The rebellion in China is a cause for concern of the people of France, especially those living abroad in French Indochina and the Shanghai French Concession. With a mindful eye towards France's Oriental interest, we accept Russia's offer to form an international fighting force that will assist the Qing Empire in putting down the rebellion. I implore the rest of the powers with Asian interest to follow suit. It is our duty to protect our people with our own arms. They need comfort that the homeland never forgets a Frenchman in need.

The treaty we signed last night. We all need to include it in our orders for it to go through.

With Aegon preparing to surrender, is it okay if I change my orders? I know it may be way too late for that, but they're all related to the war. The main thing I would do with my orders is try to push the treaty with the UR and France through.

General Grant,

I have read of your recent exploits into the heart of South Carolina through dispatches. While it pains me to see so many men lost, I do know that it is not your fault. The Northern papers call you butcher when the onus of this slaughter is at the hands of the South. Even now with Davis in the wind and slavery dead as a doornail they continue to fight us blind to all reason. I have discussed matters with my cabinet and your orders are to continue your push. Memphis has been lost, but does that matter with you only a hundred and thirty miles from Charleston? We are so close now. As weary as the people are of war, it would be a personal affront to those that died if we did not make their deaths count for something. Command Maj. Generals Sherman and Sheridan as you see fit, but place them in position to advance on Southern lines. My fate and your fate, as well as the fate of the United States are now intertwined together in this one campaign. I say with all faith in your abilities to push forward, attack the rebels and do not relent until you can see the ocean and the buildings of Charleston. Good luck.
