Setven tossed a Pokéball into the air and a discolored Metagross emerged. He commanded it to pick the heroes up with psychic and go "there" Metagross did as instructed and carried the heroes to a far off island. When they arrived, Steven said that he wanted some extra eyes while he looked for something on the island. Liam heard footsteps and turned around to see three members of Team Aqua, one of which was Admin Matt. Matt didn't bat an eye at seeing three reputable trainers on the island, while his grunts were unnerved. Matt ordered them to get out of the way, and that they needed what the island held to further their plan.

The general idea will be that Stephen's shiny Metagross will teleport us to where the Latis are, and Lance will receive Mega Evolution from this as well.
A little further down the route, the heroes encountered a man with hair that was a light steel color, and eyes to match. He recognized Shiranui and Liam from their league matches. Liam recognized the man as Hoenn's champion, Steven Stone. "Greetings Champion Tsukiko, 'Dragon Master' Coleman." Steven greeted. He than asked the heroes if they would accompany him on an errand.
The Transport Pokémon made the trip across the water. Once the heroes were on the other side and all off of Lapras, Liam recalled it. Liam saw Gabby and Ty up ahead. They waved to the heroes and walked up. They said that the battle/interview with Liam got very high ratings, and this time they wanted to challenge Champion Tsukiko.
Liam called out Lapras to carry the heroes across the water.
Liam acquired the supplies that he would need.
"Sounds like a good idea." Liam stated.
Liam had Sherlock teleport the heroes to Mauvile. "Alright, now we have to go east."
"That sounds like the easiest way to do it." Liam said after getting his team healed.
Liam went next. Norman sent out his first Slacking. Liam called on Hitmonchan.
"Yawn!" Norman yelled.
"Protect!" Liam called. Norman's attack failed. While Slacking was unable to move from Turant, Liam called for a Power Up Punch. The move landed a critical hit and did a fair amount of damage. (40 *STAB *Weakness + Iron Fist = 144 Power) Hitmonchan's attack stat went up as well. This time when Slacking was able to move, it used Slack off and recovered the health it just lost. Liam called for Power Up Punch again and did a little bit more damage. His attack stat was now upped twice. In Slacking's next Turant, Another Power Up Punch was made and this Slacking was on it's last leg. Norman called for another Slack Off, as otherwise Slacking would go down for sure this turn.
"Vacuum Wave!" Liam called. The priority move hit Slacking before it could heal and won.
Norman next called out Vigaroth. Liam called for another Power up Punch witch hit, upping Hitmonchan even more. Norman called for a Crush Claw, that hit and did fair damage. Liam called for a Drain Punch, which missed and gave Vigorish an opening for Focus Punch. Hitmanchan was missing a lot of health after that move. Liam called for another Drain Punch, hitting this time and KO'ing Vigoroth while restoring some HP.
Norman sent out his final Slaking. Liam asked Hitmonchan if he wanted to continue, which he did and than called for one more Power Up Punch. Slacknig was hit and fired off Yawn, this time successfully. Liam knew that he could play it safe and switch out in the freebie turn, or he could risk it and try to finish it. He had used Power Up Punch five times now, which would yield a nice boost. Hitmonchan learned Focus Punch after seeing it once and landed it due to Turant keeping Slacking from moving. (120 power * STAB * Weak +Iron Fist + Atk boosted 5 stages) A bunch of dust was thrown into the air with the move. Once it settled, Slacking was KO'd and Hitmonchan was asleep on his feet. Liam was named the winner and Liam was presented with the Balance Badge.
