At first, he was happy the attack hit for a second time, but that quickly turned from happiness into despair quickly. The gym leader told his pokemon to use Smack Down. A rock move that could prove very bad for Ninjask. Not only because his pokemon is a bug type, but because the move would remove his pokemon's advantage against ground type moves as well. Instinctively Bakuto yells to Ninjask, "Avoid it Ninjask!"

Ninjask tries to avoid the move with its speed. It looked like it would, but gets clipped by the move. Ninjask is smacked into the ground. Even a glancing blow was super effective against Ninjask. The pokemon fights to get back up, fighting not to faint just from the move that hit it. Ninjask regains somewhat of a balance but it was hurt. It says its name wanting to keep fighting, Bakuto calls with the pokeball that he pulled out, "Ninjask Return!" The red light envelops the flying bug pokemon, and it returns to its pokeball. Bakuto smiles, "Knew this wouldn't be easy. Absol, you are up buddy. Time for the main event."

The white and red pokemon perks up and springs onto the field to face the Rhydon. Absol looking ready to go staring down the big rock pokemon. Ths time Bakuto didn't have a type advantage or disadvantage, so now the battle would be whose pokemon was better. Bakuto wastes no time to get things started, "Absol, lets start things off quickly, hit that Rhydon with a Shadow ball!" Starting things off with a ghost move, The Red Absol quickly creates a dark ball of shadows then fires it right at Rhydon almost as quickly as Bakuto called out the attack. Looking to hit and batter the Rhyhorn with a ghost attack.

Going back to the ship, after paying for the damages, and buying a few barrels of alcohol he carried all the barrels and the prisoner back to the White Pear all at the same time. Not really surprised the wolf stayed out cold during the trip. He did hit him rather hard to knock him out.

First thing Bakuto does was tie their new prisoner up to the main mast. Using a bit of rope to tie his hands up above his head and to keep him bound heavily with as much knots he could tie up. Not leaving up anything to chance with this zoan type user. Bakuto wanted to throw him into sea so the crew didn't have to deal more with Arafael then they had to. Bakuto needed something to do, he couldn't really go shopping for stuff on the island. He just used his money to pay for the damages he caused in the bar.

Quickly putting the barrels away into storage. That he just bought for the crew. Part of him couldn't wait to crack into the barrels but that had to wait until later, since this is the start of a back up reserve Bakuto got. Once back on the main deck of the ship Looking around the ship Bakuto figured he could do some exercising until it was time to leave. Grabbing a bit more rope and a box of cannonballs. Bakuto was going to do a bit of exercising to use up his time up before his crew had to set sail.

"Two thousand ninety eight....two thousand and ninety nine....three thousand." Bakuto once again hanging upside down from the main mast near the prisoner so he can keep an eye on him. Bakuto was upside down with fifty cannonballs inside a box tied to him doing pull ups. Barely aware of how much time has passed. He had focused on pushing his body to its limits during his exercises trying to strengthen himself.

He stops when he heard 'So how goes Scruffy, or Arafael, so as he calls?'. Bakuto looks around while upside down and sees the captain boarding the ship. Bakuto looks at the tied up prisoner and answers plainly while completely disregarding that he was upside down, "Not sure, I know I hit him pretty hard. I'm pretty sure he didn't croak on us. He was breathing still when I tied him up"Bakuto relaxes a bit when tied up upside down from the cross beam of the mast as if that was a normal every day thing.

The box of cannonballs that was tied to his waist barely misses the ground. Bakuto used it to weigh himself down during his latest exercise. Bakuto looks down at the box, he was actually thinking he needed more weight as he looked at the box. He was waiting for the captain's orders before doing anything just yet.

Ninjask speeds up through its attacks getting faster due to its speed boost ability. Bakuto hears the gym leader tell his pokemon to use Scary face. He smiles, "A move to lower speed good choice but you need to do more to lower Ninjask's speed. Alright Ninjask, let do it again! Aerial Ace then follow with another metal Claw" The Scary face put Ninjask back to its original speed but Ninjask began to speed up again to get into the Aerial Ace maneuver moving in quickly looking to hit the Rhydon with the same combo again.

Bakuto using Ninjask's natural speed boosting to counter the speed lowering move Henri went to use. While also looking to hit the same move combo. Keeping Ninjask moving seemed to Bakuto the best plan of attack against the powerful Rhydon. Still trying to make up for the type disadvantage in his own way.

Bakuto's attacks were now fended off by the wolf zoan type user. Clashing with his finger pistol technique as he attempts to fight this wolf man. All the fight came to a half when the captain put the wolf under a table. Weighed down by the Captain's weight devil fruit powers. Bakuto lands on the ground and hits the finger pistol into the floor next to the wolf. Bakuto snarls, "Give me a reason and next time I wont miss. Playing us like fools you are lucky the captain is nicer then I."

Bakuto hears the captain and backs off long enough to tie the wolf up in his weighed clothing Bakuto, "You might try and provoke me, but remember this. You aren't the only one with zoan powers. Maybe one day we will see what a wolf is like when it faces an angry dragon. Anyway, good news to you. There is a new position on the ship I would think, the ship prisoner. Now when you wake up you can take up your new job" Before any question could be asked of what Bakuto mean. He pulls back and hits the wolf man in the head with almost all his strength. Holding back enough so he wouldn't kill the poor wolf man but enough to hopefully knock out the wolf then he says aloud almost jokingly, "Or he can be fishing bait, if we ever want some fresh sea-king."

Without looking at the captain Bakuto says, "Give my half of the treasure cut to the bar owner. That should pay for the hole I made in the wall and maybe get us a supply of rum for the ship with how of much is left after the wall is paid for. I'll carry this guy back to the ship. Maybe put him in the brig or tie him to the mast or where ever I can put him on the ship." Bakuto then calls back, "Hey little big lady. We are going back to the ship. If you want to find out which ship is ours, follow me. Looks like we need to get going soon" Bakuto goes and tries to pick up the weighed table to get to the wolf man he tied up he was going to carry him to the White Pearl.

Hitting the Sandslash was right with the plan, he hadn't expect it to get knocked across the arena and into a pillar though. When Henri returned his pokemon to much of Bakuto's dismay he called out a rock ground type pokemon in Rhydon. The first move he called for was a rock throw. Bakuto calls out, "Dodge it!" But Shedinja was still recovering from its hyper beam attack could not move. It got hit hard by the Rock throw. And slams against a wall, causing Bakuto to wince slightly. He pulls out it's pokeball knowing the result of the attack Shednija had fainted from the attack.

Bakuto calls out, "Return" Returning the pokemon back to ites pokeball through a red light created by the pokeball. Absol's head perked up looking to get into the battle next. Bakuto shakes his head and says, "Nah not yet, you are going last buddy. That is a tough pokemon we have to use our best for last buddy." Bakuto pulls out another pokeball, "Now go Ninjask" The other of his bug pokemon duo. This one being the flying bug type Ninjask.

Not wasting time waiting for the gym leader to act first Bakuto calls out, "Alright Ninjask, fly around quickly move in quick with an Aerial Ace then follow up with a metal claw!" Relying on his pokemon's speed to face against the type advantage the gym leader has. Looking to get in quickly with a quick flying move, then try to hit with type move that might be able to hurt the Rhydon.

Bakuto waits to make an attack, watching sandslash move. Even when it started to fury cutter to slash through the double team images he still waited. Eventually Sandslash hits through and nails Shednija with a fury cutter but wait nothing happened to Shednija as if the move had no effect. Bakuto smiles then yell, "Now at point-blank range Hyper beam!"

At the instant of the command Shednija unleashes a huge hyper beams right at Sandslash, who happened had to get close with the fury cutter move. A powerful beam like move Bakuto had waited until Sandslash was right there able to take the full attack with very little room of attack. Knowing the toll hyper beam puts on his own pokemon it would leave it open for attack if Shedinja launched the attack and missed. Instead Bakuto waited for Sandlash to get close and relying on Shedinja's wonder guard ability to get the hyper beam attack as close as possible.

Getting ready, seeing the first pokemon is a Sandslash. Bakuto fights the urge to pull out his pokedex for this pokemon and continue the battle. The first attack being a Sand attack in the sandy arena, Bakuto wasn't really surprised but Bakuto yells out to Shedinja, "Brace yourself." A move meant to affect accuracy Bakuto, it's a move that can get through Shedinja's wonder guard. Being that it is more of a status affecting move rather then an attack

Shedinja gets attacks, it shakes a bit, maybe having trouble seeing from the attack. Bakuto calls out very quickly, "That's right shake it off, quickly double team, don't make it easy for it to attack you!" Shednija starting to make double team illusion like clones quickly. Each looking like the original making. Not attacking quite yet but trying to make it harder for the sand flinging pokemon harder to try and hit it with more sand or any other attacks.

Following the gym leader he hears him call for 'Nido' and sees a Nidorino follow the gym leader. Bakuto smiles remembering what Thomas Redcliff said about the gym leader and how Nidorino was one of his pokemon that wasnt gym regulation. Once entering the battle arena, Bakuto looked around but quickly gets into postion where he must stand and continued to listen to Henri the gym leader.

When he was asked how many Pokémon he wanted to battle with. Bakuto answers quickly, "Three Pokémon sounds fine to me." Bakuto pulls a pokeball from his hip then presses the center of it to expand the pokeball. Bakuto looks down at Absol next to him. "Not you yet buddy. We know this is a ground type gym but we need to still see what he has first and we have the perfect guy for the job of seeing what he has." Bakuto looks back towards the gym leader "If we are going to do a three team Pokémon battle then lets get started! Go Shedinja!

Throwing out his first Pokémon he intends to start this battle off with first. His ghost, bug Pokémon Shedinja. Absol just lays down out of the way and off the arena floor just going to watch the battle or take a nap it is hard to tell at the moment what Absol was going to do while waiting for a turn to be sent out to battle. Bakuto waits for the gym leader to pick his Pokémon next before trying to come up with a full strategy to deal with these ground type Pokémon.

Seeing the Marowak respond then going down a dark corridor. Bakuto waits he could hear the Marowak talking but couldn't make out what was being said. He could assume what the Marowak was saying as most pokemon say their own names when talking. Bakuto waits and sees a man emerge then introduces himself as Henri the same guy that Thomas told him who was the gym leader.

Bakuto smiles and says, "I am Bakuto, I am here for a gym battle." Bakuto went straight to the point after introducing himself and stating why he is there. Not sure what to expect he just is getting ready to mentally get ready for a pokemon battle. Waiting for Henri to accept the challenge then Bakuto would go where he needed to so he could start this battle if they were to get ready to get started on with his very first the gym battle.

If you are serious about reviving this, I'd love to take part in this again. Especially since we never really got started apart from the first 3 posts. I'd like to take part in this if it continues again.
