Axel and Gible maybe basic level Pokemon, but that doesn't mean they are weak. Execderil has advantage over Fairies, the Dragpn's biggest weakness. I personally would likely take Dragonite, since it would be the best training."

Iris explained the story on how she and Dragonite met. Iris said they would use one Pokemon each, and she'd let him pick which one she uses.

When the three reached the Gym, they were greeted by a young women with an Axew. She introduced herself as Iris from the Village of Dragons in Unova. She explained she came here to learn from Clair, and that Joy was to go out into the Dragon's Den to look at the Pokemon in question. Liam offered to go as well, but Iris said that is was a rule, Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny aside, no one can enter the Den without permission from the town's gym leader. Iris had all of her Pokemon running around out of Pokeballs. She offered to battle the boys if they wanted.

"Axew, the Tusk Pokemon. They use their tusks to crush the berries they eat. Repeated regrowth makes their tusks strong and sharp. If a tusk breaks, a new one grows in quickly.

Emolga, The Sky Squirrel Pokemon. They live on treetops and glide using the inside of a cape-like membrane while discharging electricity. The energy made in its cheeks' electric pouches is stored inside its membrane and released while it is gliding.

Escadrill, the Subterrane Pokemon. It can help in tunnel construction. Its drill has evolved into steel strong enough to bore through iron plates. More than 300 feet below the surface, they build mazelike nests. Their activity can be destructive to subway tunnels.

Dragonite, the Dragon Pokemon, and Dratini's Final form. Dragonite is capable of circling the globe in just 16 hours. It is a kindhearted Pokémon that leads lost and foundering ships in a storm to the safety of land. It is said to make its home somewhere in the sea"

Liam also saw that she had a Gible as well. She also noticed that her Dragonite's eyes were way different then the ones in the Pokedex.

"You have some nice looking Pokemon as well." Joy said. She admitted that She was about to go over to the Gym to look at the Pokemon and offered to let them accompany her after she gave them a quick healing.

Joy asked to see what Pokemon they had on them. Liam and his mom went outside. He grabbed his six Pokeballs and tossed them up. "Everyone out!" Sherlock the Alakazam, Sylveon, Gible, Dragonair, Snorunt, and Chansey emerged. She was surprised to see her own son had a Chansey. She loved Sylveon. She also commented that he had built a good team to face Clair with.

"Yup." Liam replied. "I wondered if you saw my roots back in Pewter City." Liam replied as he pushed his hair back to show some pink starting to grow out at the base. "I am the first son to be birthed by a Nurse Joy in decades." Blackthorn's Joy approached Shranui. "So, you have been traveling with my son?"

Liam brought his friend the smoothie.
The door opened again, and a voice Shiranui has heard countless times called out: "Are you home son?"
"Yes mom!" Liam called. "Come meet my friend." A women came around the corner. She was Liam's mother, she was none other then Blackthorn's own Nurse Joy.

Liam told him that the photo was taken by a pokemon, who didn't quite get cameras. He asked Shiranui what berries he would like in his smoothie. The only details that could be identified on the figure in the bed was that it was a woman, a bit of pink that was a tad to dark to belong to the pink pokemon who took the photo. After a little while, the door opened. Florence, the Blissey entered carrying a bag of groceries. Florence sat them down and happily ran over to Liam and hugged him. She then walked over to Shiranui and held her arm out. "Blis Blis ey!" She said with a smile.

Liam brought Shiranui to a lovely house. Inside the hall was decorated with many pink items. Sitting on an end table was a photo. The Photo was taken in the hospital room. The person in the bed's face was obscured by a pink blob. The person in the bed was holding a baby wrapped in blue cloth with a tuff of pink hair sticking out. Standing next to the bad was a younger version of Liam's father, who had an Abra in his arms.
"Go on and make yourself comfortable man." Liam said. He offered to make a berry smoothy for his friend.

Blackthorn came into sight. "I can't believe I'm home." Liam said as he stepped into town. "Follow me to my house." Liam said.
