"Jiriya! It's time to shine!" The Greninja emerged. It took a ninja-like pose.
"Rhyhorn, horn attack!" Nolan called.
"Water Shuriken!" The attack shot forth and hammed Rhyhorn hard. After the three hits, Rhyhorn was panting heavily.
"Megahorn!" Noland ordered.
"Night Slash!" Liam called. Rhyhorn charged forward and was blocked by a blade Jiriya conjured. Rhyhorn was knocked back and the blade was tossed at it. The hit was critical and KO'd Rhyhorn, earning Liam the Knowledge Symbol. Noland told them the next facility was near Saffron City, and it was the Battle Arena.

"I'll take Rhyhorn." Liam said. The two selected pokémon stepped forward. Nolan asked who wanted to go first. Lia offered the honor to Shiranui.

"Hello there!" Came a voice from behind them. Scott walked up alongside a man in a white coat and red hat. Scott introduced him as Noland, head of the Battle Factory.
