This is a roleplay I did several years ago that I wanted to try again, but alter it slightly.
A tropical island is the setting, with a group of people who love animals and the ocean. They have built a sanctuary for injured and ill marine life. There the animals are cared for until they are healthy enough to be released back into the wild.
The supernatural element will be creatures, merpeople or gods or werewolves or whatever you want, coming to or already living on or near the island that get involved with things going on there.
A businessman wants the island for himself, to plunder its riches for his own greed. He will do anything to drive the team off. But that is not their only threat. Storms, mysterious illnesses, low supplies, loss of animals... all of this and more will plague the team and the choices players make will influence whether the animals in their care and the sanctuary itself survives or fails.
A movie producer once said "believable, not realistic". That is essentially how this rp will work. The location of the island is described as 'tropical' because no specific location will be decided. That way we are not restricted as to the kinds of animals we will be able to rescue (except you know, no polar bears and such). Also by not listing a specific region of the world, laws of different countries will not apply either.
This rp will be focused on character development and very story driven.
If you would like to play our villain please pm me with your ideas of who he/she will be. If no one wants the job I can pull the strings on the villain myself.
We will have a small group of several specialists focusing on either animal care, maintenance, computers and supplies or security.
Please let me know below if this would interest you and any ideas you may have that could be included. If you would like to apply as Co-GM or would like your character to have a preset relationship with mine (who will be a female marine vet) please pm me.

Bio : Jessalyn was working as a prep cook when the outbreak happened. Her and her boyfriend lasted quite a while before she got pregnant. They were captured by raiders and her boyfriend was killed. The stress from it caused Jess to miscarry. Jess worked for the raiders until she saw an opportunity to let the walkers into the camp. She escaped to sounds of carnage. Now she lives in dilapidated school bus half buried in the side of a building.

Personality : adorable and uses it, not trustworthy at all, she can't really fight, but she can hide like nobody's business.
Brief Bio : Katie was left on her own after her school was attacked and she saw most of her classmates and teachers torn to pieces. She uses her cuteness to lull people into a false sense of security before stealing anything she can carry and taking off. Since she is small she is hard to find once she runs.

I had to remake this rp since I accidentally used an old account that I no longer wish to use. To be clear : Myst was my old account that I abandoned. Belle is the account I will be using from now on.
So this is a walking dead style rp. There will be action and gore and zombie killing, but mostly this will be about the twists and turns, the drama, the heartache and the joy of moral decisions that have both good and bad consequences.
Everything you do and say will have consequences further down the line. The walker you killed yesterday was actually the mother of the person you met today. That guy you refused to give food? He came back as a walker and killed your best friend. That little boy you helped? He came back with a large group to steal your supplies. Each choice is life and death. Don't ever get too comfortable, because you never know when things will go to hell.
So this is actually an RP I had from five years ago. It was my most successful and long lasting rp. I took a VERY long hiatus from rpg because of family and health issues. I have been wanting to return for a while now but this quarantine period has finally given me the time I need to return. I figure this is a fitting rp to return with.
The previous rp was set in Louisiana. I think I may set this one in Florida, somewhere on the coast or close to the Everglades. This will be a year after the outbreak started.
Rules :
1. No fighting in the OOC or Chat. I mean it. You get one warning, then your characters gets killed off and you are banned from the rp.
2. No overpowered characters. It's okay to have weapons, but not everyone is survival trained and can make a rocket launcher with a pocket knife, some string and a potato. Be realistic with your characters skills and their weapons.
3. Gore is fine, but romance (if there is any during a zombie apocalypse) goes to PM. Anything above kissing goes to PM.
4. Killing of characters must be agreed upon.
5. All ideas are welcome! If you have any ideas for major plot-related ideas, characters. locations, etc. then please PM either myself or my Co-GM(s).
6. Before making any game changing decisions please pm me to ask or discuss it in the OOC before posting it. This does not mean I need to make every decision for you, but MAJOR plot twists need to be approved by either me or my Co-GM (once I get one).
7. You can have as many characters as you can handle. Do not ignore anyone and post regularly. If you can't post for a couple of days, let us know so we can move around your character. If you do not post in the IC or OOC for a significant amount of time, then your character will be made an NPC and likely become a walker. If you want to return after that, you can make another character.
8. In that same vein, if you've been in the rp for some time and decide you want to go, the option for your character to become an NPC is there in case you ever return. Though NPCs are more likely to be killed off, the character just may be alive when you come back.
9. It might seem strange to have this rule but I have run into problems with this in the past so I am going to say it right off : NO ONE IS IMMUNE. This is not "The Last of Us" this is a "The Walking Dead" rp. There is no cure and there is no immunity to the zombie virus. Everyone already has it. Your character can be working on a cure, but that is all.
10. Please follow the posting rule (see below) If you do not, your post will be ignored.
11. I reserve the right to add more rules if needed.
