Anyway, her mother was the former Winter Queen. When she passed on Arys fought for and took the throne from her murderous cousins, who she then froze solid. They are several of the frozen corpses that decorate her hall.
She is young for a fae, not having been ruling that long. About 500 years or so, give or take a century. But she herself is around 1200 years old, again give or take a few years.

True Name : Aryssyla Te'GarNegan

Race: Ice Faery

Position: Queen of the Winter Court

Age: around 1200 or so, very young for a fae ruler

Personality: As cold as the Winter wind. Arys can give the impression of warmth and interest, but it is a façade. Her heart froze long ago. And you know the saying "beware the frozen heart"? That phrase was created by those who have had dealings with her. Her beauty and fair smile is a mask she wears well. The fae that call the Winter Realm home are terrified of their Queen. She rarely gives out rewards, instead declaring that your continued existence is reward enough. Her great hall is adorned with the frozen corpses of those who have either failed her or wronged her, their faces contorted in agony for eternity. She has a short memory for some things, and a LONG memory for others.
Despite her cold demeanor Arys is still every inch a Queen : regal and graceful, never vulgar or crude in her speech or actions.

Background: Arys was born from a Snow Owl and an Ice Spirit. She has been ruling for about 500 years, making her the youngest and most inexperienced ruler of the courts. Her mother was the former Winter Queen. When she passed on Arys fought for and took the throne from her murderous cousins, who she then froze solid. There are few who remember the time before her heart froze. She used to be happy and kind, her beauty and grace unmatched in any of the realms. But a lost romance saw to that quickly enough. She fell in love with a fae who did not love her back. Heartbroken and spurned, Arys froze her own heart in her chest declaring she would never allow it to be used against her again. Her subjects have suffered as well, bearing the frozen fury of their Queen. None have dared speak of the instance again.
Arys keeps to herself now. The only time those outside of the Winter Realm see her is during meetings of the Rulers.

Age: 4
Personality: curious, playful, giggly, cuddly, scared of spiders and doesn't like cold because it kills the pretty flowers. She doesn't really understand why everyone is so worried and serious, but as long as her keeper is there for her then she will not worry.
Background: A woman was desperate. She longed for a child to call her own, but years went by and it seemed she was barren. As a last resort, she petitioned a Fae using an ancient ritual. The Fae granted the human woman her wish to have a child. When the woman discovered she was pregnant she was overjoyed and spent months fixing everything perfectly for her child. Finally she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, with hair like spun gold and crystal blue eyes.
To the woman's horror the day the child was weaned the Fae appeared again, this time to claim the child as theirs. The woman, so desperate to have her wish come true, had failed to comprehend the details of the deal : the deal was the HAVE a child, not KEEP the child.
Heartbroken, the woman handed over her precious baby and then killed herself in grief.
That baby has now grown into a beautiful precious child : Lyra, the human pet of the Summer King Feoras

I wanted to make her the youngest so I guess that would depend on how old everyone else is. I was talking about it with @LadyRunic so I will post it here once we make a clear decision. I don't remember how thrones are passed (if from parent to child or if they were taken by force). All I can say is that it's been long four days at work and I will have to get my head on straight again. I am leaning towards her earning the right to the throne from another, possibly a family member, but whatever will work best for the world and the story is what I will go with.

I just finished my description of the Winter Realm and am waiting on a review from Lady Runic to see if I need to correct anything.

@Prince of Seraphs I loved OUATIW, especially how they did the Jabberwocky! She and the Red Queen were my fav characters.

I was planning on making Aryssyla fairly young for a ruler fae, younger than the other rulers. She and Feoras are at war right now so if Falk approached her with a plan to take down make things difficult for Summer she would probably be on board with it.
