Liam balled his hands into such tight fists that his knuckles turned white. "When I find the people responsible, they will be the ones needing a doctor." Liam then went to help distribute the medicine to the poisoned Pokémon.
"That is interesting," Liam commented, concerned what the problem was for them.
Liam saw the hurt Alolan Vulpix as well. "The poor things," Liam said looking at them. One of them weakly looked up at him.
Liam was intrigued when the information brought up that Nagandel was a dragon. Lusamine thanked Liam for the data on it and prepped the data to be sent to all of the professors to be added to the Pokédexes.
Liam also sees the sign, "Well there's safety in numbers, we should be fine if we stick together." Liam saw just before the entrance to the cave in the mountain stood a Pokémon Center. "It would probably be a good idea to stop in real quick, at the very least to let Lusamine get her data on Poipole's evovled form."
Along the way, Trevor appears and says that he wants to challenge Liam to a one-on-one battle, it had been a while and he wanted to see how they stacked up. Liam agreed to the match.
"Florges, go!" Trevor called, sending out a white flower Florges.
"Poipole, it's time to shine!" Liam called sending out the Ultra Beast.
Trevor had no idea what Poiple was and called for Fairy Wind, a move that did very little to Poipole.
"This thing isn't a dragon?" Trevor asked surprised.
"Poipole, use Poison Jab!" Liam called. The attack landed directly but did not manage to poison the enemy.
"Use Psychic," Trevor called. Poiple was hit and his Sp Def was lowered.
"Toxic!" Liam ordered. The blob of poison landed on the Fairy-typed Pokémon and began to do its work. Trevor ordered a Psychic attack, but it missed.

Florges used Psychic, but missed and was hit with Venom Drench. Since Florges was already poisoned, its Atk, Sp Atk, and Speed were all lowered.

Florges used Psychic again and hit, putting Poipole in a dangerous position. Liam ordered Poipole to use Venoshock, which did double damage with the target already poisoned.

Both Pokémon were worse for wear, it seemed as though if Poipole took damage before the poison triggered again, he would lose.
Trevor called for Giga Impact, which Poipole just barely managed to avoid before doing a final Poison Jab to finish Florges off. Poipole began to celebrate and began to glow white. It grew bigger and gained a pair of wings. The three stingers on top of its head moved to the bottom and the middle stinger grew to a much larger size.
Liam thanked Trevor for the battle and made a mental note that he would need to send Poipole to Lusamine so she could get some data on it.

Liam switched his clothes as well and was ready to go.
"We can head out once everyone is ready,"
"Thankfully, mom had a bunch just sitting around." Liam sat the boxes down on the table. "We just need to send them back when we are done with our business up there," Liam said.
