Liam asked Meowth, about how he got separated from his friends, and how they are going to find them in such a big town as Luminose. Meowth said that they were going to go to the tower while in town, and there is a Pokemon Center nearby it. He then explained that they were traveling and got attacked by four people. two boys, two girls. He noted one of the girls was too young to have Pokemon, but had a Pokemon riding in her little purse. He continued that these four constantly harass them and attack them in addition to their Pokemon.

"No use hiding it then." The Meowth replied. "Can you three help me? I got separated from my pals, Jess and Jimmy!"
Along the path, Liam saw something on the desert ground. It was a Meowth.
"Meowth, the Scratchcat pokemon, and the Preevolved form of Persian. It is nocturnal in nature. If it spots something shiny, its eyes glitter brightly. They adore round objects. It wanders the streets on a nightly basis to look for dropped loose change." The Meowth moaned as it stirred.
"Oi vey," Meowth replied. "That really hurt." He then noticed the heroes standing there and screamed. He then nervously began trying to talk in Meowth language.
"Shiranui, Ryan is the heat getting to me, or did this Meowth just speak the human language?"

Liam found his bag was partially unzipped. Liam showed Ryan that the compartment he keeps empty balls in was partially opened. "It came from my bag." Liam closed it back. "Well, let's head back to Luminose, I have been waiting to face this gym for a long time."

All of the workers were freed. They thanked the heroes. After exiting the plant, Liam placed the Sandshrew back down on the ground and pet its head. "You take care of yourself Sandy." He said with a smile. Liam then noticed the Sandshrew was holding something in its little hand.
"What do you have there?" Liam inquired. Sandshrew opened his hand to reveal a Luxury Ball in its shrunk state. Sandshrew pressed the button to make it grow and then head butted it. Sandshrew was sucked in and the ball pinged shut immediately.
"I guess Sandshrew wanted to come along." Liam commented.

"You punks haven't heard the last of Team Flare." The bald Admin said. He dropped a smoke bomb and when it cleared, all of Team Flare was gone. Liam noticed more power plant workers bound and gagged in the corner and freed them. They thanked the heroes for the help and went to make sure all of the other workers were freed.
Eventually, Liam found the main control room. A bald man in a white coat and a girl with strange glasses were inside. They were identified as an Admin and Aliana respectively.
"What do you two think you are doing here?" Liam asked.
"You stupid kids wouldn't understand Team Flare's glorious plans." The Admin replied.
"You cannot hog all the power at this plant." Liam scolded.
"We're going to show you three some manners." They called out a Houndoom and Mightyena.
"Houndoom, the Dark Pokemon. Long ago, people imagined its eerie howls to be the call of the grim reaper. The flames it breathes when angry contain toxins. If they cause a burn, it will hurt forever.
Mightyena,Mightyena gives obvious signals when it is preparing to attack. It starts to growl deeply and then flattens its body. This Pokémon will bite savagely with its sharply pointed fangs. Mightyena travel and act as a pack in the wild. The memory of its life in the wild compels the Pokémon to obey only those Trainers that it recognizes to possess superior skill."
