"Throw it off corse with Hurricane!" Liam called. Mega Pidgeot conjured a fierce windstorm.

Pidgeot was hit and dropped the ring. "Brave Bird!" Liam called. By tucking in the wings, Mega Pidgeot received a substantial speed boost After plowing into Honcho, he grabbed the ring back and began to move for the goal.

"Mega Evolve and Mirror Move!" Liam called. Pidgeot began to chase the Talonflame as he mega evolved. He snatched the ring back.

The round began. Liam called for Agility. Pidgeot grabbed the ring first and started toward the goal.

It was time for the final. Once Liam and Shiranui were up in their respective balloons, Liam called out Pidgeot.

Liam now went up against the town's gym leader, Winona. So far, Liam had not needed to use Mega Evolution. Both bird Pokémon emerged from their respective balls, and the game began. Swellow caught it first. and made a beeline for the goal post. "Now, Air Cutter!" Liam called. the sickle of air hit Swellow, making it drop the ring. Pidgeot grabbed it in his talon and flew toward the goal. Winona called for an Aerial Ace and the ring was snatched back.
"Tailwind!" Liam called. Pidgeot sped up and snatched the ring back.
"Agility!" Winona called.
"Mirror Move!" Liam called.
Swellow caught up, but Pidgot got away before the ring could be snatched. Winona called for Steel Wing. Liam called for Aerial Ace to speed up toward the goal. Pidgeot tossed the ring toward the goal right before getting hit by Steel Wing. Swellow did not have enough time to grab the ring and Liam advanced.

The heroes went to the part of town that was set to host the Pokéringer contest. The rules were explained about how each Pokémon would try to get the ring and put it on the goal. It was also stated that a local breeder donated an egg as a prize for the winner. The breeder in question also said that the Pokémon inside was not native to Hoenn.

Liam made his decision and reorganized his team to be ready for the competition as well as the upcoming gym battle. A Chansey than brought Liam and Shiranui their Pokémon back from healing. Liam thanked the Chansey.

Liam received the ribbon and Vivian announced the next contest would be in Lillycove. Liam inserted his ribbon into the case. He went to the Pokémon Center and handed Froslass over for healing while he decided on who he should use for the Pokéringer contest.
