Liam returned to the Pokemon center. While Hitmonchan was healed, he began deciding who to take to face the gym.
The announcer said that they planned for the unlikely odds of a draw, and have the prize for both competitors. Both trainers will receive a black belt, which increases the power of fighting type moves. Liam thanked Hitmonchan for his hard work and received the belt.
The dust was starting to settle from the explosion. Hitmonchan was KO'd, however the dust had not cleared to see if the opponent was KO'd or not.
Hitmonchan took the hit and fell to his knees. "Thunder Punch!" Liam called.
"Bullet Punch!" Liam called.
Well, I think everyone stopped posting. I was waiting on someone else to do something.
"Ice Punch!" Liam called. Hitmonchan threw a frosty fist toward he fiery kick.
"Bullet Punch!" Liam called. In an instant, Hitmonchan rocketed an iron fist toward the Kicking Pokemon.
It was time for the final match. Liam called on Hitmonchan.
Liam's next opponent used a Tyrouge.
Tyrouge, The Schuffle Pokemon. Tyrouge can evolve into Hitmonchan or Hitmonlee. It is always bursting with energy. To make itself stronger, it keeps on fighting even if it loses. To brush up on its fighting skills, it will challenge anyone. It has a very strong competitive spirit. Hitmonchan punched the Tyrouge with several blows, during which it evolved into a Hitmontop.
"[i[ Hitmontop, the Handstand Pokemon and Tyrouge's third possible evolution. It fights while spinning like a top. The centrifugal force boosts its destructive power by 10. If you are enchanted by its smooth, dance-like kicks, you may get a closer experience with one than you'd like."
Hitmonchan managed to win the fight and Liam advanced to the semi finals.
