"Are you sure Jen? It isn't technically required to go get every single Z crystal on the island before going to the kahuna, which we all have. We have all gone above and beyond the requirements," Liam pointed out. "Also, if Looker is in the region, something must be up."
"Yeah, but since we have gotten every type-specific Z Crystal so far, I think we have that covered. Not to mention in our cases at least that we are region champs."
"Well, we could bring along some fighting types," Liam proposed. "Also, I thought they were bound to similar rules as gym leaders of not being allowed to deny a challenge."
"Yeah, we need to go take care of them, but we also need to prepare first".
"Thanks," Liam said. "So, I guess we now need to find the Kahuna."
Liam went next, facing the Totem Alolan Sandslash. Liam sent out Smaug. Liam activated the Mega Bracelet and made Smaug Mega Evolve to Mega Charizard Y and OHKO'd the totem with Blast Burn. An Alolan Sandshrew emerged from the snow and handed Liam the Icenium Z. The totem Alolan Sandslash proceded to show them the movements to the Z Dance. Liam praised Smaug for the good job and returned to his friends. A wild ice type in the cave negated the Sunny Day with Hail to keep the place from getting too warm as soon as the heroes left.

"Be my guest," Liam offered to the others.
Liam had the pair of Ice Stones stashed in his bag, he would be able to evolve the Alolan Sandshrew once he was ready, and was trying to determine when would be a good time. This is something he was pondering on the back burner on the way to the trial site.
