was the kind of ladder you could slide down on. Sliding down the ladder, Cassie resituated herself on the platform below, before a blessing in the form of an elevator. She smiled to herself, hobbling over to the lift and having it bring her to the ground. As she leaned against the wall in the lift, she pulled out the pistol that fired actual bullets and checked just how much ammo she had left. One in the chamber, and the magazine felt full. Perfect.

As the lift arrived on the ground, Cassie pointed her pistol and made sure the scene was clear. The garage was right in front of her so it was not going to be a hard trip. Since it was clear, she just made her way to the garage. Walking straight into the elevator room, she was happy to see that the room was vacant. There was a camera, but Cassie took care of it before it could turn to see her. After a few mundane minutes later, she was where Lancaster was supposed to meet her. She was sitting against a bollard, waiting for Lancaster's lazy ass to arrive.
I'll have a post up by Monday at the very latest.
Yo yo yo how does a modern slice of life RP sound?

As Kimberly made her entrance into the garage, sparks flying out from underneath the car as the underside made contact with the asphalt of the parking garage. In here, all she could hear were the roaring of engines. She could hear her Coyote, the rotary right on the tail, and the unmistakable sound of a Mitsubishi 4G63 nearby. Apparently, someone had a similar idea. Placing her hand on her gear lever, she prepared to shift down to push more power if it came down to the inevitable. She didn't want it to come, but she was ready to make a decision should it come.

Eyeing the Mitsubishi, it showed no signs of letting off. Getting a closer look at it, it was tricked out to the teeth. Full aerodynamic bodykit. Not time attack level, but still a significant amount for a street car. Looking at the ramp to the floor above, she saw the Mitsubishi get closer and closer out the corner of her eye. It still showed no signs of backing down, and before the both of them knew it,it had become a game of chicken. It wasn't head to head, though. Instead of a head-on crash, someone was going to be t-boned. The Mustang got closer to the ramp, and the Mitsubishi was daring to shoot the gap. Kimberly was doing calculations in the head, figuring out how much throttle she would need to commit to closing the gap, and how hard she should slam on the brakes to give up the gap. She continued to glance at the Evo IX to her side, still doing calculations in her head.

It was decided. Kimberly Emily Rossi was going to close the gap, and she hoped to god Seb was on for the ride. Her right hand tensed on the gear lever as she prepared to drop down a gear. Hearing the Evo's engine get louder and louder, she was waiting for the right time to shift down and floor it up the ramp. She held on, watching the ramp get closer and closer, and crossing into the point of no return. The Mitsubishi had committed to shooting the gap. If Kimberly's calculations were right, this would allow her to be able to go up the ramp while creating enough space and time behind her for her to fit in right behind her. Ross, unfortunately, would be dropped down a spot should this work.

Pressing the clutch in and blipping the throttle, Kimberly pulled the gear lever toward her, dropping a gear as she let go of the clutch and floored it. The sudden surge of power and torque caused the tires to squeal as the car shot forward and went up the ramp. The Mitsubishi fit into the gap behind her. If the arrangement of the garage was traditional, then the ramp should be right behind this one, which would prompt a very wide drift just to get the car around quick enough. As the Mustang emerged onto the second floor, she whipped the wheel to one side, before countersteering quickly to get the car's rear loose. Feeling it slide, Kimberly held a constant angle as the Mustang went wider and wider, seeing the ramp going up once again as she continued to slide to the next ramp. The Evo couldn't slide so it just had to take a wider line. She didn't know what Ross was doing, nor did she care.

Either way, the prize money would be split between them anyway. A significant portion would be put away for their familial purposes, whether it be for their kid's college fund, future endeavors, or even preparing for more children in the future. But what was at stake here was bragging rights. If Kimberly won, then she would be able to make fun of her husband, and vice versa. Both of them were driving new cars, and they were looking to see which of their projects were better. Simple as that.

Finishing her drift and shooting up the next ramp, Kimberly anticipated two more floors of this before the finish line was in sight. More and more drifting, and more and more rubber being burnt. Kimberly repeated the drifting line two more times. She couldn't care less about how Seb was feeling, either. If he was nauseous- tough luck for him, it was the price you had to pay for a victory. Soon enough, Kimberly was on the top floor, seeing two ominous looking Audi RS7s parked around a line for one car. From the look of things, it was a mad dash between whoever was behind her and her own car. She floored it and shot toward the finish line, hoping she would take the victory home.
