One of the men freaked out at this. "I-It's 'Carbon Copy Takeru!' Run for your lives!" a few began to flee, while some where foolish enough to stand their ground. Takeru's arms morphed into the form of swords and he began sword fighting two of them. He kept up with both of them, knocking people into the water as he beat them. If he kept this pace they should have the ship cleared in no time and they can leave. Once they did, he might be able to move on with his personal agenda, but since he would never have made it on his own, this seemed like a great time to go.
"That is what I was thinking." Liam added. "The last time I saw it was when he challenged my on the SS Anne and I KO'd it with what looked like a critical hit."
"Thanks for the heads up." Liam said. The tall tower came into view as they walked in. Inside the tower they found Trevor. He turned and saw them.
"Hey, Liam, Shirranui, what brings you two here? Your Pokémon don't look dead." It was the way he said that that made Liam uneasy. Trevor called on a Growlithe and Liam called on Hydro. Growlithe used Roar and made it switch with Ivysaur. Ivysaur used Sleep Powder and while his opponent slept, was switched back out for Hydro. Hydro used Water Gun and KO'd Growlithe. Trevor sent out his Ivysaur and Liam switched Hydro out for his own Growlithe.
"Ivysaur, use Poison Powder!" Trevor called.
"Flamethrower!" Liam replied. the purple powder was burned up in the air before it reached the target.
"Leech Seed!" The seed wrapped itself onto Growlithe who used Flame Wheel and hit ivysaur hard enough to activate Overgrow. Growlithe's energy was zapped and Ivysaur was switched for Gyarados. Gyarados used Aqua Tail and did critical damage to Growlithe. Growlithe used Roar and Gyarados was switched out for Pidgeotto. Pidgeotto used Steel Wing and finished of Liam's Growlithe. Liam called on Clefairy. Clefairy used Metronome, which turned into Dragon Pulse, dealing fair damage to Pidgeotto. Pidgeotto used Sand Attack and Clefairy used Moonblast. Pidgeotto used Peck and Clefairy used Attract. While Pidgeotto was immoblized with love Clefairy pulled Thunder Punch from a Metronome and KO'd it. Pidgeotto was switched for Gyarados.
Clefairy used sing to put the Atrocious pokemon to sleep While it slept, Clefairy used Wake Up Slap and KO'd Gyarados, who was swapped for Ivysaur, who had a double KO aginst Clefary with Tackle and Pound respectively. Trevor sent out Kadabra for his final Pokemon. Liam sent out his own Kadabra ,Sherlock.
The two Kadabras became locked in a psychic battle. Both launched a Confusion and the attacks met in mid air. Trevor's Kadbra would start to overpower Liam's, then it would be the other way around, then flip back and so on for several minutes. Eventually, Trevor's Kadbra lost and was hit. Now, Psybeam!" with that Attack, Tevor's Kadbra was KO'd and he lost the match.
After he stated he was out of Pokemon Liam asked: "Wait, what about your Raticate?" Trevor's face became full of grief as he shoved past them to leave. Liam's face became filled with dread at the possible implication he thought of...

After returning to town Liam healed his pokemon with the gloomy Nurse Joy and was ready to proceed to the tower.

Liam congratulated Shiranui. "Well the next gym is in Saffron. It would be best to go to Lavender Town's Pokemon Tower to look for some ghost types."
Liam arrived at the gym and intorduced himself to Erika. She called on Victreebel.
Victreebel, the Flycatcher Pokemon.Once ingested into this Pokémon's body, even the hardest object will melt into nothing.
Liam called on Sherlock.Erika began with Stockpile. Liam used Calm Miind.
"Victreebel, Gastro Acid!" Erika called. Victreebel hurled purple goop at Sherlock that negated Synchronize.
"Use Psychic!" Liam called. Sherlock used a mass of Psychic energy and did massive damage.
"Use Bug Bite!" Erika called. The super effective hit critically. Sherlock was worse for ware.
"Psychic!" Liam called. Both Pokemon were close to being knocked out.

"Recover!" Liam called at the same time. Sherlock's recovery saved him from losing.

Bellossom, the Flower Pokemon. When the heavy rainfall season end,. Bellossom gather and seem to dance. They say that the dance is a ritual to summon the sun.
"Calm Mind!" Liam called.
"Petal Blizzard!" Erika called. A storm of petals smashed into Sherlock.
"Calm Mind!" Liam commanded again
"Leaf Blade!" Erika called.
Sherlock was on his last legs again.
"Ally Switch!" Liam called. Sherlock used psychic power to switch out with Growliethe, and allow it to have the stat buffs Sherlock did.
Bellossom used Poison Powder and poisoned Growlethe
"Flame Wheel!" Liam called. The attack hit and due to the buffs, KO'd Bellossom. Erika sent out a Tangrowth.
Tangrowth, the Vine Pokemon.It ensnares prey by extending arms made of vines. Losing arms to predators does not trouble it.
"Tangrowth, Ancient Power!" Erika called. Growlithe was hit.
"Flamethower!" Liam called. with the powerful attack he KO'd Tangrowth and Liam earned the Rainbow Badge.
