Liam had an idea. He told his friends to stay here, and he would be back real soon. He called out Dragonite and flew off to a nearby Pokémon Center, returning very soon after. He held a Luxury Ball in his hand, as most of his Pokémon resided in such. He tossed the ball into the air and Smaug the Charizard emerged.
"Buizel, Smaug here was once upon a time in a similar position to you," Liam explained. "I figured that he might be someone you could talk to."
Smaug stepped forward to begin talking to Buizel.

The berries that were knocked out of Liam's hand were quickly scavenged by a group of Pikipeck, who flew off with them.

"The poor Buizel," Liam said aloud. He pulled out a few Orren Berries from his pack and offered them to Buizel. In the meantime, Dragonite was gathering the dishes up so they could be washed.

"So, shall we move on once the dishes are done?" Liam inquired.

Liam finished his food, and thanked Mike again for it, a gesture Liam's Pokémon gave as well.

"That was really clever." Axel thought to himself. "Not many people would decide to go to a weaker form to buff an ally, not unless they were certain of their victory." Axel looked around at the Digimon involved in the combo, and their partners as well. Is this what it is like to have someone to trust? To know that someone has your back? Many questions began to stream through Axel's mind.
"Holy Shot!" Kudamon fired his attack into a nearby plastic trash can, launching it into the path of the incoming attack. The trash can exploded in a small cloud of smoke. He may not be able to do much harm to this enemy, but Kudamon could still play on the defensive if needed.
"Axel! wake up!" Kudamon yelled when he saw his partner staring into space. "This isn't the time for daydreaming." In stopping for this, Kudamon was not watching his back, leaving himself open for a counterattack.

"I can't just leave this to you guys," Kudamon said. He fired off another Holy Shot to combo with Leomon's attack. "If I want Axel to open up and work with the others then I need to show him how to do so." It was quite clear that on this front, Kudamon was going to make a stand. "Even if it means I get deleted, I have to show Axel how to work with others again."

Having now recovered some energy, Kudamon re-entered the fray. "Holy Shot!" Kudamon fired off his technique in an attempt to distract Maildramon, to give Peckmon a better shot at dealing a good blow. Kudamon may not be able to do much yet, but he was happy to contribute in anyway that he could.

Liam and his Pokémon all chowed down, thanking Mike for the food.

"Eh, I'm not to worried about him," Liam replied. "I'm sure he won't be that difficult for me to handle. But, we will cross that bridge when we come to it. So, shall we go off to the water trial?"
