Hi and welcome!
I started roleplaying about 18 years ago and have recently returned to it because I missed it. I most like adventurous sci fi and fantasy, or more slice of life to action action filled modern day magic and mutants. I'm not into fandoms anymore and I'm not looking for romance roleplays either.
Often people create dark characters with heavy pasts. I do that sometimes too, but my character will then have a 'that's just life. Deal with it' attitude instead of feeling sorry for themselves. I also enjoy playing characters without such a heavy past. I enjoy the sciences so playing a scholar or mechanic is right up my alley. I also practise martial arts, but thougg I oike playing fighters, they are more the stealth characters than the muscled ones. I don't like hormonal (teenage) characters. I don't take death lightly so unless I'm playing an assassin my characters will look for ways to avoid murder.
Lastly, I love being a GM and controlling an entire world. I have some sci fi and modern fantasy worlds in my mind which I would like to play out here. I'm also a regular player, mostly casual where description is limited to what's necessary rather than describing every step, scent, bite or thought that occurs.

Family: Levan's parents have 21 children who survived their first winter. He is the middle of those children. His siblings can be found scattered through the region.
Personality: He comes off as a know-it-all at first because he can tell you facts about pretty much anything and he won't hesitate to do so. But when you get better aqcuainted you learn that he does know a lot. Or rather, he seems to know a little bit about everything. Aside from that he's a friendly, good natured guy who likes making people laugh. He would rather stand aside, watch and tell you how something should be done than actually doing anything himself. He is surprisingly strong, though. He's not much of a fighter but if you need heavy lifting, he's your guy.
Brief History: Levan grew up on a farm as the middle of 21 children. There was little time for personal attention, but everyone worked together to get through the sometimes harsh winters. With plenty of brothers before him to inherit the farm and plenty after him to do the farm work he left home at 15 to travel with a gleeman.
Levan was no gleeman himself but very interested in the stories. After a few years he ran into a scholar and decided to study with that man. Another few years later he went out on his own to study anything interestinghe came across. Now he's looking for an artefact which is supposed to hold special powers. He hopes to study it, write a book or two about it and make a name for himself in the world of scholars.

Do you know those mmorpg's where you have a quest board you can pick quests from to fulfill? I'm currently setting up a sci fi rp with someone where I come up with quests for that person's character to pick from, but I have room for more than 1 rp. Anyone else interested?
I'm not familiar with Discord. Is that something for the PC or a mobile chat app?
