Liam wondered what he could expect from the Battle Factory and was also deciding what to do for the contest.
The heroes arrived in Cerulean City. Liam healed his team up at the Pokémon Center.
Celebi turned and saw Dante standing there. Celebi, who was still invisible floated off to hide behind a tree and wait for Dante to go on his way.
Once the heroes reached the cave's exit, Liam recalled Smaug to let it rest.
Unknown to Dante, Liam had sent his Celebi to use stealth to avoid detection (and to avoid causing a panic) to try and repair Viridian Forest after the fire that raged within. While the forest had been mostly fixed, there were still a few signs that there had been a fire there, one such instance being a small number of Pokémon in the area.
Smaug stood back up and walked alongside Liam so that the heroes would have the light to exit the cave.

Starter: Bulbasaur when he arrives
Bio: Dante has lived in Fortree City his whole life and worked as a cemetery caretaker's assistant at Mt. Pyre. Everyday he would take a lantern to light a path through the misty fog for his day to day job. He has seen many battles take place during his time of apprenticeship at Mt. Pyre. Dante realized that he should try traveling the world to better understand life's mysteries but he didn't know where to start. His dream came true after hearing about a Pokemon professor inviting new trainers to pallet town to start their journies. He gathered what little funds he had, as well as an incense container, and bought a ticket to Kanto. There he starts his grand journey in Vermillion city. He grabs a tourist map and wonders how he is ever going to do this.
