Gotta love people suddenly becoming apolitical when someone is doing something they approve of.

Is it annexation though? The CSA are rebels. The US is merely reclaiming its territory.

Not even reclaiming my territory. The states are still part of the US, I consider the populations and governments of those states to be in rebellion.

I sincerely hope that win or lose, the Allies will not insist on an overly bloody war. Can we both agree to give up when defeat is inevitable and offer an amicable peace when we win?

Sound thinking. Now if someone could get the CSA to think like that!
I'd be interested in something. Don't know how active I can promise to be with work and college starting this fall.

I probably rolled very high, plus it was a national focus, plus I know just who they will be serving under...@Outcast, in the eastern theatre, where are mine and Byrd's troops stationed?? I think it said I retreated but never specified where.

The main battle line is somewhere in North Carolina, about thirty miles north of Raleigh.
The main difference was the real life ones were essentially suicide squads more than likely all forced to participate. In a lot of cases they weren't even given firearms. They weren't given freedom and I doubt there were a hundred thousand of them.
So, the CSA are setting slaves free and giving them guns to serve in the army that wants to keep slavery going? I don't want to nitpick, but I imagine Aegon had to have rolled really, really high for that to have as little blowback as it did.
The last WiR I was in started in 1900 and I think it made it to about 1908 or 09 before the big war started. It was different than the real thing, most notably the UK stayed neutral if I recall correctly.

Fine print, hmph.By the way, speak on the Mexican matter. Exercise those muscles of American hegemony over the Western Hemisphere.

Kinda hard to flex those biceps when I'm having to use one of my arms to beat the other one into submission.

CSA's defense for their right to exist seems to match neutral policy.

It's "We Exist", not "We Exist and Want to Keep Owning Slaves."
