"I took on the Marowak Totem," Liam stated.
"Well, let's give it a shot," Axel said as he returned to his ghost form.
"After we get the Grass Z-Crystal, it will be time for the second Grand Trial, right?" Liam inquired.
"Shall we move on to Lush Jungle?" Liam inquired.
"Well, I personally can't wait to get to do some real combat," Axel said with a smile.
"So, after we are all done here, where is our next stop?" Liam asked.
"That makes sense," Axel said, nodding. "Does it have any backup weapons in case one of us half ghosts are unable to go ghost, or will we just be sitting ducks?"
"That was just about the gutsiest thing I have ever seen," Liam commented. "Good job."
"Thanks," Liam said. He used a Max Revive on the Totem Pokémon as well as on his own, so that they would all be ready for the next fight.
It was Liam's turn. He easily detected the differences in the dances and got to the battle with the Totem Marowak. Liam started with Bastille. Bastille was ordered to kick up a sandstorm. Marowak tossed the bone at Bastille, but it was knocked astray by a Shadow Ball.
(sandstorm 1)
Marowak used Shadow Bone, and scored a hit, however Bastille got off an Iron Defense on time to cushion the attack
(sandstorm 2)
Marowak Used Hex while the Cubone it summoned used Bonemerang. Both moves hit, and Bastille used Absorb on the Cubone, healing itself back to full.
(sandstorm 3)
Marowak used Shadow Bone again but missed giving Bastille an opening for Shadow Ball. Unfortunately, Bastille also missed.
(sandstorm 4)
On this turn, Marowak used Shadow Bone and scored a critical hit, KO'ing Bastille.
(sandstorm 5)
Liam sent out his own Alolan Marowak. The totem Marowak proved to have an edge of Liam's, but the two fought each other to a near draw, with Liam's barely coming out on top, earning him the Firium Z.
