@PrewigaYeah, but why would someone do that experiment when you have a means of becoming an animal hybrid at will? It kind of seems like a waste of resources, right? Caesar Clown wanted to make artificial Devil Fruits, for example, not splice people with animal parts, since it would be inferior to what was already available.

Also, are there going to be any "normalish" people my character can pick up in the blues besides Taimi? Because so far, the most normal person has been the kid super genius in the robo-barrel. :P

Not EVERY Strawhat was super-weird. In fact, only Chopper, Franky and Brook could be said to fit that. Where's the Zoro, Sanji, Ussop and Nami?
@Prewiga@Asura Okay, let's see, where to start...

Asura, a Mink wouldn't be encountered until Paradise at least, more than likely. I don't imagine one being in the Cardinal Blues, where they would be viewed as a monster like Chopper was (and Drum Island was in Paradise!).

Prewiga...what? >.>

There's magical fruits that literally turn people INTO animals in the series, why? XD
@PrewigaSorry, I missed your post. I'll tell you the ones who would be common knowledge.

Basically, the original Big Mom, Beast and Blackbeard pirates have been replaced. There are new Yonko in their place, with the Red Hair pirates being the only one from the older generation to remain.

The new Yonko are: The Barto World Pirates (ruling from their massive, Strawhat themed amusement park in the New World), The Kid Pirates, known for their psychotic rampages and even more unstable Captain, and the new Big Mom pirates under Smoothie.
@Rin ...Wow, I actually REALLY love that character! Like, a ton. @_@

Reading your profile and all that she can do, she reminds me of how Dr. Vegapunk was described as a kid during Franky's side story during Marineford, and it doesn't get much cooler than sailing around with Kid Vegapunk!

Approved!

That being said, everyone else, this will be the ONLY kid on the crew. While it's unique and cool for one person to do it, if everyone did it, it would not only diminish one of the things that makes Taimi interesting, it would also start feeling ridiculous in a bad way.
@alexfangtalonAgain, that age range isn't bad. 17 - 19 is perfectly fine.

Just keep in mind guys, One Piece is kind of unique among Shonen for having most of its characters be adults, rather than little brats running around screaming "BELIEVE IT!" or whatever. :3
@ZapdosI would prefer a good range of ages myself, like the Strawhats have. I'd feel like I was in a YA novel if I was sailing around with a bunch of fifteen/sixteen year old's. :P

Nineteen is good, though, for your character.
@AsuraIt's not required, no.

Also, guys...I'm okay with like ONE character being a young teen, but I don't want to end up with a crew full of them. My character is eighteen, but that doesn't mean she's a babysitter. :P

So yes, ONE character can be like Chopper's age or something, and since Rin was the one who had that idea first, she gets dibs.
@ZapdosYour character could gain the fruit at later time, when Logia wouldn't be so untouchable. My character uses Fishman Karate so a fire logia wouldn't be an unbeatable opponent for her, but any other enemy we fought early on wouldn't have much of a defense against it.
Oh, one other thing I forgot to say: no D's besides my character, please. The thing about people with the Will of D is that they don't really like "following" others. They're inherently leaders who, when pirates, form their own crew. The only exception was Ace, and he had to fail at killing Whitebeard a thousand times before he would submit. Garp, while a Marine, refused promotion to Admiral because it would mean less freedom for him due to having to be at the beck and call of the World Nobles. Law only followed Doflamingo as a child, etc.

Since we're all in one crew, I think it's important to not have too many chefs in the kitchen, so to speak.
