I would have to say no to playing a straight Owlbear, because it does cause imbalance when it comes to D&D mechanics. It also wouldn't be fair to you, because the Owlbear wouldn't be able to level up with the rest of the party.

However! I do like the narrative idea, and the party is in the Domain of Delight Prismeer. Weird stuff happening is a norm at this point.

If a Bugbear can be reincarnated into a Gnome, who says an Owlbear can't be turned into a person? XD

So, I would be okay with you playing as Juniper if you're okay with the Owlbear turning into a person. ^_^

happy to have Juniper later turn into a person, or even another kind of pet/companion that is more appropriate for the party. I'm also open to Juniper being a druid in disguise that somehow got temporarily beefed up in the Domain of Delight and couldn't figure out how to change back? Whatever works best for you! If you let me know I'll start working on the character/narrative.

Extremely ridiculous, but is anyone signed up to play Juniper/the owlbear? I've read through a few pages of threads and characters and I don't see anyone listed.

I'm new to the forum (but not to RP) and would love to hop into this one but I can see it's got a very rich history. Would love to bumble along as an owlbear friendo if it wouldn't cause too much imbalance.
