BlairWith that, it was time to head to the Tower. The Frontier Brain, Anabel was ready to go and explained that each trainer would use three Pokémon. She started off with Espeon, and Liam called out Hydro the Blastoise. Anabel began with Grass Knot, whihc dealt a good amount of damage. Liam called for a Dark Pulse, which Espeon jumped over and fired Swift. Hydro was pelted with the stars, until he rickorceted them back toward Espeon with Rapid Spin. Espeon fired off Shadow Ball and Hydro used Dark Pulse, which pushed the Shadow Ball back, making them both hit Espeon. Espeon next used Psychic and Hydro was KO'd.
Liam next called out Sherlock, the Shiny Alakazam. Alakazam finished Espeon off with a Shadow Ball, Anabel sent out her own Alakazam in response.
Anabel called for Psychic. Liam responded with Mega Evolution Psychic. Sherlock overpowered the other Alakazam. The battle was than a battle of the minds, which didn't take long for Sherlock to overcome. Sherlock finished the Alakazm off with a Charge Beam/Shadow Ball combo, but not after the other Alakazam got multiple good hits wth Shadow Ball.
Anabel's final Pokémon was Metagross. Metagross managed to finish off Sherlock after a well placed Meteor Mash.
Liam's final Pokémon was Jiriya the Greninja. After setting up with Double Team and Agility, Jiriya was hidden in the rafters, while he had multiple copies running around the stage. Anabel had realized that Jiriya has Protiean and was currently Psychic. She called for Pursuit, Which Liam called out for Night Slash to drop the damage. All of the clones lunged at Metagross, All of who were dispersed with Metor Mash. Anabel was surprised when Jiriya lunged from above and landed a direct hit to Metagross' head, KO'ing it. Anabel praised Jiriya on his stealth and awarded Liam the Ablity Symbol. She said that once Shiranui beat her, she would divulge the location of the final facility.
