It was time for the contest to begin.
"Hello! And welcome to the Fortree Pokémon Contest! I'm your host, Vivian Meridian!" The audience applauded. "Today, we have thirty co-ordinators vying for the Fortree Ribbon!" Vivian announced as she held up the lavender colored ribbon. "Now, let me introduce today's judges! The head of the Pokémon Contest Committee,"Mr. Raoul Contesta!"
"Welcome everyone. I'm excited to see what our talented coordinators have to show us today."
"The head of the Pokémon Fan Club,Mr. Sukizo!"
"Fortree is remarkable!"
"And last, but not least, Fortree's very own, Nurse Joy"
"Let's all have some good clean fun."
"Now, it's time to begin! Will the first contestant please step onto the stage!"
"Now, it's time for contestant #30! It's none other than 'Dragon Master' Liam Coleman!" Liam came out on stage. "Snorunt! You're up!" Liam called. "Ice Beam!" Liam called. Snorunt made a twisting slide from the ice. "Now, Light Screen!" Snorunt conjured a dome that was used as a sled. Toward the end of the course, Liam tossed a Dawn Stome. Snorunt did an aerial backflip and caught it. White light enveloped the area. "Signal Beam!" Liam called. the attacks smashed through the ice, causing a rainbow of sparkles to fall down.
""Quite a chilling display. It is pleasant having all of the ice is a refreshing change in the summer time."
"Frosslass is remarkable!"
"Reflecting the light from evolution though a bunch of ice was very illuminating."

The next morning came and Liam got up early. He went to do some last minute practicing on his appeal.
The Pokémon were brought back once they were healed. Joy than ordered the duo to go to bed.
The heroes entered Fortree at dusk. Liam went straight to the Pokémon Center and handed his Pokémon to Joy for healing.
"Yeah," Liam said as he looked at the sky. He estimated it would be nightfall by the time they arrived in Fortree, and the contest would be tomorrow.
"Seems very likely." Liam stated.
