When you are so emotional you are close to dropping from every rp you are in just so people won't have to deal with you anymore

When a character that meant something to you gets torn down and thrown away like trash... 😢

@BlackPanther That character was not 'turned' but 'born' from a shell in his kingdom. If it is a part of their DNA (they were not turned) then some body parts may be capable of morphing. I allowed it for that character and I will allowed it for a few others, but most of the characters will be humans who were 'turned'.

@wolverbells Me too. This guy ^ is an awesome writer.

I am working on a post as we speak. If anyone would like to interact with either of my characters, let me know and I will include meeting them in my post.
@BlackPanther
I'm sorry but no, that would fall under the realm of magic and the only magic mermen have is turning people. Not saying the mermaids can do it either, their magic is limited.
@BlackPanther Awesome! I've missed rping with you!

I was told there were some questions about how a person is 'turned'. Well put simply it is magic, a magic that all merpeople possess the create more of their people. But this magic is very taxing so it can't be done too much in a lifetime. This is the only type of magic mermen have, but it is one of a number of the magical talents of the mermaids.

And, as my true love is fond of saying : all magic comes at a price. It uses up the life force of the Shellan (mermaid) or Hellran (merman) to turn someone. Do it too many times and you yourself will die.
@SunsetRoses it's okay. I look forward to seeing your CS. We will be accepting for a while
@WilsonTurner
Yeah I thought that too and decided to include it for a joke. Stupid I know but I couldn't help myself. My inner child controls me.
And it's okay to stalk the rp. I am still stalking the Prized Bride rp, waiting for an opening. Lol
@CharmingDevil
I'll pm you about it
Sorry for the triple post, but I wanted everyone to know that the IC is officially up for anyone who wants to post. We have six people (seven once AsgardianLord19 finishes his character) I think that's enough to get us started and hopefully more people will join.
Light rippled through the cool blue water, creating a dazzling effect on the underwater world. Arys, a white haired mermaid, swam along the reef, the sunlight glinting off of her purple and blue tail. The white dots on her fluke looked almost like pearls.
Some of the coral was broken and white, having died. Arys shook her head. The legacy of humans : destruction and decay. Fortunately one section was not completely gone yet. Placing her hand upon the coral, she closed her eyes as the healing power flowed from her heart down her arm and into her hand. The coral slowly returned to it's vibrant state, once again alive and healthy. It would shelter and feed the various creatures along the reef.

Always give. Only take what was needed. Preserve and protect. Those were the words the mermaids lived by.
Humans. Mermaids were forbidden contact with them unless searching for a new sister. Which would be soon, since Mailyn had passed on. It still hurt her heart to think of the ancient mermaid. She had been Arys' Shellan, the one who had rescued her from her dreadful life as a human and made her reborn as a creature of the sea. Arys remembered nothing from her former life and for that she was grateful to the Moon Goddess.
Humans were selfish and dangerous, her Shellan had always said. Especially the males. But any mermaid would rather deal with a male human than... the monsters...

Arys shivered despite the warmth of the water. Mermen. Ravenous bloodthirsty monsters. Selfish blackhearted beasts. They took and took and ravaged and destroyed until there was nothing left, then moved on to do the same thing again. It was a miracle that they hadn't succeeded in completely destroying the sea. Mermaids used to be as plentiful as the fish of the sea, but now thanks to having to hide from the mermen there were few left. Arys herself, in all of her years, had never seen another mermaid outside of her own pod.

Arys picked up a large conch shell and ran her hands over it idly. She couldn't shake the uneasy feeling she had. There was a disturbance in the waters, like a storm was approaching...
She'd have to warn her sisters. They would need to take shelter. Hopefully the storm would pass before the turtles hatched. Her pod needed to be there, to make sure that as many hatchlings as possible made it to the protection of the reef before moving to the open sea.
Okay I think I got everyone into the character list in the second OOC post. Just so we can keep track of who is who with a quick glance. I added people that I approved but who haven't posted their character to the character tab yet.

@AsgardianLord19 I'll add you as soon as you finish your CS so I can review it.
@Classpet Great! That was why I made him and Arys siblings, because they are opposites. I wanted to illustrate how the merpeople are all two halves of a whole. Kayn's rage comes from that he wants to find his sister but since he can't remember her or that he even has a sister his rage is constant and can't be calmed.
