"Well, we need to catch back up to her before she causes damage to the planet that can't be undone." Liam said. Getting upstairs on the top, where Liam remembered finding Rayquaza when Groudon and Kyogre were rampaging. Once ontop He saw Zinnia talking to Aster. She saw them and began another speech.

"Welcome to the Dragonhark Alter! Liam, Shiranui, you do realize what I'm trying to do here, right?" She asked.
"You're trying to summon Rayquaza to combat the meteor." Liam said.
"That's very good." Zinnia said. "That is my," she paused to correct herself, "our duty." She turned to look at the night sky. "Ever since I was a little girl, I have always turned my eyes to the night sky. When I felt so full of uncertainty that I felt in my heart might be crushed by it...When I was so grief stricken and alone I thought my heart may break of it...I turned and looked up there...so that my tears would never, ever fall. I use to watch stars like these all the time...Together with Aster, in both the good times, and the bad. I loved her, with everything I had. But, I still lost her. I want to see her, to be with her again. I will, in just a bit longer." She told Aster the Wishmur to step back and she knelt on the floor, in a bowing-like position. Liam saw that each clinched fist held something. "With jewel bright and borrowed might from the spirits of the departed...Through sacred rite, in thy great sight, my life as well I offer..." Blinding light came off of the objects in her hands. Liam recognized it as the same light from Mega Evolution.
"I summon thee...to aid...this fight...and save us...from disaster! Realize them...upon the world! For this, do I summon thee! RAYQUAZAAA!" With a roar, the green dragon soared down and perched in front of Zinnia. Zinnia cheered at her success. She than asked Rayquaza to grant her wish, for Rayquaza to Mega Evolve and reach its true power and save the planet. Nothing happened and Zinnia was shocked to see the keystones didn't react, and couldn't figure out why.
"I don't know, maybe because you stole them?" Liam asked annoyed. Rayquaza again roared.
"You mean that it's not me that is lacking power, it's you?" She asked. She was bummed that the meteors that powered Rayquaza had lost strength all these years had weekend over time. Something shined from Liam's bag. He pulled out the meteor they had gotten earlier in their trek through Hoenn. Liam pulled it out of his bag to inspect it. Rayquaza reached out and grabbed it, eating it whole.

Rayquaza than roared as its power built. Zinnia said that Rayquaza was wanting to challenge Liam to a battle to build power. Liam stepped forward. "Deraglge!" Liam called. The Poison/Dragon emerged from the Luxury Ball. "Dragon Pulse!" Liam called. Rayquaza used Extreme Speed to hit first, and triggered Poison Point. Rayquaza was than hit with the Dragon move. The poison struck. Liam called for a Vennoshock. Rayquaza went first and used Hyper Beam. Both Pokémon were hurt badly by the attacks. Poison again struck Rayquaza. Deraglge used Draco Meteor while Rayquaza had to recharge. "Liam than tossed a Master Ball at Rayquaza. Rayquaza was sucked in and caught, after the ball shook for two and a half minutes. Liam called out Gallade. He handed Gallade most of his Pokéballs and told him to go to Oak's Lab and have these switches made. In a moment, Gallade retuned with the adjusted team Liam wanted. Gallade then took his ball in shrunk form and teleported back to Oak's Lab.
"Enough is enough Zinnia, give us the keystones you took now!" Liam said annoyed.
She said that she had two more duties left, the first was to pass the move Dragon Ascent on to Rayquaza, which she did simply by touching the ball which held Rayquaza. She gave it back to Liam and jumped back, saying the other was to battle him in a 5-on-5 battle. She completely ignored Liam's order.

Zinnia sent out a Goodra, Liam did as well.

"Goodra, Attract!" Liam called. Zinnia's Goodra fell madly in love and was unable to make a move. "Toxic!" Liam called as his next move. Zinnia's Goodra was badly poisoned. She tried to use Body Slam, it hit but trigged Gooey.

"Swagger!" Liam called. Zinnia's Goodra had her attack skyrocket, but was confused. Her Goodra hurt itself in confusion.

Liam called for a Dragon Pulse and KO'd Goodra. Tyrantum took her place.

Goodra used Draco Meteor and got a critical hit, one shottng the opposing Pokémon. Zinnia switched him out for Altaria. Liam switched Goodra out for his Shiny Lapras

Lapras used Ice Beam and won due to the 4x weakness. Noivern replaced it and Liam sent out Rayquaza.

"Rayquaza, Mega Evolve!" Liam called activating the Keystone. Rayquaza changed form and roared. Very strong winds began to blow in the area. "Dragon Pulse!" Liam called. The powered up move KO'd Noivern. Salamance replaced it.

Zinnia Mega Evolved Salamance. "Draco Meteor!" Liam called. The attack crashed down on Salamance and KO'd it. Liam had won. Zinnia commented that she expected no less from the "Dragon Master". She turned her back on the heroes. "I guess, its up to you now 'Dragon Master'." She turned back with a smile on her face. "You should be able to beat that Meteor that is about to crash onto the planet, you and Rayquaza together." Steven dropped down from a Skarmory that flew by. He quickly tossed a suit to Liam. It was a space suit from Mossdeep. He had figured what they were trying and brought it. Liam quickly put it on and got on Rayquaza. Rayquaza launched into the air, going to the top of the atmosphere, and eventually all the way into orbit. Rayquaza charged through the meteor, shattering it into chunks that would do very little, if any damage upon entry. A small triangle remained floating there where the meteor was. It jumped around briefly, and than tentacles began to come out of it. It turned out to be Deoxyes. Deoxyes began to attack Rayquaza. Liam thinking quickly tossed another Master Ball as Deoxyes got close. Rayquaza got closer so Liam could grab the ball once it clicked shut. The duo returned the the pillar. Liam rolled off Rayquaza, grasping the Master Ball tightly. Rayquaza reverted to normal. Liam pulled the helmet off and thanked Rayquaza, recalling it to its ball. He put both in his bag. He then collapsed and lost consciousness.

"That woman in Meteor Falls said that Zinnia had been using an organization to use Primal Reversion to try and flush Rayquaza out." Liam said. "Obviously she was working with one or both of the teams." Liam said. "Either that, or she worked with one and a mole leaked it to the other team."

Zinnia came out from a corner she was in. "Oh, it's you two again." She said. 'You two sure are persistent. Well, I'm going to give you something." She told them to look at the far wall. She explained that it held the history of humanity, Pokémon, and nature itself. They were the tales passed down by the Braconids for thousands of years. Se then explained it to the heroes.

"So, you're telling us that not only is Rayquaza the first Pokémon to achieve Mega Evolution, but that is originated from here in Hoenn, and not in Kalos?"
"That is what the legends say." Zinnia replied.
"I thought hard for a long time about how I could protect the happiness of as many people as I could. What I must do, as the one who has the knowledge and power, one who bears the heavy wishes of those who could not...live up to that fate... Well, I had to be creative, you know?"
"By being responsible for Team Magma and Aqua both nearly destroying the planet at the same time?" Liam said annoyed. Zinnia simply ran off.

Liam agreed. He had Gallade come out and take them to the destination, but there wasn't a soul there.

Pokémon Hoenn: α and Ω

"I bet I know who you're referring too." Liam said. He had Gallade come out and teleport the duo to Meteor Falls. Gallade had pinpointed Steven's presence and teleported to that spot. He was talking with an elderly lady, who was introduced as an ancestor of the ancient Draconoids.
She said that they were tasked with passing down the knowledge of Mega Evolution, with the lore of the great Lord Rayquaza, who begun it all. She also told of great disasters that plagued Hoenn in the past. She gave examples of these disasters as Primal Reversion happening, as well as a meteor falling from space. She went on to say that a wish was made at a rainbow colored stone, and Rayquaza's body was transformed. In this state, Rayquaza was able to even overcome the Pokémon with Primal Reversion.
Steven drew connections between the story and Mega Evolution, to which the lady agreed. She than implied that Mega Evolution was first discovered due to the first meeting of humans and Rayquaza. Sh went on to say how each generation had a Lorekeeper that has the power to summon Rayquaza when disaster strikes the world. Her name is Zinnia. She has been trying to save the world in her own way. She told an organization how to build a machine to that could be use to revive ancient threats, so the great dragon would appear. She was now roaming the land, scouring it for key stones. The elderly lady informed the heroes and champ that she was doing what she felt was best, no matter the cost.
Liam thanked the woman for telling them all of this. He turned to Shiranui. "So, she has stolen your key stone, and possibly Wally's as well in order to enact her plan to get Rayquaza." Liam remembered how he happened to find Rayquaza at Spear Pillar, and simply wrote it off as luck to have found it resting when he needed it. Steven said he was heading back to Devon Corp.

"Rayquaza of course." Liam said. "But we might need a backup plan should Arceus forbid, Rayquaza be unable to stop it."

"You're right." Liam agreed. "Or even worse, that wormhole could toss the meteor back in time and it hit the planet in the past. But, I don't see many other options, aside from having every Pokémon in the region fire Hyper Beam at it to completely vaporize the thing."

"Yeah, I can't put all of this stress on him." Liam agreed. Liam hurried back to the Pokémon Center and had Sherlock healed. He than switched Sherlock out for Gallade. Gallade teleported the duo to Mosdeep's Space Center. They were ushered upstairs where Steven stood with Prof Cosmo. Liam handed over the meteorite. Cosmo explained that in a nutshell, the plan was to combine Infinity Energy with the power within key stones to make a 'warp hole' between Earth and the Meteor so that Earth would be saved. He stated that they would need one more meteorite shard to make this work. There were footsteps coming up stairs as Zinnia burst into the room, with her Wisher, Aster in tow.

'Wow! So this is the famous space center that everyone is talking about." She said aloud. "Pretty impressive, isn't it Aster?" The Wisher nodded in agreement. Steven approached her and asked who she was. Zinnia ignored the question and tried to say that the space center was about to make an "abominable" mistake.
"Would you rather we do nothing?" Steven inquired.
Zinnia talked about how they were going to straight up make the same mistake that was made in the past if they weren't careful, and that they should be absolutely sure of their actions before advancing. With that she and Aster dashed off again before they could retrieve the key stone.
Prof. Cosmo went on with what he was saying before about another Meteorite, this time from Meteor Falls. Steven said that this time, he would meet us there.

"Well, we really can't let that fall into the wrong hands." Liam said. "Well, we need too find those meteors." Liam said. Inside the cave, They found Zinnia, looking at a mural that featured Groudon and Kyogre, both on Primal form.
"Well, seems like its true. It really is just like the wall painting there. This one shows Primal Reversion, while the other shows Mega Evolution. That proves it, our ancestors really did live here once. They passed down to me the knowledge to protect the world, and avoid the thread to the world." Her Wishmr than alerted her to the heroes' presence.
"Oh, its you two, we keep meeting huh? Are you here to see this painting, or are you here for the meteorite? Either way, I want you to battle me. She called out a Tyrantum. Liam sent out Sylveon. Sylveon used Moonblast and one shotted Tyrantum. it was switched for Altaria, and Liam switched Sylveon for Sherlock. Sherlock used Ice Beam and froze Altria's wing, making it crash to the ground. Altaria used Shadow Ball, Sherlock was hit critically. Sherlock next used Psychic and KO'd Altaria, who was swapped for Salamance. Liam swapped Sherlock for Deraglge. A Toxic/Venoshock combo devastated the Salamance, who was barely able to fire off Draco Meteor, leaving it as a draw.
"Yeah, that's it, just what I was looking for! That was awesome Liam, full points to you, have this meteor shard." She said tossing it to Liam, who barely managed to catch it. She began to leave but asked, if the actions if their actions were based off of ideals that they clung too, or actual truths. She also asked if they were the latter, how much truth did they actually know? She than ran off before they could stop her to retrieve the keystones. A telepathic message was sent to both heroes from Steven through his Metagross, asking them to bring the Meteor to Mossdeep if they had it.

"Hey!" Called a familiar voice. It was the region champion, Steven. He told the heroes he needed to relate some important news to them about what was going on.
