@Dirty Dan Two things, remember that without Power as a specialization, you'll not be very adept with it, though not inept either. Other thing is that you're too old. Only those conceived after the factor was introduced would be Powered, so the oldest Powered would be at most 25 years and 3 months old

Personality: A blood knight to an extreme, he enjoys combat a little more than is likely necessary. Off the battlefield, he's generally very lazy, and he's always got a quick tongue.
Personal History: One of the first conscripted into the World Breakers 5 years ago, though not necessarily by choice, he has found a bit of a home for himself there. His considerable time in the group has allowed him to gain the real of a field commander, though his subordinates often question his worthiness as such. Still, he likes what he does, and would not trade it for the world.
Power: Explosion/Ignition
Specializations: Power, Agility
Subspecialization: Intelligence
Weakness: Endurance

We're all superhuman, but we still have things we're better and worse at than one another. These are all relative. Even those of us with weakness intelligence are going to be, at worst, smart as the average person off the street. It's how good/bad you are at using the boosts, so to speak.

It's vague, but I like the idea. Were you shooting for some kind of a psychic military unit or something closer to superheroes?

Ehh. Closest comparison would be something akin to X-Men or the Avengers, but with a more military bent.

World Breakers

In 2018 it happened. Some called it the end of the world, others called it a new beginning. An unknown asteroid was on a collision course with the Earth, one large enough to cause an extinction level event. Scientists worked hard and developed a weapon capable of destroying the asteroid, and, with almost no time to spare, the weapon activated, and the threat to the world was destroyed.

However, the asteroid came close, and with its destruction, debris rained down on the earth, and an unknown factor entered the atmosphere.

This factor bound with the DNA of newborns, and soon enough, they came...

People with powers over that of normal humans. Each of them gifted with heightened strength, heightened speed, heightened durability, heightened intelligence, and each of them born with a unique ability.

Some of these people would, when awakened, begin to terrorize the average masses, and as a result, human progress halted to a snails pace, even with others fighting back.

Those born effected by the alien factor were known as the Powered.

Within the Powered, a group was formed. The World Breakers, who have taken it upon themselves to try and regulate the activities of other Powered, such as themselves.

Nikolai paused once again, wondering if he may have picked someone too dangerous for a traveling companion, but, as he remembered he was a pirate, he discarded the line of thought. "I suppose we should try and rest while we can." He scratched his head. "We're going to need to get this girl repainted soon. Don't need to deal with the Navy looking for a stolen caravel any longer than we have to. And the last thing we need is someone mistaking us for the Navy."
